| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 3:46:58 PM | Show me how Obama can win....
If the Dem primaries were counted like the Repub Hillary would have wrapped it a long time ago...
Sorry but I don't expect Clinton to win...I want you to explain how Obama is going to become President...
Because of Bush... McCains wife won't show her Taxes.... Hagee.... Are not answers... There will be Plenty for Obama to address.
Electoral vote??? | |

| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 3:50:21 PM | It's not that i identify with your race so much, but Hillary WILL lose and just because Mr. Obama is black does not mean he will win. I have a whole lot of respect for what YOUR RACE HAS DONE TO PROPEL ITSELF. I REALLY WISH ALOT MORE PEOPLE WOULD GET THAT INCENTIVE, IN ALL RACES. OVERALL YOUR COMMENTS IMPRESSED ME. I JUST KNOW I FEEL EXACTLY LIKE THE INDIVIDUAL THAT CALLED HER " SLEAZY" AND ANOTHER SAYING SHE COULD BE CALLLED "SLICK HILLY". THAT WAS HILARIOUS. THANK YOU FOR A LAUGH THAT NEARLY MADE ME ROFL. Incidentally, I DO judge people by their character and it's not that impressive out there either. In other words it is better, of course, and when people finally get judged on who they really are it will be a terrible day for them. VVVVEEEERRRRYYYY SSSSAAAADDDD .

| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 3:56:34 PM | | Bob for goshs sake , I'm not spending any more time tracking down polls and facts. I have posted them a gazillion times already. He can win, he will win, and that's the facts, jack. | |
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 4:14:30 PM | I am not talking about polls??? Is Wyoming Going to Vote for Obama...He Defeated Slick Hilly....
What state is Obama going to win, swing state? South Carolina Voting Blue? West Virginia? Alabama?
Or A red state... All I hear is how easy this going to be...
So you cannot show any path to this win...
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 4:17:43 PM | If we're talking about the nomination, he's already won.
If we're talking about the generals, there are too many factors and we can't do any logical reasoning on it yet. We can only go by polls. And the polls show Obama is ahead of McCain at this point.

| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 4:38:17 PM |
Obama will not get the votes needed to win.
Thank you, Madame Zelda. Unfortunately I have no silver to cross your palm with today. Maybe you can look into your crystal ball and tell me when I'm going to get my Economy Stimulus Money?
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 4:45:03 PM |
Obama will not get the votes needed to win.
If your speaking of the democrat nomination I half-heartedly hope your right. I'd like to see the democrat party go the way of the whig party... They have shown very well they no longer represent their base. They just want to rig the nomination anyway they can and if Hillary is nominated then everyone will wake up to that reality.
American needs a new party and is ready for one, we're tied of the two same old miserable choices...
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 4:53:22 PM | .
No.... not the Primaries...
Slick Hilly lost in Feb sometime ... Thats all I have heard for the Obama people.... Including Ted Kennedy... The Man that Showed up at the convention down 700 Delegates...... Still pushing to take it from Carter 2nd term..
I am asking for a swing state or Red state Obama can win...
I see this as a close General election ... It should not have been.....
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 5:01:16 PM | Well, the swing states this year according to wiki are
New Hampshire Pennsylvania Arkansas Florida W. Virginia Iowa Michigan Missouri Ohio Wisconsin
I'm not sure but I think he could take several of those over McCain. I think he could take Michigan, Ohio, or Arkansas (provided Hillary gives him proper party support) and/or Iowa. What do you think?
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 5:24:01 PM | | Obama is the first Democrat to win a nomination without winning a big state. Hillary's getting robbed in this primary. Obama is being backed by the super elite of this nation. Something is going on we dont know about yet and Im not buying into this Obama Scheme. Obama is not showing all his cards . | |
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 5:50:08 PM |
Yes. Come close. Let me whisper. Closer. Much closer. Here it is - Obama is part black.
I don't think this counts as something Hillary would prefer not to reveal.

Maybe it is no conspiracy just like she was the favored with the African American population and now she only holds less than 10% of the vote. She was the favored with women and that vote is turning. The only vote she is truly holding is the senior vote and senior women (her age group). Maybe just maybe the way she has carried herself is the turning point.
The media said she forgot she was running against someone in her own party. Maybe she is trying too hard to make everyone feel she is the hardest, strongest most experienced candidate (totally obliterate), and people are tired.
We need someone that can negotiate at this point and bring our soldiers (my son and his troops) home. We do not need someone telling us what we want to hear (gas tax) just to get a vote. One to many misremeberances, misstatements and being misspoken.
This is not high school. We live in the information age. Everything is just a click away.
She has underestimated the American people, thinking the Clinton name would be a clincher.
Yes, we need a women, just not her. We need a real women that truly has a heart and compassion, but can get something done.

