What if Prostitution was Legal?

Do you think more guys out there to pay to get sex than it seems? Because it seems like almost every guy who is not a virgin, was able to get casual sex without being in a relationship, without being in love, etc. I asked a girl for advice and her opinion, I asked how to guys end up getting laid at bars and clubs? one night stands? She told me usually those are the good looking guys, the hot guys, Brad Pitt or David Beckham lookalikes, tall, big arms and six pack abs, etc. She said the guys who are average or below average, obviously have to work extra harder, and bars are not the best place for them.

In the Netherlands prostitution is defined as a legal profession; prostitutes have access to the social security system, may join unions, have to pay income tax and are treated like any other self-employed trades person. Health and social services are readily available, but the women are not required to register or undergo regular health checks.

Prostitutes must be at least 18 years old, while for non-commercial sex the age of consent is 16. Clients must be at least 16. Violation of either age limit is a crime for the other party, and possibly for a pimp.

Brothels are licensed legal businesses which are allowed to advertise. Pimping and trafficking human beings is illegal.

God bless the Netherlands. I swear this is something I really wish the gov't would look more into granted realistically I don't see it happening for another 10 years or so but I'm crossing fingers and toes.

The thing is, if something is legal and can be sold, then the government can tax it. Years ago in an Economics class the professor said that the black market generates just as much GDP (Gross Domestic Product) as the legitimate marketplace does.
