| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 3/26/2008 9:02:38 AM | | I disagree with Ben being overrated even though I am not a big fan of Ben. I believe his stats show for it and a Super Bowl win does too. I have a feeling we will see the Steelers in the SB in the near future BEFORE ELI. He only had one bad year and it was really bad, but overall to consider him to be overrated I don't think so. | |

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 3/26/2008 10:09:27 AM | | Being durable does not make you great, That is probably the best quality of Farve. Which would make him the cal ripken of football. Farve's teams had some damn good players since that superbowl run in the mid 90's. Its a farce to say he didnt have players. Green Bay usually succeeds in putting a good line in front of farve more often than not. The only thing Farve has never had is a top 3 kind of receiver. If you want to talk about a QB not having any talent around him talk about Dan Marino. He truely was robbed of not having any talent around him. | |

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 3/30/2008 4:04:08 PM | | If anything Marino is underrated. No team relied on its quarterback to carry the team more than the fins with Marino. Name any top 20 QB that had less talent to work with. | |

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 3/31/2008 2:54:07 AM | Most overrated quarterback? Joe Theisman. He got lucky and won one Super Bowl (the one big play he contributed was flayling his arms in front of a Dolphin linebacker who was just about to make an interception in the Redskin end zone). Then he had his leg fractured by Lawrence Taylor on national TV (the sympathy factor), gaining him fame as the play was replayed over and over again. And now he's the worst broadcaster on television, any network.
Gotta defend my man Dan Marino. Anyone who watched him play in that magical second season, throwing at will to the "Marx" brothers, Marc 'Super' Duper, and Marc Clayton, will never forget it. Remember, this was before the rules had been softened to favor the secondary. Who knows how many touchdowns he might have thrown in a season with todays rules).
I had the good fortune to see him play back in 1997. Had a seat that was nearly ground level. The Dolphins were driving into my endzone, and I had a geat view of him. What absolutely astonished me was the speed of his thrown ball. It had the strength of a cannon ball, and the accuracy of a laser. I'll be an old man and I'll still be singing his praises.

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 3/31/2008 9:20:43 PM | I would put Favre in the top 20 QB's,maybe top 15,but not in the top 10.How many dumb plays can a guy make without being blamed. He put up great regular season numbers, and that's it.He didn't deserve the MVP in 95,as Emmitt Smith (25 TD's-a record at the time) and Jerry Rice (receiving yards record) were far more deserving.Barry Sanders had a much better year in 1997 with his 2000 yard season.
Bradshaw has 3 more career TD's than INT's.

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 4/16/2008 7:29:37 PM | | Oh please... Marino was NEVER given a decent running game. Yeah, you can probably mention Brady's 2007 - 2008 year about the running game, but since he couldn't throw the deep ball they arranged the offense around him so he could throw MANY dump-offs to slots and running backs. Which is just an extended running game. Marino is DEFINITELY in the top 5 if not the top 3. Every team knew he was gonna pass and couldn't stop the precision, power, or that quick release. So, please do not mention Championships. They are not relevant. If you think that they are... where would you rate Barry Sanders as a running back? Hmmm? | |

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 4/16/2008 7:40:21 PM | | Jim "Machine Gun" Kelly??? Do you people know anything about football? Kelly took his team to four (4), count them, four consecutive superbowls. Nevermind if he didn't win a single one. It's damed hard to go to one superbowl, let alone four consecutive... WAKE UP!! Please stick to Chutes and Ladders, people! | |

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 4/16/2008 7:40:46 PM | This is a tough question. Highly rated QB's usually get that consideration with merit, and if you stink then you play for the Bears.
I would probably vote Donovan McNabb.
And yes, Jim Kelly was wicked good. The Bills just ran into the team with momentum in the Super Bowl. I could have won tons on the Giants this year because they had both the momentum and a front four that could get pressure on Brady without the blitz letting the LB's and Safeties play in coverage and take away the underneath. The helmet catch didn't hurt either. But momentum wins championships.

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 5/16/2008 5:18:26 PM | In my opinion it would be Troy Acheman ( I know that isnt spelled right) I hate Dallas, so I guess I just never gave him a real chance but he was just too****, in the late 80's and early 90's Dallas just was not my cup of beer. They seemed just to be a dirty team and with TO on there now, I think my opinion has been validated. lol | |

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 5/17/2008 11:00:34 PM | | Rob Johnson, biggiest QB flop in NFL history as far as i'm concerned. He was so overrated from the get go. He had one good football game in jacksonville and when the Bills got him the following season people thought he was going to be the next Jim Kelly or better, but he turned out to be a total flop. Not to mention the Bills lost so much money on that guy. | |

This sounds like a Buffalo-specific overrating because I don't know anyone who ever thought he was going to be good.

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 5/19/2008 10:11:05 PM | Mike Vick might be the most overrated athlete of all time....Eric Lindross might give him a run for his money also....
I dont think favre is overrated, but over teh last 7 years he really hasnt done anything impressive....check his stats, they are not that great..three mvps really stand out, although barry sanders shouldnt have shared it in 98...that was complete BS in my opinion....

| Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time? Posted: 5/25/2008 10:32:15 AM | | Mike Vick ehhhh thats just people falling off the bandwagon after the dog case and after he had a down year, vick never had a top 20 reciever and the scheme was totally wrong for him, but even so look at that team without him and look at what they did with him. The team looked like it would become a superbowl contender but Mora and his staff were completely incompetent in finding him recieving weapons and maxing his talents. | |
