My secret single behaviour is that I don't have to clean my house.
I'm not a slob, either ... nor will a white glove ever stay white in my home ... but I also discovered the first time I ever lived alone that the house got dirty even with no one else around to get it dirty and it didn't get clean until I raised it up to a high enough priority to actually do it.
So, the bed "airs" more. Dishes might take more than 1 day ... but I am less and less tolerant of that one even from myself. Hardwood floors do not get a daily mopping ... but I can't stand them more than a week. Biggest problem is the gardening. I am hiring that since the weeds are now winning thanks to the heavy rains.
Sharing my home definitely gets me to keep it cleaner. sigh. | |

My best friend laughs because when I have a date, she says I spend all day cleaning the house just right so it doesn't look like I just spent all day cleaning the house. You know, the right amount of clean mixed with just the right amount of the lived in look. Usually by the time my date arrives, I'm exhausted! And by no means am I slob either, but with 2 dogs and hardwood floors, just cleaning the floors can be an all day project. | |

I read in the bath-tub with a glass of wine. Several times I have dropped my book or magazine and twice the phone. No survivors! As long as you don't drop the wine... I think it's OK.
Sometimes, I have bed day. I get up, take a shower and go back to bed for the rest of the day to read, or watch movies and stay there all day. I go and make food and bring it back to eat it. Bed is wonderful. | |

I love my bed too. I have what I call the "Princess in the pea bed" a very high bed that I have to climb up into with a feather mattress and really good sheets. Sliding between the sheets at night is such a pleasure! | |

I love mine... I bought great sheets when I got it.
They are so soft that I love crawling into it at night.
I also bought two different comforter sets, so I can change the look when I feel like it.
And when I get up in the morning... I make it.

I have some poly filled pillows, but only like to sleep on down generally. In fact, I am pretty picky about sheets. I am not happy unless they are 400 thread count sateen.
I have been mocked for my dedication to bedding by many men, but if I am this interested and concerned with my shoes and handbags, it should only follow. The way I see it, if I am going to spend one third of my life there, I should really enjoy it. | |
