we need a truly innovative energy policy to fuel our cars. anything except oil based. atomic, hydrogen, vegetable, electric, coal, solar, even steam power.
we need to seal both borders not with fence but with walls and the military. then repatriate those who have come here illegally.
we need to retrieve our lost jobs with homeland innitiatives to bring those companies back that have gone awol. and keep american jobs here (this is the toughest one and i'm not sure how it can be done).
we need to move to the fair tax and eliminate the irs and all other taxes.
we need to do away with entitlements for the able bodied and provide manditory implanted birth control for women who have no means of supporting multiple babies.
tough? yeah. but tough is what we need. where's nixon when you need him

| Barack Obama, the most Amazing cadidate4 president in decades makes a powerful speech today 3/18/08 Posted: 5/22/2008 8:32:01 PM | Yeah vote Obama alright. Sure hope if he does that he could fix the trillions in debt we are in, NOT.
It is not going to happen. Some of you can day dream all you want about voting for this one and that one and guess what? It's not going to change a thing. You had your chance with Ron Paul and you blew it. And now stuck with the 3 stooges.
This country was already in a downward spiral before Bush was in office. Anyone who believes what McCain, Clinton or Obama are saying, are kidding themselves. They are professional liars.
Clinton or Obama...yeah....universal health care, ummmm. NOT A GOOD IDEA. One can only wonder how much longer this country can take before it's on the breaking point of an economic collapse and full blown riots in American cities.
People are becoming jobless, prices for everything are going up, people are starving and dying, foreclosures sky high and that all fuels the fire for people wanting to cause havoc and once a sizable amount of people have had enough, that's all it takes.
The whole Government is corrupt. There is no reason at all to believe what any of them say.
I hope some of you find out more about a man named Gary Null. You can search him on Google, "Gary Null Radio" and listen to his radio programs online. He talks about the presidental candidates and how terrible it is going to be with any one of them in office
Gary Null is the truth. | |

here you go... this is what an obama presidency would do to the U.S. economy. it doesn't look to good right now, and his desire to spend even more when we can ill afford to do so will only make things that much worse...
and if you want to do some real research on obama's economic positions, try googleing austen goolsbee, obama's chief economic advisor.he is a disaster waiting to happenb... advisors = policy...

re: the free concert.... the point isn't that the decemberists would draw 75k, i certainly acknowledge that they would not. but again, that isn't the point. did many people show up for that show? absolutely. they are a great band, and i would have gone to the show. but again, that really isn't the point.
the point here is that we have a media that is so ga ga over obama that they are not reporting the news. it is a relevent fact that obama has had not only THIS band open up for him, which increases draw especially among the young, but he has had other bands open up for him as well. have you once heard this reported in the news? i have not. also, keep in mind that i acknowledge that obama has a gift of oratory. but he has also been patently dishonest and has made gaffes that other candidates have not gotten away with. for example, if hilary had said that she had been to 57 states in the US, and refered to Arkansas as being close to kentucky the press would have put those sound bites on a never ending loop for days. as for the dishonesty, obama has taken great pains to link mcain to bush's attempt to privatize social security, even though it is a matter of public record that mccain did not support the legislation (he voted against it!). mcain did not even support the bush tax cuts. mcain has not had ONE ear mark in 30 years of being in the senate, while obama has had somewhere around 200 billion. while obama uses the rhetorical technique of repeating a phrase, and repeating mcain and bush over and over again, the fact of the matter is that mcain isn't well liked by the republican base because he has gone against republican legislation time and time again. for obama to paint him has a bush's right arm is completely dishonest. so, yes, i think it is important that the media distorted the story of obama speaking in front of 75k people... it only shows the depth of bias...

