As far as mailman talking about Illusions, they are under new owners and if need be the food might be catered. I dont think they would charge anyone at the door for anything considering that the people drinking will be paying for it. He also said that we could start there early and he would open the doors to only us and than around 10:30 it would be opened to the public....Sorry but why are you so negative with our ideas....Plumb email me and if you would like to get together to talk about this let me know I would not mind being a helping hand...As long as I get koodos for the next event held and we have the same turn out as we did last night. | |

The people that were at that event in Dec 06 told me that they had a lousy time and everything was not as expected.
Regardless, a place like Illusions would not be big enough to handle a crowd like we had last night. Sure it's nice that you get a good turnout, but there comes a point where too many people is no good either.
If you want my input on places on the island, just ask. If you want to set this up with Mike, then that's entirely up to you too. | |

i now know exactly where nino's is. had you said the old Marco Polo's, instead of those****mammy directions, i would have known right away. Marco Polo's was a (believe it or not) restaurant that featured italian-chinese cuisine. honest to god. it was there for most of my life on s.i. but i never knew a single person who ate there. can you say moneylaundering?

i had planned to go to keyport but never made it. had a prior engagement. playing poker with my 78 yr. old mother and her older friends. the fossils cleaned me out.
it's not easy to play them. they make up all these crazy rules and wild card combinations and it takes about 20 minutes after each hand to see who won.

get with it lady. this is new jersey and you have to pay a toll if you drive more than twenty feet in a straight line. lol
actually, see earlier post - playing cards with the "girls" (so old that when they cough dust comes out of their mouths) on s.i. and i had to pay the damn $8 again and monday i have to pay it again to go pick up my tax forms. i ived on s.i. most of my life and believe me, in its present condition (and having been re-named south bay ridge), it certainly isn't worth $8. | |