I cannot dispute what they have called. Look at the 2000- 2004 way the states broke.
I think florida is Red... Blew it. Mich is a swing state.... Maybe...
Obama was second choice in needed states.... Not a good sign...

| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/11/2008 11:29:55 PM | People in the Black community had a very high opinion of the Clintons, now that Obama is in the race their memories have suddenly been altered.
Wrong. People (both black and white) who had a high opinion of the Clinton Administration in the '90's were focused on Bill Clinton......Hillary was irrelevant. When Hillary entered this election cycle, some people initially responded to her because of name recognition. As soon as folks remembered what a bungler Hillary is, many of them made other choices.
Hillary didn't do anything in the 90s except to mess up the White House Travel Office; screw up the "universal" health-care proposal; conceal the files of her dead ex-partner Vince Foster; and not get shot at in Bosnia. There was no reason for anyone to have had a high opinion of Hillary then.
No one bought the co-presidency garbage.
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/12/2008 2:08:21 AM | ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You beat me to it, Man!
Not only did no one buy it; but, when the relevant White House records were finally released, detailing Hillary's exploits during Bill's presidency, it became clear that while Bill was doing "presidential" tasks, Hillary was indeed doing exactly what the skeptics surmised: standard "First Lady" tasks. She no more served a co-presidency than did Barbara Bush.

Faith you may not agree with what I post or my opinions but at least I am Honest.....there really is little difference between Hillary and Obama so people leaving Hillary and going to Obama have reasons other than the issues to make that change whatever they may be...

| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/12/2008 5:57:21 AM |
She.....cannot.....win......now all together..... She could and proably would probably defeat McCain if she were nominated by her party. The people who speak out and vent against Hillary are for sure adamant about how she causes them displeasure, but that's not really what the average Joe or Jill Lunchpail thinks. She's got good support among the silent majority. Remember her husband was winning some of those red states.
Can someone show a swing state that he would carry? Obama MIGHT win Virginia. There are lots of black voters and DC area intellectuals in VA.

All I hear is how easy this going to be...

Let me get this straight Bob.
You are an intelligent man, and I have a great respect for your abilities from reading your thoughts.
Here's the way I see it, and tell me where I am wrong.
Obama enters this race a relative unknown. He faces a national figure, and goes head to head with her and wins more delegated than she does - fairly.
He wins more of the popular vote - fairly.
He sticks to the rules that all parties agreed to in the four state pledge, and honors it.
And at the end of the road, after accomplishing all that, he emerges the victor. He does that through some hard work, and a long tough fight.
And then, as he's about to take his seat as victor ?
He has to get up, give up his seat, and go to the back ?
Sorry.
He did what he was supposed to do, and Hillary didn't.
To accept this would be to let down the untold numbers of people that supported him all this way. It would make a mockery of the election process.
And it would be morally wrong.
If America can't accept Obama as President, then that's not Obama's problem. It's America's . Maybe it deserves four more years of what it's faced for the last eight.
Maybe it hasn't learned yet, and maybe it needs more time to reflect on it.

If America can't accept Obama as President, then that's not Obama's problem. It's America's . Maybe it deserves four more years of what it's faced for the last eight. Or maybe the problem is that Americans aren't ready to give into pressure from radical Liberal Canadians....
|
| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/12/2008 6:25:38 AM | Thanks for the compliment, it's not a crime to be a radical Liberal Canadian here.
Now, instead of trying to change the subject - go ahead and show me how he's soft on crime - let's discuss this important topic that he seems to be so weak in.
That's what these forums are for, right ?
So why is he weak ? | |

It just seems to me that if she had something truly devastating, she'd have said what it is by now to get him out, get her ahead, and let the people she wants to vote for her have a 'decent' candidate to vote for. It's propaganda.
I found this article after looking up references to the Rezko trial:
For Obama, Advice Straight Up Valerie Jarrett Is Essential Member of Inner Set By DOUGLAS BELKIN May 12, 2008; Page A5 http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121055336572783989.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
It's about one of Obama's closest advisers Valerie Jarrett. Jarrett is a family friend to the Obama's. Here is a photo of Jarrett:

taken from this page: http://www.newyorksocialdiary.com/node/2568
Jarrett is the one on the left. An attractive woman for men in my age range and Obama's. The mommie on the right ain't bad either.
Jarrett is close friends with Michelle Obama. So I don't think this is something Obama would do. Bill Clinton would, but not Obama.

| Why is Hillary Losing? Posted: 5/12/2008 8:29:28 AM | Nobody has mentioned Virginia, a state that Obama won. The people I know in Virginia strongly support Obama (and none of them are Black by the way!), Virginia will turn blue this year. Obama is also very popular in many of the Western states. I believe that Obama will outperform McCain in the debates--it will be hilarious to watch McCain lose his cool under pressure while Obama is as cool as a cucumber !!
Obama has shown grace under pressure, and is definitely the man for the job!

Iraq Health care Economy Environment Stem Cell research Yes these are issues, are these the reasons most Blacks are voting for Obama, Probably not.
Wrong again. Those issues affect every voter in the country, so ALL voters consider them. The reason Hillary lost some important segments of the base (support that she had 6 months ago) is because she didn't address those issues well enough.
"The meaning of your communication is the response you get." The response of a lot of Hillary supporters was to go to the Obama camp.
