| Is John Mccain to old to be president. Posted: 4/7/2008 5:19:43 PM | and actually, I don't disagree with a lot of this the more I think about it.
1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.
what civil rights laws does he oppose? I have no problem with him voting against a national holiday. who cares. how many national holidays do we have nowadays? it's just another excuse for the government to take a day off. we have presidents day. and we used to have columbus day. where is your problem with this?
4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."
what' s wrong with this? let each state decide just like it should be for gay marriage and such.
5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.
do you mean he is the worst senator in the senate? I disagree with this bill as well. the people who got the benefit of free health care for their children make a lot of money.
this is getting boring. your points are horrible.

Of course Obama's college age fans think McCain is too old, but I wonder if his fellow senior citizens will think he is. And they're the ones that actually vote.

Video: In 2000, McCain hinted he'd be too old in 2008
http://www.minnesotamonitor.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=4084
Lehrer: Finally, for the record, you have not lost your desire to be President of the United States, have you?
McCain: Certainly it's been put in deep cold storage.
Lehrer: You haven't lost it?
McCain: Well, in 2004, I expect to be campaigning for the reelection of President George W. Bush, and by 2008, I think I might be ready to go down to the old soldiers home and await the cavalry charge there.

You haven't been exposed to McCain's sense of humor prior? If you had, you'd know how he meant the context.

I'd be worried more about the fact that he's nuttier than a squirrel turd
That is funny! I think he is a war mongering whack job, myself. This guy is no maverick. He is now in bed with the guys who screwed him (and not in a good way) in 2000. They have made him promises and in exchange he has been toeing the party line. After the walk in Bagdad with the troops and hellicopters claiming it was safe to go shopping there his credibility is completely gone.

within a year my dad went from functional to a lunatic because of Alzheimer's....
can people really vote for a guy who is in his twilight years?
