This isnt an exclusive community, and there are nut jobs out int the tangible realms and the virtual ones.
There was no gate on this community, no bar that said you must be this not crazy to enter.
Reality isn't that bad. Im here right now. And while these wacked stories hit headlines, the thousands of incidences where people go on normal dates and have medicore good times go unrecorded.
Tell you what, the next date I go on, I will post to the Forums. "Eric Goes on a date and lives to tell about it!"
of course im being facetious and melodramatic For those who could not tell. Im not about to stop my life because some stranger out there in the cosmos is tripin spitting psycho. Hey, datting sites are good to meet people evidently. The guy might have got robbed and all most murdered, but he did get a date too. | |

When leaving a date and I have that weird feeling, this is whenI go by an ex's place, that way, if they decide to do anything to the place that they think I live, they do it to my ex's instead. Payback are not only h3ll, but fun! | |

I read the link. Remarkable that the guy was still alive. Some commented on the size/caliber. Based on personal experience, even a .22 looks mighty big when it is pointed right at you. Never met anyone yet who could outrun a bullet.
While I am in total agreement about personal safety issues, just don't go to the other extreme either. Common sense and prudent caution are decent guidelines, but paranoria is another kettle of fish. Kinda like watching TV news. If that is where you get news from, you would think every house is on fire, all planes crash, etc. | |

If a kid getting bullied on facebook is plastered all over the news you'd think someone getting lured to a house, robbed of their savings and shot 11 times would be all over CNN for weeks and there'd be calls for extreme reform to dating sites. Have not had any problems with anyoen trying to mug me. Jsut over sized women who lie on their profiles. I have met some women where it did work out for a time. You know how thigns are you date for a few months then you end up arguing or whatever. You pull out your penis she pulls out her pistol. you shoot her in the face and run away whiel she is blinded. | |

I sure as hell would have feinted at the bank - not come round till the ambulance got there and then faked breathing problems till they took me to the hospital pretending I had no idea who the hell the other person was gun or no gun, at least the ambulance would be on hand to repair any holes that I had that might have needed repairing
No seriously: that is why it is always imperative to meet in a public place and use the mobile to contact others as to how it is going.
Hell if a bloke dont like security - or a woman ALARM BELLS RING, dont go.......
