Posted: 4/2/2008 6:36:44 PM | hi linda. well, i do not drink or smoke, so you may be wondering what's a nice girl like me going to a place like that!!! although i am not fond of smoking, i realize where i'll be so it's pretty hard to get upset about smoke. that's what people do in bars is smoke and drink   . usually smokers are more fun to be around!!! and even if you are a table away, you'll still walk out smelling like a cigarette, so i'll sit at smoking or nonsmoking tables  and just have fun and drink pop or water , and maybe dance  . maybe i'll even have something to eat

you will be missing a GREAT time at this party! Wish you were coming! The BEST way to date on POF is to attend a party when you can all see each other face to face, and escape 'email' isolation! | |

I know it is for some...have heard complaints.....but, you are right.... the bar IS the last great bastion of the smoker.....glad it doesn't bother you any more than it has to......kinda a relief in my book not to have to worry about it.....your hostess thanks you!  And is happy to abide by consensus opinion!
Michcat, we'll find you a lap......how about a nice game of musical chairs?
If anyone has any ideas about 'icebreakers' for this party, please either post or email me personally. Still scratching my head over this one. I WAS thinking of a POF only 'snowball' dance.....ya know, when you dance with one person till the band says 'snowball', then you switch partners....for you 'kids' out there not familiar with the term.....could use some suggestions from the partiers!  | |

I think alot of west-siders have signed up for the Checkers party and are starting to sign up for the Boogie Fever party in May.
C'mon ladies, having more men there than women will just be like a regular bar........LOL

At that time lots more will learn of it's existence and surely sign up. Some of us POFers are willing to travel up to an hour to parties however some people prefer to stick close to home, so there's no way of knowing how many eastsiders will decide to join us.
Sign up! More male eyecandy in the list of attendees will only help persuade more females to attend  | |

I knew when I called a FRIDAY party, which is a little unusual, that it would be kinda difficult for peeps to travel far....there are PLENTY POF on the extreme South/Westside that SHOULD be signing up for this party....since it is close to HOME for once.....I will wait patiently for it to move into the 'green box' and when I send my general invite I hope to have many more local signees......
We have to get used to having Livonia/Westland parties in this area! The eastsiders have been partying for a long time.....I hoped to get THIS area involved in fun, meeting and frolic!
