Posted: 3/15/2008 2:54:52 PM | i like freckles. lindsay lohan has freckles, and some other stars as well. of course lohan ain't what she used to be, but her freckles made her stand out for sure. freckles can be hot, like when i see a girl with freckles i wonder how far down they go. i dated a girl with freckles for a long term, and i never even noticed them, and when i was aware of them it's still nothing bad and even somewhat attractive in that it makes her look unique or exotic.
the only sticking point would be that they almost symbolize youth, since some people's freckles do recede with age, and they harken to kids playing under the sun when school's out. in this way, it might be disadvantageous to a boy with freckles, as they subconsciously trigger images of youth/adolescence/ron howard that does not bode well for his chances to be hot to the girl. but a girl with freckles benefits from appearing young/innocent/lindsay lohan. that's my take on it.
being different and special is what we are all about. don't be ashamed to look how you do. every person is a blessing.

Sure , not everyone is going to like them just like some dont like brunettes or short hair or any other feature. Learn to love what you have and you will be surprised how other people are attracted to the thing you least thought would attract someone. | |

i have been peppered with freckles all my life, and at 48 i still have many and more still if i keep in the sun too long. I love them, get postive comments on them all the time and many men find them hugely attractive. | |

I think the bigger deal here is, substitute any word for "freckles" and you'll cover every single person on the face of the planet.
People with, "insert word here" are at a disadvantage.
Look, not everyone is attracted to everyone else. People have likes and dislikes, including you. You don't meet someone elses wants, so what? There are people that don't meet yours either. Suck it up and move on. | |

Faces without freckles are bland. I dont ever remember anyone not
wanting to date me because I have freckles, actually they would question
that I was all italian. I should be dark with dark eyes and hair. I have the dark
hair but the eyes are light and the freckles are on my nose and other
places.

Posted: 3/23/2008 8:57:48 AM | My dad was a strawberry blond, redhead. He had freckles between his toes and on the inside of his ears. I don't! Like so many people without freckles, I don't find them offputting in the least. Heck as you get older you can pretend all your old age spots are freckles (hey, the freckles will hide the old age spots anyway). In a way, the whole 'freckles are nasty thing' reminds me of how many of my friends with curly hair hate it, whereas I have straight hair and would prefer wavy. It's all what you have/don't have .. opposites attract, etc., etc.

If you ask people "which do you prefer, with freckles, without freckles" - the majority will pick the norm... without freckles. Stand a real live person in front of them, however, and they are looking at the total person, not one isolated and inconsequential aspect of the person... their opinion changes.
Singling yourself out because of one feature is sabotage. Learn to love yourself, not your features.... then suddenly the features you didn't like so much become loved as a total of yourself.
Freckles aren't ugly.... self loathing IS.
*I have freckles and red hair and a feisty attitude.... I can change everything but the freckles... but wouldn't... as they're as much a part of me as my Irish Ire!! | |

Oh I did have one of those facial skin evaluation thingies done at The Woman’s Show last year. You know the one where you stick your head in a box and everything glows different colours and the 18-year-old with the overly made-up plasticy skin tells you what all the colours mean from some cheat sheet on the other side of the box because she knows nothing about what condition your skin is actually in? Yeah that one. She said, "see those pink spots, those are your age spots"...I replied, "You mean my freckles? Oh my Gawd! I've had age spots all over my face since I was two!?!" LOL ... She didn't get it...which made it funnier.
