| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/27/2008 9:38:05 AM | making the playoffs and thats it?..
Making it to the playoffs would be a big jump for New York Jets, but of course winning a Superbowl is the goal for all teams.
How many times does he have to prove himself?
Until I see Favre win some games this year with the Jets....And if he can compete with teams like the Patriots and Indy.

but of course winning a Superbowl is the goal for all teams
Teams like Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco, Miami, Buffalo, Jets, Tennessee just trying to win a few games. Winning a Super Bowl asking way too much.

| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 7/19/2009 6:04:41 PM | | I am so sure broncsbuff is so happy to hear more on Brett and his possible coming back out of retirement again and play with Minnesota. I am sure he is speechless. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 7/19/2009 6:17:25 PM | cmon JAC...
Dont make me go on another Brett "I need all the attention on me" Favre rant...
Look what he did for the Jets last year... I mean, they won the superbowl right?...

| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 7/19/2009 10:41:12 PM | Favre might be a viking this season
though I hope he stays retired, only because I dont he will quit untill his arm falls off
just think, brett, in his 50s throwing footballs in the NFL training camp...... it is just sad
he is still a great player, and before that tailend of the season, he did well and he did make the jets ALOT better, but buddy brett, ur done man, hang em up :)

| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 7/19/2009 11:40:58 PM | | I like Favre, and think he should play. If he is that interested in furthering his career then maybe he should come in as a backup. He's football smart, a great leader, and as a good seasoned backup QB he is perfect. It might not be the role he wants, but there might be several good years of football for him that way. And you never know, look what Kurt Warner has done during his career. Sitting on the bench a while makes some people better. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 7/20/2009 12:12:26 AM | I agree with that, but I do hope he gives his wife a break and retires, I mean at sometime you need to pick family over football
no question this man is a sure fire HOF and one of the BEST ever.
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 8:34:23 AM | | Well, The Diva has decided to finally sign with the Vikings. Freaking Primadonna. Have fun with him. He brings more drama to a football team than a Hillary Duff, Brittney Spears, Lindsey Lohan Slumber Party. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 8:44:56 AM | Does anybody want to argue with me now that there is really no difference between Terrel Owens and Brett Favre?...
they are both media whores who need all the attention all the time.
The only difference is that Terrel speaks his mind about it, Favre hides it well....
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 10:36:34 AM | Brett Favre is spoiled little sh!t!!! He avoided all workouts and strenuous training camp. Minnesota already knew they were going to sign....They already gave playbook, so it was a done deal months ago, but kept under wraps. I hope he lays an egg and falls on his face....I'm tired of Brett.
I hope the Packers rips him apart.
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 11:14:32 AM | | Like him or not, the Vikings are a going to be a better team with him. They have a strong D and probably the best running back in the league. That division just got more interesting. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 11:26:55 AM |
Vikings are a going to be a better team with him.
I really dont think they are any better or any worse for that matter. I think they were gonna win the division with or without the diva.
You have to ask yourself, by adding favre, are they better than some of the best teams in the nfc...
Giants?....no Panthers?...no I dont even think they are better than the cards or falcons for that matter....
Favre is so hung up on sticking it to the packers...
Favre will win you a couple games, and will lose you a few games, its a wash at this point...
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 11:42:27 AM | | Adrian Peterson will have a higher rushing average especially if Favre hands the ball off to him. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 11:47:37 AM | of course mgm...
adrian peterson is a very good running back, but with favre on the team he becomes unstoppable...
| |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 11:53:35 AM | of course mgm...

Favre knows how to step towards peterson and hand the ball perfectly right into his arms thats an additional five yards. Just wait until he drops back into the pocket. Vikes are going to the Super Bowl.

| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 12:43:27 PM | really dont think they are any better or any worse for that matter. I think they were gonna win the division with or without the diva.
u have to b kidding me right ? of course they are a better team. if u had a team who would you rather have at qb, farve or jackson, its farve!!! look it gets older hearing about it every 2 seconds, but its networks like espn that beat it to death. as far as farve is a diva, i dont know about that, the guy is one of the best ever, he never misses a game ever, thats saying alot at the postion. again i know it gets old hearing about it, but what else is espn going to fill there time with? just keep in mind that when vick went down espn spent all day/night covering it, most where saying he is a shit head, now they spend all day/night covering his return, saying he deserves a second chance right?
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 3:00:51 PM | I wish Favre would go away. I'm sooo tired of hearing about him. It's unreal. I don't think anybody is getting past The Giants in The NFC.
I'm not a fan but they have a great defense.
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 3:52:23 PM | | The Packers are going to be really good this year if they can get that punk #1 draft pick signed because their defense needs to improve and should if they sign the rookies on D that they drafted. This year Aaron Rodgers is going to have a breakout year. He's a great QB on the rise. As for BF? I'm not sure he can be the guy to get this team running but they sure do have some talent and ONLY really need a productive QB so we'll see. He throws too many damn int's!!!! | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 3:53:31 PM | Favre holds another record for changing his mind. He's unretired and back on the practice field Effective until he retires again. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 4:33:33 PM | | Farve changes his mind more than Madonna changes partners. The Jets gave up picks to get him and he turned around and quit on them. The Packers were villified due to his Diva antics. The poster that referred to him as The Diva had it right. Farve is no different from T.O., just more widely accepted, alot less villified and less straight forward. | |
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 5:16:10 PM | Yeah diva smiva. Call him what you will...He's still better than what the Vikings had going for them. He knows the game as good as anyone in the league and knows how to motivate an offense.
With that said, I'll bet a dime to a dollar that someone on the GB defense takes his ass out for good as a courtesy to Aaron Rogers. I also think GB did the right thing by getting rid of Favre to let Rogers have his turn. I had Rogers and Favre on my fantasy team last year and there was only one or two weeks where Favre out performed Rogers.
|
| Brett Favre to Retire Posted: 8/18/2009 5:36:59 PM | | I told everyone last year that Rodgers was a million times better than Favre CURRENTLY and no one listened to me until halfway through the season. Rodgers is a great QB and will only get better. Favre is washed up and is only getting worse. If the vikes wanted a great qb of the future then they should have traded for Chad Henne. That dude is gonna be a star once he starts. | |
