| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/10/2008 2:34:54 PM | Don,t belive in ghost or the supernatural.
We are put on the earth to live and died i think.
Funny you don,t see haunted homes on tv like a council house or something.
It,s always a pub or a castle dating back 500 years or so.
|
| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/10/2008 4:26:15 PM | | I used to have a book about ghosts and hauntings in Stockport. Some of the houses in that were council houses.Plus shops in the town centre.Along with the old halls.I guess there's always going to be scepitcal people, but not everyone can believe in the same thing. | |
|
| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/10/2008 6:03:08 PM | Yes i have experienced certain things all through my life that i just couldnt explain away. I am very critical when it comes to my own experiences. But as the old saying goes "Remove all doubt and what ever is left, no matter how bizarre must be the truth"
I don't believe we die and thats all there is to it kind of thing. I truly belive our soul continues on.
I used to tell my family and friends about things i had seen, felt and heard only to be ridiculed so now i keep it to myself.
Peace x | |

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/10/2008 6:47:30 PM | I dont think age of a place has anything to do with spiritual prescence. They are free to wander and take up residence more than we are able.
In my dreams i have met the same people every time for years and years and we have a good old chat. To me it feels very very real. I have never met these people in my 'normal' life and to be honest, thinking about it, i dont even know their names because it has never come up. I just know i know them and they know me. If that makes sense.
Peace x | |

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/11/2008 2:39:35 PM | | I was once stood at a cash machine in town and i glanced down to my left and saw a very old family freinds daughter, her boyfriend and grandad.By the time they caught up to where i was stood, arthur, the grandad had disapeared, into a shop i presumed. The dauhter said she was going to her grandads funeral that day and as i had just seen him i presumed her grandad from her fathers side, so offered my condolences etc. It was only around 20 mins later i remembered he had died over 10 yrs previously............When i got home a few hours later, there outside his house was the funeral car(he lived locally) this really shook me up, i couldnt tell my partner what was wrong for crying, hes really sceptical, but why would i make such a thing up, it really upset but moved me that i had seen him with his beloved grandaughter(who was actually pregnant at the time) | |

Try visit a graveyard after midnight? All you have to do is empty your mind and just let the ghost come to you.. (woo!)
Apparently you don't get many ghosts in graveyards, they just stick to places where they were killed or that were important to them in life.
Though I did read once that the first person buried in a graveyard comes back to haunt it as the 'graveyard guardian'. I haven't heard any ghost stories about them though...

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/11/2008 4:16:16 PM | I remember years & years ago, when we were in our teens. This was makes me laugh every time I think about it...
After a night out, some friends would leave the pub after last orders to go & sit up on the hill where they would carry on drinking & smoke their "substances".
Apparently one night they saw a "tree elemental" & one of them had to "go and round it up". Don't laugh. I've been told it was the ghost of a tree (!!)... (!!???) How we laughed....
The next week in the pub toilets someone had drawn on the bog door a picture of a guy with a fake tree costume on, with arms & legs sticking out, a pair of bulbous eyes & a speech cloud saying "woo!"
I mean - It wasn't a tramp, or an owl, or a dog... no it was a "tree elemental"...

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/28/2008 5:53:43 PM | yes im def a believer , i live in a house that has had strange goings on
my daughter saw a man in our garden , other strange things were happening so i called a medium in i already knew the previous tenant died in the house so i guessed it was this man my daughter saw i never told the medium of what my daughter saw but she told me the man my daughter saw was my dad and not the man we thought it was, although the spirit of the man was in my home along with the spirit of my dad and also that of a child

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/29/2008 6:44:12 AM | | The hostel where I work is haunted, as it was....a long time ago a children's home, and on my travels years ago with the Army, bore witness to many strange unexplainable things, so I have to keep an open mind | |

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/29/2008 6:45:05 AM | I do believe in this but i also have an deep held belief that if you generally live your life in a decent way that you won't attract the negative element.
Tomorrow will be the 13th anniversary of my dads death which really hit me hard. About 4 months after he died i had a really bad day where i could not stop thinking about him and had this overwhelming fear that he did not know how much i loved him and i could no longer tell him.
I finally cried myself to sleep and had the strangest dream. I dreamt i was dancing with my dad. He had me in his arms amd was waltzing me around the floor. As the music stopped he placed a hand either side of my face and tilted my head down and kissed me on the forehead and then smiled at me.
I woke up the next day feeling completely at peace and ready to face the world. I am convinced that was dads way of still looking after me.
I also had 6 numbers he gave me which i play on the lottery every week. About 2 years after he died the family were all facing personal hardships for a variety of different reasons. I looked at dad's picture and said "Come on Dad, I don't need millions, just a couple of hundred thousand so i can help Mum, Jeanette and Ian"
The following Wednesday i won £202,000 on the lottery using his numbers which i split between my Mum, brother and sister and myself. Again, i am convinced he was looking after us from afar.
Tomorrow i will go down to a bench we paid for at Woodside that has a plaque for him with my mum and take him some flowers and just let him know he is still a big part of my life. Love you dad.

