Posted: 3/11/2008 2:25:29 PM | Well here's another no brainer Eli is certainly not an elite QB in the NFL....Winning SB and being a good QB is two different things. Sure he won a SB, but he didn't play very well until the end. I'll admit he scored the winning TD and won, I'm not stupid I saw the game, but it doesn't make him good. His stats are horrible, which makes him overrated.
I already told you, if I had to compare Eli to any other QB he would be a Dilfer because he is certainly not Payton. Check their stats they are completely same and I'm not kidding about my statement because its true. Eli wins one SB and you think he's the best in the league? Whatever....Although there's nothing wrong with routing for your teams QB even when he is OVERRATED!!!!  | |

I have never said he was a Great QB and I have not seen any one say that he is even close or even on the top ten list. I think you have major issues being the Pats lost to him and the Giants. Even Kebro woke up from the dead and had to get his 2 cents in on how much he is hurting when he hears the name Eli. Over rated means something that is worth less then what its actually worth. Oh and just what its worth. Eli played great in his last 5 games. Better than anyone ever expected.

But, he has also come up very small in many playoff games...making terrible desperation throws downfield that most disciplined, great QBs would never make. I admire that he played aggressively, but he often crossed the line of being careless. | |

As for most overrated, I'd have to say Aikman
Most under-rated, Warren Moon or Jim Kelly
Stupid trivia: The guy that played Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) was drafted by (or tried out can't remember) for the Steelers in the late 60's. If we would have kept him, he'd have some rings, but...he may have never been in the best tv show of all time!!! | |

Posted: 3/13/2008 7:10:54 AM | Eli Manning is by far the most over rated QB. The fact that he actually won a super bowl is ridiculous. I gaurantee he will NEVER even get into another super bowl for the remainder of his career. In fact, we prob wont even win another post season game.
Payton is a funny guy, I love his commercials. He is a good QB but isnt so great under pressure. I think he is over rated too.
You cant call Tom Brady over rated. He holds a crap ton of records and has 3 super bowl rings. He will go down in history right next to Montana as one of the best of all time, that I gaurantee.
The only two QB's who will really be remembered this generation will be Payton and Brady. The rest are all average or slightly better, but not stellar.
Marino is a bit over rated but the guys a legend, show respect.
Of course these are all my opinions. | |

Hard to get respect I see, when you play great in the Playoffs win the damn Superbowl and you get answers like this above. Forget how he got there. He got the Job done. He beat the undefeated Pats and the number one and two seed teams in the NFC. No fluke here. And being he made the Playoffs 3 years in a row and still young. You have not heard the last of Eli.
