as for you firmbear, you should try not to be a doubting thomas all the time
as you're well aware, i hold most of my events downtown, within the same few blocks
not only that but i always have a large turnout
parking has never been a problem and i dont think it will be friday either
not only that, but the covent garden market is right there and that parking lot is huge enough to hold everyone plus a bunch of other people so i'm not concerned in the least | |

Posted: 6/15/2008 7:18:04 PM | I did a drive-by of the place today... Its a White Facade building on the left hand side of the street heading north from the Bus Station on York. It does NOT have a flashy exterior... just a sign above the building.
Parking is available at at York and Ridout and another lot in the middle of the block between Talbot and Richmond on one side and York and King on the other. You can enter that lot off of York or King St.
Of course underground parking is also available at the Market. | |

Understatement of the day.
It is definately understated - on the outside at least.
I do think everyone will be pleasantly surprised when they enter.
As for parking, please, its really not a concern.
This place is right by the JLC.
The way I look at it is this. If thousands of people go see concerts at the JLC, clearly the downtown area can hold plenty of parking space for everyone. I am expecting hundreds, not thousands of guests. | |

It would also be a pleasant surprise to see some suits there although I'm not expecting many.
As for me, I finally picked out my outfit
I think its got the right mix of sexiness and dressiness all mixed in
I dunno though, perhaps you guys can be the judge!
I just have to say though, I'm thick as a brick when it comes to knowing if a guys interested in me so I really hope if anyone is, they'll just come out and say so!
In the meantime, folks, please remember to wear nametags.
I know a lot of people don't like them but it does help me match people up after the event when people ask me stuff like... "whos that lady in picture 35" | |

Time to start charging all my rechargable batteries for my camera, pick out an outfit, etc etc.
Please if signing up, do so soon as I will be printing off the signup list early Friday afternoon. VIP's done after that won't be submitted. No worries though cause anyone can show up regardless of if you VIPed or not. VIPing only helps you bypass the line. It does not guarantee you a spot.
Also, in the spirit of fair play, I'm reminding everyone that if you want to get in, come early. Its appears like this is going to be a very popular party and I would not be surprised in the least if 500+ people show. I'll be blunt, this is the biggest signup I've seen for any of my events in a long time and reminds me of the one party we had well over 500 people. I think this place is gonna be packed with lots of singles. If we reach capacity, it will be first come first serve.
Anyway I'm excited as all can get out and I truly hope you all like the venue I'm bringing us to. I felt it was time for a bit of class and I hope you all enjoy this place as much as I do.
