Just as "Ebonics" was seen as the language of poor, un-educated "black folks" until it became so widespread that it was officially recognized in many aspects of day-to-day life, so to will this (not so new) "text speak". As a matter of fact right now one cannot watch more than one hour of television without some commercial incorporating "it" to relate to todays youth. Like it or not thats the way pop culture has always been and will continue to be. Society is driven by youths. Sure you can **** and complain and become the type of person you said you would never be, (aka. the close minded individuals from yesteryear (sp?) ) or you can choose to embrace the way society is constantly changing. And that is by no means limited to todays vernacular, but all aspects. Long story short, society is ALWAYS changing, and you can either choose to accept that fact and direct your attention to things that truly matter.... Or you can be one of those miserable old farts that thinks he has the right to pass judgement on others because they don't conform to your view of "normal".
Anyways enough long-winded ranting about something that'll always be the same(intolerance).
To the OP i suggest that u communicate with him, tell what gets u goin, what really works for you. But DEFINITELY don't go planning everything!!! The first time is really more of a learning experience for both of u. No need to apply extra pressure. Save the extra special planning when things are more serious, and you know he's really smitten.
Anyhoo....just my 2 cents.

My guess is that these people sit in the dark at a little desk in a corner of their dank studio apartment with their pud in their hand typing these condescending messages while waiting for some porn to download.
Of cores you can be professional and educated and write in txt type. Hell, have you read any inter company documents from any major company over the last 10 years. Most of them are filled with acronyms and abbreviations. It's so mind boggling my company has a whole intranet link dedicated to commonly used acronyms.
I'm sorry people that feel they need to talk down to someone who has the prospect of getting a little nookey...but don't worry...your next video should be done streaming by the time you get done reading this and you can have at it big boy!