Not quite right...
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) created a stir today when he said in a published interview with the Wall Street Journal that he favored personal savings accounts in the Social Security System like those supported by President Bush.
This was a departure from the stand he takes on the issue on his Web site, which favors personal savings accounts as a “supplement” to the existing Social Security System. By contrast, the Bush plan called for using a portion of Social Security taxes to set up these private accounts for workers. It went down the tubes.
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/03/ mccain_hugs_bushs_dead_social.html
mcain did not even support the bush tax cuts.
In the tax section of his platform, he commits to making the Bush income and investment tax cuts permanent.
mcain has not had ONE ear mark in 30 years of being in the senate, while obama has had somewhere around 200 billion.
On the campaign trail, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) makes a big show of claiming that he is the “worst nightmare” of Congressional spending and that if elected, he “will veto every bill with earmarks.” At the same time, McCain’s campaign has said it will “cut some $160 billion in discretionary spending” out of the budget, including $95 billion that “began life as an earmark.”
But in an interview with NPR’s Robert Siegel yesterday, McCain bent his earmark elimination pledge, indicating that he would consider making an exception for projects like the Gee’s Bend ferry that he recently visited in Alabama:
SIEGEL: Why should voters, particularly in those places, believe that you’d do any better by them than other politicians, especially when you might even take away the earmarks that might bring them a new construction project or something like that?
SEN. MCCAIN: I can assure them that the earmarks that they have received, which have been few and far between because they are not represented by powerful lobbyists and special interests in Washington, that we will judge any expenditure of the American people’s tax dollars on the basis of need. Someone pointed out several earmarks that have been fortunately gifted to some of the neediest people in comparison to the earmarks that have gone, first of all. For an example, at Gee’s Bend they put in a ferry a couple years ago, and that was an earmark.
Just as with his false claim that he is “the only one the special interests don’t give any money to,” McCain has a credibility gap whenever he makes a sweeping statement that he will eliminate all earmarks.
As Think Progress has noted, in order to fulfill his pledge, McCain would need to cut U.S. aid for Israel and military housing. Faced with this reality earlier this week, McCain told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos that he would make an exception for such programs.
Thus far, McCain refuses to “name programs he’ll cut” and when challenged on particular programs, he seems to always make an exception.

Obama reveals earmark requests
On June 21 2007, Senator Obama released a list of earmark requests he submitted over the year. He had requested roughly 100 proposed earmarks from the Appropriations Committee, and the requests were for largely benign items, ranging from funding for AIDS programs to Army Corps of Engineers projects in the Chicagoland area.
Except for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), all of the other presidential hopefuls currently serving in Congress have also made requests for earmarks during the annual appropriations process, but only Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas), along with Senator Obama, revealed their earmark requests.
At least research your claims please.

I have a job that takes me all over the city of chicago and the only person I see being supported by display(yard banners ,bumperstickers etc.) Is Obama (A great used car salesman). I Hope you show your support for your candidate and not be ashamed like obviously so many of you are. I do applaud his supporters, they might be the type to buy a used car from him without even a test drive but they show their support nevertheless. I really do not think that people realize that this election is probably ranks in the top 2 important elections of the history of our country. Most think of this like American Idol. This is no joke!! I could only imagine what other counties are thinking of us now seeing massive support for a zero over a hero. They are laughing at how simple minded we are! I have not yet made up my mind who i will vote for yet but it is not some slick talking man who seems to have some strange star power over people who obviously have never been conned or just lead a sheltered life. I have to wait and see what happens with Hillary but it looks like she is done. The only reason I would consider her is because I do not know who Johnny will pick for a VP. Like I said this election is crucial and everyone of us needs to not look to the left or to the right but rather whos the best for this great nation of ours.
So please show your support for your candidate and our troops!

Let's just say that Hilliary goes back to the senate
Reid is already covering his butttt... He made the statement it was no big deal about a Senator running and then returning to the Senate. I think he will have a battle for Majority leader. Hillary has introduced a bunch of bills this year and submitted ..................... $2.5 Billion in earmarks. Those are perks for support in a leadership battle, and taking care of business.... Items needed for a long time and NOT done. Port Security for one....
I guessed there would be a little bit of hostility toward Kennedy for what he has done..... However This Kennedy health thing really stirs it up..... Reid is in trouble......
I believe she is postioning herself to set the agenda... Support Obama? He loses most of the power pushing him without Kennedy... I believe Hillary is for getting this country back on track. She has a LOT of popular support no matter what happens in ..09......

All sorts of noise, addresses no issues with any substance. What exactly are you excited about. I mean this is just fluff. You will wake up after the next election and the cancer will still be in place. Were still just whistling past the graveyard acting as though there is nothing to fear. No point in even voting unless you write in Ron Paul. Grow up, we cant just keep painting red flags green to " feel better".

