Posted: 3/17/2008 9:18:04 AM | ^^Too funny! OP, braces are a good thing...it beats the alternative of having no teeth or bad teeth. They are a worthwhile investment in yourself. I had mine at the tender age of 34 and it had no negative effects on my "game" when I had them. Men were actually intrigued by them. Best to you!  | |

Posted: 3/17/2008 10:33:04 AM | OP, wait until you start to forget you have them - I'm to the point where I have to go back and give people a head's up before I meet them because I'm so used to it that I don't remember anymore...lol they told me it would happen when I first started, but I have to admit I didn't believe it.

No - nope. See, in my opinion most people including yourself have one hell of a lot of things going for them - qualities, etc, etc - you name it. I happen to notice alot of people on here that everything they do must be absolutely written in stone about how the dates' goin go and what they expect out of the person -
Braces - braces is the most pettiest issue if you are concerned with girls being attracted to you. If some girl doesn't want to know you, well then too bad for her. Braces sure aren't gonna break a deal with someone and if there is someone that has a problem?? someone even better will come along immediately.
So - get the braces, they do wonders - I may have to get braces myself; and smile!!
All you need to know is that you have strong qualities that others sure could use in their life. | |

Posted: 3/22/2008 9:06:56 PM | Honestly, if I were to see any guy past about 18 with braces, my initial reaction would be to be a little thrown off, simply because I'm not used to seeing it. However, it sets you apart from the other guys in a crowd, and it puts you at a distinct advantage. There's plenty of cute icebreakers you could come up with:
"Hi! I'm [your name]. Wanna see my metal face?" (Grin.)
"Oh no, these aren't braces. It's the latest rage -- tooth piercing!"
"Excuse me, I just ate a robot for lunch. Do I have anything stuck in my teeth?"
If someone came up to me with a line like that, I couldn't help but chuckle. And once you've gotten a girl to chuckle, you're IN. Good luck! | |