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/29/2008 6:54:54 AM | I am aware there is more to this skin and bones, I have experienced a place (many times) between conciousness & sleep, I believe I have experienced this from a young child. Only as an adult I have managed to understand and partly control these moments. I have learned to induce 'out-of-body' experiences, the last one being confirmed recently by a friend.
It was the afternoon and I was overcome by a wave of tiredness, I decided to have a little kip...the next minute I find myself floating near the ceiling, I try to keep calm & focused and steer my body out of the door and up the stairs and across the landing, I saw my house-mate bending over and shaking something but couldn't make out what it was...(No!...It wasn't that!?). The next moment I bolt upright in bed wide awake (as usual).
Later that evening I told my friend about my experience and what time it had happened. He confirmed that at the time of my 'very short' nap he was in fact feeding his baby son & would have been shaking his bottle.
Freaky but true. | |

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 3/29/2008 7:37:48 AM | I have heard a lot of stories about OBE's including one from my mum so I am more inclined to believe in them and it is the one thing I go on that consciousness exists out side of death though I'm basing that on my own and others presumptions.
I have though once shared a very strange unexplained phenomenon but I could not put it into the ghost or UFO category but I also know it wasn't a figment of my imagination as someone who was standing next to me at the time witnessed it too and they were also unable to fathom what it was exactly. Anyway I'll try to explain it best I can. Me and a friend were standing in her back garden a couple of years back and it was late in the afternoon as it was approaching dusk, then what looked like a giant dark amoeba shaped thing appeared flying just above the houses in the distance in a perfectly straight line from the left of our view to the right till it disappeared from our site. It was large enough to make out and it did look like a weird amoeba/dark mass sort of thing, I say amoeba because was hazy but translucent in the center and its shape was that of an amoeba but it remained perfectly static and its movement was perfectly straight from right to left but unless you had seen it yourself, it sounds like it could of been a black bin liner, flock of birds or something like that but I urge everyone that it really wasn't! I have been looking for things on the net to try and explain if it was along the lines of something like ball lightning or to see if anybody else in the West Midlands area at the time had witnessed it also but I have found nothing...

You don't need to worry, there are no such things as ghosts only Angels. Nothing to be afraid of. If they come, they come to help. Sleep soundly they will watch over you.

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 4/11/2008 1:11:29 PM | i live near a haunted castle, supposedly by the white lady, who used to inhabit part of the castle grounds, as of many cavelier soldiers... as the castle is one of the last to stand up to the parlimentarian forces in the 1600s.. so yeah, i do believe in Ghosts and the supernatural... | |

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 4/11/2008 4:02:09 PM | Its all humbug - the human mind is the amazing thing - how it will trick and deceive. Just like all those optical illusions etc that are such fun but can't be taken seriously. We should be past believing in fairies & goblins & such like. | |
|
| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 4/11/2008 5:29:50 PM | Another one, how I could have forgotten this, I don't know. Until recently my Mum lived in the house that had been hers, her mum's and prior to that her Granny's. No other family had lived in it from new. Whan I was little, the place scared me to death and tbh, I never grew out of it. It was a bit of a bugger when staying there with my daughter, cos I couldn't really let her know that I was too scared to get up and go to the loo in the night without having all the lights on! Thankfully (!) she was too scared too so always used to wake me up to go with her in the night.
Anyway, the last night that J and I stayed there, before my mum moved, J woke me in the night to go for a wee. After we got back to bed, I couldn't settle, was lying there listening to all the goings on outside when suddenly all the coathangers in the wardrobe (empty cos mum had cleared them out) started rattling, as if someone had purposely se them off. It went on for ages. Told my mum in the morning which was when she finally admitted that there had always been goings on in that room and that where the wardrobe was now was where my great-Granny's bed had been when she died in it.
I always wonder how the new owners got on with it, I'm pretty sure there would have been a few unhappy family members when the house passed into new hands.

| Ghosts & The Supernatural Posted: 4/12/2008 3:05:25 AM | There are many types of spirits that wander or are trapped in homes and buildings, they are spirits trapped in Purgatory or visiting angels, usually guardians or relatives who been summoned by a medium. Sometimes spirits die too young to realise where they should be and torment us as punishment for their neglect (Poltergiest) loosely translated as Child Ghost, sometimes they can be lived with. My house has a gateway in which spirits travel all the time, its not annoying or scary..Open your mind, they will either pay you a fleeting visit or stay with you to protect you or ignore you. Sometimes they protect you when you dont even know it, someone pulls you backwards, the typical hand on the shoulder and no one is there, or you hear something that turns your head in the street, it makes you stop and a car screams past. Things like this occur everyday without most people realising it. Spirituality is based upon your openness and readiness to accept the Afterlife and all its secrets. Most people laugh and shrug it off as superstition and more often than not these people believe in nothing but themselves. There is a Hierarchy in Spiritualism, God being the ultimate good power, and the devil does exist in many forms and strengths and whos greatest weapon is convincing humanity that he doesnt exist. From God to Archangels to Saints and Angels etc and so forth, the same with the Satan, Devils, Daemons etc...these are all at the major end of the scale of the Spiritual Balance. If you was to draw a line through the Middle, you have the Meridian where you will find the most spirits, and usually 99 times out of 100 they are not the Scary campfire story beings that we are usually susceptible to being frightened of. To be able to link your conscious and your dreamstate and reach the Meridian is Mediumship, some people are open to it , but most are not. This Mediumship is only the tip of the iceberg in the development of the human brain, if we are to evolve, then this opens up many routes of the Mind and its Physicality that even Governments are now taking notice of. | |
