Posted: 3/18/2008 9:03:45 PM | When I first saw those refrigerators with a TV screen at Home Depot, my very first thought was, “I’VE GOTTA HAVE ONE!” Waaaay cool!!! (It’s a guy thing.) 
If I may, I would like to expand this thread a bit – and I’ve already discussed this with SunnyTexas, who understands that I’m a few bricks shy of a load, so she said to go for it. But it just seemed to me that refrigerator doors merely scratch the surface (no pun intended) – we have other items that reflect our personality. (Hopefully, not the dishwasher or garbage disposal!) For example, there’s a thread over in the Relationship forum, “What your sofa says about you”. In that spirit, please feel free to share what other household items reflect your personality... or stick with your fridge. (Personally, those magnets are a source of great amusement for me.) Oh, sofas? Mine is leather… rich, sumptuous dark red leather. Yum! | |

Posted: 3/18/2008 10:10:57 PM | Oh I dont know How.. I think almost everyone has a 'fridge now a days..but other things??? dishwashers and garbage disposals? what are those? LOL...luxuaries.. so other things could be also..microwaves for instance??? if one has the funds to purchase what they would really like, thus sharing a bit of their personality we might be able to expand...??? As for me, I have someone else's reject for a sofa. Im happy with it. It's better than the previous hand me down! They sat it outside because the cat used one arm for a scratching post. It fit the color's I had so I was grateful to get it. Turned out to be a real jewel though.. it's a lazyboy sleeper sofa to boot! now if i could just get some overnight company. Just kidding... my grand kids love it and think that Grandma has a "magic couch!" Plus, I dont fret over one of them "having an accident" on it while I'm still makin furniture payments!

Posted: 3/19/2008 7:18:00 AM | Oh my sofa....I don't know if there's any difference betweem a sofa or couch or divan....but I call mine a couch.
It's made from Italian cows. It smells like Italian cows too....very western.
The day the judge told me (at our temporary hearing for the interim divorce) that I had to leave the home I lived in for my entire adult life....my best friend was there and as a distraction to cheer me up, she said "lets go shopping !". I told her I had enough shoes.....she said "NO ! furniture shopping !" I realized I had never before shopped for furniture. It was great. Even better that SHOE SHOPPING.
I bought what I wanted. I doubt I'll ever have to shop for a couch again. It's beautiful and very comfy, with matching oversized chair and ottoman. Very "lodgy and luxurious" !....kinda like me ! | |

Posted: 3/20/2008 5:08:13 PM |  was recently forced to buy a new refridgerator since my other decided to call it quits! Shopping for a new refridgerator is almost as hard as shopping for a new pair of shoes!  My favorite pics of my kids from Nebraska at a pumpkin patch my baby girl trying to climb on a goat and ride it! Several magnets, letters, numbers, animals, blue clues, kiddie stuff, TMS schedule magnet,. and of course "artwork" done by my kids. You can kinda see it is supposed to be a white fridge.
As for my couch, well it really isnt mine, my mom brought it with her when she moved to Texas. Its one of those recliner/couch things in one, its overly stuffed so I dont like it. Very rarely will you find me sitting on it watching the 52" tv.  That big of a tv was a waste to buy because I dont like watching tv, but sponge bob sure looks good on it!!  Sure hope my "couch" doesnt describe my personality, since its more for looks or when company comes over. (which doesnt happen often!) | |

Posted: 4/1/2008 1:40:18 PM | Refrigerator is almost blank ... there is one magnet (have no clue what's on it) it's only there to hold up the really cute pic of my niece.
Couch - well I will be sad to part with this couch it was a thrift store steal - in good condition, comfy etc. and less thanbut I am not hauling it back to Texas ... I'll buy a new one (well hopefully find a good thrift store find or hand me down from family).
Other things that reflect my personality are on my walls -
a 100 + year old woodblock print of a lodge in Germany (original frame and hobnails)
an embroidery piece my grandmother or her sister did of flowers (large piece, framed)
a Japanese origami of purple hydrangeas (well that's what they look like to me)
several photos I have taken of landscapes (I do sell some of those - but these are my faves for now)
and on one long hall wall - photos of my family this will expand when I get settled again as I have more photos of my family that I want to put up ... but don't have them here with me. | |

Posted: 4/1/2008 2:00:30 PM | The refridgerator on my porch.....er....uh..... in the garage has posters of hot rods on it, with nekked women. The posters are up there for the cars only...
Inside it.... what else, BEER, beef Jerky, a huge jar of pickles. The freezer has bottles of liquor, some fish bait, and my favorite monkey wrench.....
The fridge in the house has those disgusting magnets, and schedules on it....Gross! | |

Posted: 4/5/2008 11:23:54 AM | People with nekkid frigerators freak me out. They're going to hell...for sure...it just aint right ! Even worse if they keep water in there, or fresh vegetables....
But I do keep my eye mask in there....ready for the next hangover !
Don't ask me about the 12 year old belladonna suppository and bute.
Only horse people can understand that one.
Some day I think I'll smoke the belladonna.... | |

An almost empty box of Honey Nut Cheerios.