| Barack Obama, the most Amazing cadidate4 president in decades makes a powerful speech today 3/18/08 Posted: 5/24/2008 2:11:03 AM | It just amazes me, that some people cant see thru the thinly veiled propaganda that is normal during elections,..this has got to be the thinnest of them all.
Where are the campagine promises, where are the "Plans" of how their going to "Fix", what ails us ?
Neither Clinton, nor Obama has laid out any kind of well thought out plan on how their going to attack the problems our country is facing.
It looks like that seems to be the method of standard operating procedure,..sort of like the way we went into Iraq,.....
I wish a buck was still Silver It was back when the country was strong Back before Elvis Before the Vietnam war came along
Are we rolling down hill Like a snowball headed for H -e -ll With no kind of chance For the Flag or the Liberty Bell
I wish a Ford and a Chevy Could still last 10 years like they should Is the best of the free life behind us now? Are the good times really over for good?
Stop rolling downhill Like a snowball headed for H - e - ll Stand up for the Flag And let's all ring the Liberty Bell
I never paid much attention to that song, but it seems that sometimes music is a good guide to live ones life, might not be a perfect role modle, but just sort of guidelines.
It just raises the hair on my neck, to listen to Hillery, and Obama,..say the things they plan on doing to help restore our country,..and know that we dont have a snowball chance in H-e-ll, of accomplishing anything, without some serious work,....and a lot of time,...our country wasnt led to ruin in a day,...and its gonna take a lot more than a day to dig it out.
Neither Hillery, or Obama, have got serious,..their so called plans, is just more of the same stuff that got us in the horriable position were in,.....More Governement Programs,...More SPENDING,..creating MORE DEBT !
People better listen to someone when he comes up with ideals to cut run away Gov't Spending,.
Like abolishing the IRS and Income Tax,.....thats a pretty Drastic measure, but it would put the money back in our pockets where it belongs.
Put our country back on the Gold Standard,...so our doller is actually worth something, besides paper.........thats would be a starting point in saving our economy.
Get rid of the Federal Reserve, and centrilized banking,.......put the power back in the hands of the people,....
Get rid of Forigen Aid, remove our Military from Iraq, and other countries where we are not needed,..and use our troops to start helping to protect our borders, instead of someone elses half way round the world.
Gee,...that makes perfect sense to me.
I know that some of this stuff might be over your heads,...but a sound country, is made by sound choices,....at least Ron Paul has ideals that include plans,.....
all the idle chatter coming out of Hillerys and the "Amazing Obama" is just hollow promises,.....
Wow,..maybe we can turn the White house into a 3 Ring Circus Act,....
And Now Ladys and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls from around the world,......
we bring YOU,....THE AMAZING OBAMA !
Oh,...Im sorry,...the White House is already a 3 Ring Circus,.....Its too bad Ronnie and Bonzo arent still around,..they had a pretty good show !

| Barack Obama, the most Amazing cadidate4 president in decades makes a powerful speech today 3/18/08 Posted: 5/24/2008 8:24:40 PM | You know....I'm a registered Republican....frankly , I'm somewhere in the middle.....I would like to vote for Obama.....just to shake this country up !!!!....I am just as pissed off .... as anybody else...with the economy...gas prices ... war...etc. I also don't believe the President....has all that much power....Seems to me it's a joint decision.
The only reason I would be hesitant to vote for Obama is.....I have this fear that ....some racist nut will shoot him in the head.....and the result would be.... every city in this country..... will be burnt down ..... in the riots that would follow...
Am I wrong to fear this ????

| Barack Obama, the most Amazing cadidate4 president in decades makes a powerful speech today 3/18/08 Posted: 5/25/2008 11:55:25 AM | How can people say such ignorant drivel?
Liberal Agenda will be the demise of our Individual Rights
Liberals are the ones that PROTECT your civile rights. What do you think the ACLU does?
That, in a nutshell, is what is wrong with our country. Some people are so ignorant, that they don't know what the real policies of their elected officiials are. We have an administration that has stripped us of many of our civil rights, but they have been convinced that Liberals will do, what Neocons have been doing for years. . . I have some ocean front propery I'd like to sell you!

| Barack Obama, the most Amazing cadidate4 president in decades makes a powerful speech today 3/18/08 Posted: 5/25/2008 3:52:50 PM | I look at it this way, If Obama IS elected, that would be the very reason to protect him and so I would rest easy about any fear of riots or the like. The last thing this country needs is to rub salt into a wound that hasn't healed yet.
I was in Los Angeles during the Rodney King trial and as an African American, I was PISSED at the outcome. Although I didn't participate in the rioting, I understood the rage from which it came. Can you imagine the collective rage of a people that already know they've had a raw deal from this country ?
You couple that with what happened (or didn't) in New Orleans and you have a bunch of Black folks that don't need much of an excuse so I see President Obama being among the best protected candidates ever.
