Posted: 4/3/2008 11:56:56 AM | Okay, as a girl who finds hairy backs pretty unattractive, I still wouldn't recommend waxing. It's painful, its expensive, you gotta do it often and for what?
Wherever humans have hair, our sweat is more oily because there are pharamones in it. Biologically, the idea is that if you find someone who's smell you like, their genetic make-up is most different from yours so that any offspring don't have genetic mutations. Practically speaking: keep the hair, attract a mate and have healthy babies that don't have 3 arms.
It could always be worse: I dated a guy who had almost no body hair... I ran my hands down his smooth back only to discover an ass covered in fur lol. Now THAT is weird... | |

Guess I've sussed out the type of woman who doesn't mind hairyness and select accordingly. As hair is natural and occurs on both sexes, where do you draw the line. I think it's something you should do if it makes you feel better about the way you look, but not because some girl said something. I know some guys on the swim team who had it done in the off season and they said it didn't hurt nearly as bad as waxing and about six sessions in were done with it completely. Of course, they are now quite hairless (permanently), so it's really not a reversable decision, unlike waxing!
That way you don't have to wax it (painfully) every month!

I am not a fan of to much hair anywhere other then the top of your head....... I am much more inclined to enjoy trimmed everywhere.......especially that "beaver"...... 
OT.......I am happy that my genetics do not allow for a hairy back, since it would get in the way of those "tats".......

I assume most guys have some hair on their backs. Do the guys who don't qualify for the hairy back badge shave it, or has it just not grown out yet?
If somebody likes me better without the hair, I wouldn't mind if they assisted me in achieving their enjoyment, but I wouldn't do it for me.
Gals, Shaving your back is nothing like shaving your legs/pits. It's not like I can jump in the shower, lather up, and take it off. My arms don't bend that far back.
Waxing, doesn't that seem a bit superficial. | |

I personally prefer a hairless upper/middle body on a man. It turns me on to feel skin, smoooooth.
I don't like laying my head on his chest and having hairs go up my nose... lol
And if I'm stroking his back, I wanna feel skin, not hair.
This is just about the person in question.... and no one's right or wrong. If the OP were truly
fine and dandy with his hairy self, he wouldn't have felt embarrassment when the woman in
question discovered he was a fur-baby..... he would have been secure enough to shrug it off.
But alas, he wasn't and isn't and started a thread about it claiming his embarrassment.
The only one needing to get OK with this is the guy that started the conversation. The rest
of us are fine stating what we like and what doesn't work for us.

Posted: 5/11/2008 7:50:13 AM | I don't know why I keep coming back to this thread... I'm a fairly hairy guy... not saskquatch, but I have a pretty healthy growth all over my body (head to toes) so this topic is of great interest to me.
I try to keep the hair off my back as much as possible, but it is a very hard thing to do if you don't have someone to help, or you don't want to pay $100 a month for waxing..
I realize that many women think that hairy bodies are a turn-off... so I try to keep everything under-control, but I often question why I do it.
Shouldn't someone like me for who I am? What I look like? If she isn't attracted to how I was made, is she really the right person for me? Whats next? She doesn't like my nose, so I should have surgery?
Hairlessness is the current fad, and I wouldn't be suprised if 10 years from now, hairy is back...
I guess I'll have to wait. | |

^^^^^^^^^^^ Hmmm! The last time I checked....the back has a larger surface area than a leg.....and it will grow back very itchy..
Easy to scratch a leg.....try scratching your own back, especially where your hands can't reach.
Unfortunately, some guys backs are hairier than others...the same as some women's asses are bigger than others.
Women can tell you to get waxed, but if you're a hairy guy then the pain, time, and expense would just be unrealistic. I'd say find a woman who is mature enough to take you for what you are...and have the same openness with her about any physical issues she might have! ^^^^^^^^^^ It would be a blessing if more people thought on those lines  | |
