| REVERSING THE SPELL Posted: 5/16/2008 10:56:26 AM | ((Hi Swan, hope your having a good day honey .... for all the sisters and brothers))
To have the second soul it's true The one to stand up and fight for you The one you love with all your heart the one who shares your night in the dark
Doesn't matter if you know their name you know they hear you just the same When advice is offered ... when it's free Does a world of good for you and me
'Cause in this world that we do share There are enough that do not care Rhyme or Reason they have their own Their story that turned their heart to stone
When you have a second soul around They can help you up when you fall down Never judge or trial between the two True friends love that's me and you.

| REVERSING THE SPELL Posted: 5/17/2008 9:04:26 AM | what great testaments to our power, to our strength, as women, as sisters, as simply us!!! borrowing my inspiration from hammy's "wind of strength"............
there are breezes that brightly do bring blessèd respite there are zephyrs that sweetly solace our softest sighs but my soul sings only with the gusty gale for I AM WOMAN the wind that fills all sails the vessel that carries the lightning the maker of mighty waves that flow into the rivers that connect us all a power invisible that no man can hold and all men covet for we are the makers of the first breath all of us, each and every one, are goddesses of love!

| REVERSING THE SPELL Posted: 5/18/2008 12:13:39 PM | Forgive me the trite simplicity of this write. I was trying for something much more exotic. I'll have to keep playing with it.
Dance of the Seven Veils
Shrouded in black, head to toe Arms lifted high, twirling, twirling Beauties in-waiting take a hold of the black Twirling from beneath, revealing blue
Arms stretched wide, twirling continues Pause before one, beauties tug gently Silk slides softly, dancer in pose Hidden from sight, under veil of rose
Her dance becomes fluid Her form is unseen Another removed Dance continues in green
When green is removed Revealed is sheerest of white Eyes reaching yours now She dances this night
Underneath sheer Cream, draped from nose down Removing it slowly Reveals a red gown
This last bit of silk Grecian in style Displayed before one Discarded with a smile

| REVERSING THE SPELL Posted: 5/20/2008 12:19:50 PM | have to thank someone for the impetous to write this. i realize now how impossible it really is for me to open up to anyone. what the hell am i doing here? i guess just getting cathartic relief.
I am not the easy word mastered and put into order delightful and surprising I am just a deeply scarred scared woman who knows that dragons do exist
I am the one chained on the rock, waiting to be devoured by her mulitude of dragons because knights in shining armor do not do rescuing house calls anymore and I do not possess beauty enough to make it worth their while
so let's just be content to meet on the shores of the pond with the glare glancing off its waters obscuring my myriad faults anonymity a double edged sword both piercing and protecting me
we shall lie here, stretched out in the sun and our days will pass like glazed landscapes on a fine porcelain plate gilded and sweetly golden and I shall kneel in fervent prayer that you will not someday see under the tendril, the smoothing wave oer my brow the writhing snakes you never saw before
your sweet mary now a medusa
no let's not chance it let's walk along this tumbled shore and I will try to forget the turning seasons, the constant inexorable casting off of what has grown old, useless my veins clogged with memory and regret, wishing I were small again lithe and lovely in limb a spark once able to generate conflagrations consuming everything not this creature so cold so cold and behind her, the burned out blackened miles of mistake after mistake after mistake
no, I am not this poem spilling gracefully here I am just an old woman taking dictation from the moon silvered, hoar-horror frosted too fragile to meet anyone half way
i had my heart broken here once. by someone i adored. admired. someone who i would never meet, nor ever have a chance with, but whom i cherished and thought was a friend. lay one rejection over all the others and here i cower. forever.

I LOVE YA WOMEN!!!! | |
