I would like to know what those "crimes against our Constitution" are. That statement was meant to be a joke ... right?
If the President and Vice President have committed "high crimes and misdemeanors" as the Constitution requires, it is the responsibility of the House of Representatives to impeach them and the Senate to try them--not some city council in Vermont. It is a meaningless symbolic gesture. I disagree.
I think it displays what some really want. It takes guts to do that ... especially given that "Dubya" could have them all put away for it ... and he wouldn't have to have a real reason for putting them away. Not only that, he wouldn't have to give them their constitutional rights ... because he took them all away. | |

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/9/2008 9:33:44 AM | ---But you forgot one thing, Jews weren't the only ones who died.---
And that is exactly why they speak up. They of all people know that they were never the only ones, the media plays that up. There was just more of THEM.
I won't use elections, but you have had two adminastrations that has done everything possible to create a senario of total fear. If you can't see that, well, where have you been. Even in this chat room I still here clowns talking about takening out terrorist to protect America. I think by now we should understand that the war on terrorism is bogus, isn't that what the English Man said, when he reported that the intelligence would be doctored to fit the bill. How can you ignore that. You might not believe it off the bat, but you can't ignore it. Because its true, and you know it. The whole situation is a set up from the beginning.
PA/Constitution---PA overrides at least 14 constitutional rights Enemy Cabatant--any one who disagrees with the government. Probable Cause--gone Illegally taping privacy
The list can go on because it infringes on the rights of people. The problem is that most people will be unaffected by these changes, but the few who do are the new Jews. Face it, you have been taught to hate the terrorist and never met one. Someone created a new enemy. You have always had enemies, created for you since WW 2. You got Blackwater in Iraq operating outside military law. You got a detention center off shore in many places to escape the law of the land, but support by a president (Christian) and needs not defend the rights offered by your constitution. He represents the constitution, now you know where its at. He vetos the representatives of the people. You got a vice pres. who created and adviser group on energy and its all CEOs and not people who represent the voters but big business. Blank check for Haliburton. A president that lines the coffers of the pharmaceutical cartels, the Axis of Oil, the war machine and armaments. Crushes education for the poor, threatens SS and pensions. Lies about a war etc etc etc.
Lets face it the guy was a mistake, Impeachment is too good for them. Imagine being a soldier in Iraq or Afganistan with a target on you back, always. Before you put people in that position, shouldn't you be accountable for your actions and its results, I am, you are, if not the law gets you.
---France started it, we assisted, they bailed and we got hung.---
France lost and you stepped in, no one asked you to do this. Kennedy wanted out, he got shot. I was around then too. You hung yourself, the Asian sub continent is full of resources, you were used. By the same people you got today. | |

I agree with the poster who said the U.S. is not just globetrotting do-gooders, however, because really, this time in Iraq, no one asked us to help. We are over there for money, make no mistake. | |

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/9/2008 7:09:39 PM | | I would love to see Bushboy sent to jail for the rest of its life for war crimes. Kudos to the communities in Vermont that declared that Bush would be arrested if it ever came into town. It should have never been allowed to be president in the first place because it went AWOL from the National Guard. | |

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/9/2008 7:22:20 PM | I am not foolish, I know the US is selfserving, but she has done good.
I don't expect to be charmed but I am used to dealing with civil adults who can discuss, disagree and refrain from name calling. | |

My dear... you are obviously far too sensitive to get involved in any kind of debate if you take it personal.
I don't recall calling you a fool. Re-read my post dear woman.
Perhaps there are less talkative dating sites that may interest you?

However, returning to the topic of the Bush Administration there have simply been too many atrocities committed. Simply do a superficial internet research. Don't take my word for it.
Many Americans may have, in our silence and unwillingness to express our discontent (I totally agree with you on this point), become accomplices to inefficient government. Let's not further become accomplices to the death of many innocent people, to the theft of the heritage of humanity in the massive art theft of the Baghdad Museum and the wanton destruction of archeological sites of ancient Mesopotamia by not wanting to see the evidence presented to us from many sources, not just by a political party.
We have exponentially lost the right to keep our lives private, and many of us did not speak up even when we saw the effects of globe warming, gas prices skyrocketing and recession.
My only regret is why did some of us Americans wait this long to agree that we have been lied to continuously by some members of this administration through two presidential periods.

It is not a matter of me
taking it personally or being sensitive even though things were directed at me. The point being what you consider valid points in your argument are lost when you resort to name calling and YELLING because that is all people hear or see.
I'll leave the thread to you. | |

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/10/2008 10:46:28 PM | The world needs to see Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, and the rest of the usual suspects being marched into the world court at The Haag hands cuffed behind their backs, orange jumpsuits, and unshaven.
If this group isn't responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity, then we might as well through out the damn laws because they are worthless.

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/10/2008 11:24:46 PM | | The world has been watching the USA "drive drunk" for too many years . President Bush and administration are war criminals in the world view, and should be considered treasonists at home for the unjust war that has brought death and destruction to many innocents . With out weapons of mass destruction a clear link to Al-Quida ,Iraqi civilians have been slain they did not vote or support their dictator Hussien in fact the US supported this moron with millions of dollar in weapons in the past basically supporting him and helped entrench his power. US foreign policy supported Osama and friends when they fought the Russians in Afghanistan and now the world is supposed to clean up messes and atrocities that are largely created by its own foreign policy.Wake up America your democracy is disintigrating before your eyes , your country is not as free as you think it is, your personal rights and freedoms are being reduced in the name of fear , your media is corporate dominated and biased doesn't ask tough questions, and serves as propoganda.Democracy is born from within a country, as it evolved in your country it did was not instilled by another country. For the Us to have an obligation to spread democracy through warfare and bullying foreign policies is anything but democratic... | |

really though, the RCMP has turned over people to the US for rendition into other countries where they were tortured. There are now more agreements for law enforcement than ever before. I might be wrong about this one but I believe the Canadian goverment agreed not to let war resistors stay in Canada but cooperated with turing them over to the US.
Not to mention the general demise of many programs that benifitted the people. Harper seems to be one of the good old boys as well.....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Harper
ABC News reported that Harper's Chief of Staff, Ian Brodie was responsible for the details reaching the hands of the media.[3] Harper has denied that Brodie was responsible for the leak, and says his government is trying to find the source. The Opposition, as well as Democratic strategist Bob Shrum[4], has criticized the Government on the issue, saying they are trying to help the Republicans, and could hurt relations with the United States if Obama ever were to become President.[5] | |

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/11/2008 1:17:15 AM | | Harper definately is an old boy neocon .We need to get rid of him as Bush is leaving so we can have a chance of some slightly saner people calling the shots and better relations... | |

Much of the Bush administration's historical legacy will depend on the truth about what happened that day. Hopefully the ballot initiative in New York state will produce a real investigation. | |

| Screw impeachment, how about some jail time? Posted: 3/21/2008 3:55:34 PM | The U S government is run by the Military, and the military production companies plain and simple...if you eliminate war you take away close to half their production GDP..sad state of affairs, so they have to have a war or a "boogy man" to scare the people into the ridiculous war m ongering mindset....Anyway as for Vietnam, the US had no excuse for attacking that little country like they did...None Zero....the French got their asses kicked out in 1954 and their Michelin rubber company..good they were exploiting those people, and voila...the US has to stick it's nose in there.....President Kennedy wanted to bring all the US participants back home from Vietnam...but the military establishment were not pleased with that decision...and after President Kennedy's assassination it didn't take Johnson and the military to create a false incident to try and justify full out war on that poor little country..atrocities yes that is one of the major in history.... | |
