LB72..
Glad you had a great time on your trip...how was CEJ'S last night..

I know what you mean about being back home...was gone for 12 days on a trip to ILL. and Wisconsin..while the weather was low 70's and windy..it was nice to see the MT'S of Tn as I came down I-75 from K.Y. to Tn, didn't like the back-up on Jellico MT. was a wreck at the bottom of the MT, at least a 13 mile back-up, I got off at the Oneida exit, took I-27 home, it seems every-time it rains someone crashes at the bottom, by Lake City, Jacksboro exit. Hope nobody was hurt bad.
Anyways it's great to be back in Tn,. even if it's hitting 90 plus now at times.
There having a camp-out at Carter's Lake in Ga., July 25-27, a few people I met on here are going..Just thought I'll tell you, am leaving Friday afternoon, all either or off Friday, or vacation or retired.
Hope you and my other friends that post are fine..

Hope all are fine and enjoying the summer, hope we don't have alot of 100 degree's day this August like last, believe 31 straight..that's a little to HOT for me..

Good luck on your trip to GA, but don't think I will be able to make it since I have to be back at work that weekend. Oh well, no biggie, just patiently wait on the next event.

I ended up not getting to go to CEJ's either of the nights I was thinking about as I was finally going out on a date!!! It was a very casual one with camping out at their family cabin and just sitting and talking until 3 am Saturday morning with a little bit of mixed in. Was a great meeting and he called me later in the day Saturday to ask me to go swimming. Another great meeting took place and ended by talking until almost 2 am Sunday morning. Who knows.........I may be onto something here, but if not, then so be it. I will have made another great friend who I know I can talk to about anything.

I hope that everyone had a great weekend and took advantage of the beautiful weather.

OTD, will have to let us know about the investigation and how it went. Take care everyone and stay safe!

Went to Rutledge to see some family, looking to get up to Cades Cove before heading back to middle TN, love driving, hate stopping to feed the beast though.

Ain't it the truth/ When I bought my car in 2002, it took $15 to fill it, now close to $50. My wages sure have not gone up that quickly.

Understand about car,,,me, it takes $55.00 now to fill, thought I wasn't doing to bad at 28 miles to gallon, maybe have to go back to 2 wheels, but that rain and cold weather just to cold to ride all year..
The Lady from Kingsport area, welcome, naww your at the right place, just us few it seems, posting about general things in Tn to do and saying welcome to out little part of the world..

C.W.

p.s. If going to Cades Cove, plan on going early and it's about a 2-3 hour loop if you stop and look at things there... It's tourist time and alot of traffic, over the weekend more, and threw Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.. Enjoy the trip is worth it, if never been, had been there a few times. Slow, speed limit is 35 miles ..

Lets see, mine cost over $100 if I let it too close to empty, 3/4 is as far down as that needle is allowed to fall, E-85 is $.30 cheaper than 87 octane too, don't work in everything though. I need to get my bicycle out, stores are close enough, and the greenway could turn into the new path for shopping for many families.
Know all about the loop, spent many trips through, best were in my ole Scout II with the top off, CJ5 ran a near second. I get dirty looks, I'm there to enjoy it, I don't reach 35 MPH in the loop, Parsons Branch Road is terrific too, puts you on the dragons back though. A CJ, oversize tires, doors off and rain make for a cold wet ride home, those curves had rooster tails of water from the tires soaking us.

Welcome,

Just wanted to say went to a camp-out at Carter's Lake in Ga over the weekend..
Was held by POF'S from there, their was about 4 others from Tn, there, about 44 people came, 102 signed up, so it's still holding 40-50% of people who sign up will come..The others who know, one person this is the 3rd time he signed up, and you guess it, he didn't show..
I would like to have more events here, why can't we get just as much as Ga. if not more.
Also have checked other treads and some states like Michigan have a gathering 's somewhere almost every weekend,

C.W.

P.S. No I'm not leaving Tn., just would like to see more gatherings that's all.

Awww... Love in bloom! How sweet it is!!

Congratulations OTD! And a fish no less..
Will wonders never cease??

Bein' from Georgia myself at one time, I can attest to the fact that Georgia has some purty darn good catches, depending on the fishin' hole we choose down there.

Fact. I ended up running off into the sunset with one of 'em for a time..

Just have to be willing to figure out how to throw the net a little wider--He found me and actually through another site. He knows I do the forums and he does not mind. But a fish is a fish just the same and I think this one might just be a keeper.

ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz*huh*

Is it ok if a 'Newbie' sleeps here in TN? :)

Course, I'm not really a newbie to TN. I was born here. Just returned after being away for 16 years. (Married a military guy and ya know how that is). Anyways divorced (yay!) and returned home to Clarksville.

Nothing seems to be happening in Clarksville as far as the singles/divorced scene.

Sorry for kidnapping your post but I can't figure out how to post any other way. I kept looking for a button that said 'Hey you, hit this to post an intro' in the introduction forum.'
Well, maybe because it's 6 am and I didn't see it...

Welcome aboard Talkin2patty and Moonlynx!!

Just jump right in and make yourself at home..
The water's fine..

That's the ones alright Maples.. Just like what blows down Main Street from time to time, here in the forums.. Lb72 sometimes runs out and grabs 'em as they bounce by, headed for the square.. Or she sends one of us instead.

Thanks for the welcome.

It really feels good to know I can post whenever I want. Sometimes I wonder where this gift of gab comes from that seems to flow so easily from my fingers.

Well, time to sit back, grab a Coke and get to know peoples.

Welcome to Tennessee (again) to you Moonlynx. Glad to have you back here in our neck of the woods, even though I wish the situation could have been a lot better on your way of returning.

I can't stay long, just found out I have some lost tumbleweeds causing a major traffic jam at the town square, but wanted to say hello to everyone and hope that everyone is doing well. Take care all and stay safe!!!

Hi Everybody...

Anybody going on the I-127 Flea Market thru Tennessee, it starts in Ohio and goes to Al. all the way thru K.Y. and Tn. down I-127.
It's starts today and ends Sunday.
If anybody goes, let me know if you find any neat things.
Bring plenty of water, will be HOT, and be prepare for slow traffic, as people pull in and out and LOOK at the sides of road to park, as they drive!
I like summer but not a fan of 100 plus heat index, please back to the 80"s!

Hello Tennessee,
I haven't been here in a while. I am working 2 jobs now (just until the house sells) so I don't have a lot of "forum time" (DANG IT!).

I see we have some new and transplanted faces here. Welcome to this great state.

I am going to check out the meet and greet at Mont Eagle. I hope I can make it.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi and if anybody is interested in moving to East TN let me know. I have a nice house on the market!

Geeze! We Central Tennesseans miss out on so much of the good stuff!

Life just isn't fair sometimes..

-Suth'nBoy
