I'll Say New Jersey or Detroit you are still young ,you have plenty of time to see the error of your ways .maybe in a year or to you can work yourself up to the flames.keep your sights set high and you never know you might become an oilers fan.a bit lofty i know, but we all have to have goals.

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/23/2008 9:52:19 AM | ^^^ I'll agree that sharks will be in final, however I predict Pittsburgh winning the East this year, this young speedy team seems for real to me... they dont even have their superstar in line up and they keep on winning! | |

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/23/2008 11:44:50 AM | I like the Peguins' offence, but i just don't see Ty Conklin or especially Marc Andre Fleury as a playoff goaltender. Offences get shut down drastically in the post-season, and if the Penguins get shut down, they don't have the goaltending to steal a game. But I'll tell you, it will be hard not to pick Malkin or Crosby, if either of them are still available when it comes my turn to pick in our playoff draft. | |

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/25/2008 12:18:04 AM | don't take them in your draft pal. Pens are done in 5 games. Their goalies suck and will be chewed on like we are seeing over the past 2 weeks.
Highg glove side. They are both helpless.

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/29/2008 9:31:45 AM | | I think Detroit will win. After all these years, it's still hard to think of Detroit is in the western conference. koas86 "west is best", but Detroit is really geographically East and I think they will win the Stanley Cup. | |
|
| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/29/2008 9:54:15 AM | Technically the Wings are in the Mid West. As such they probably have the worst travel schedule for the season and first 3 rounds of the playoffs. Wings won't win because they don't have a Canadian as their Team Leader.
You don't win the Cup without a Canadian Leader. It's a Canadian thing!

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/29/2008 11:17:08 AM | | I don't think Detroit is technically in the mid west because they're in the eastern time zone. If they were in the midwest like Winnipeg, Chicago, St. Louis etc. they'd be in the central time zone like these cities. I can't remember the reason they were moved. Personally I liked it when there was a Campbells conference and Whales conference. It seemed that when they switched from that format to East and West, hockey has gradually declined. The present format doesn't allow the West to see Eastern stars and the East can't see Western stars. I wish they would go back to that format. | |

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/29/2008 12:26:37 PM | Well considering I am from there (Windsor) I can tell you that they do consider themselves Mid Westerners and not Easterners. Also if Detroit is not in the MidWest why is Ford Field hosting the NCAA Mid-West Regional his weekend?
They moved to the West to balance the conferences up. They have been trying to get back ever since.

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 3/31/2008 8:50:58 PM | Ducks wins the cup The east s so wide open that if the Caps make the playoffs they will go to the finals and face the Ducks. Devils are ALWAYS my dark horse because it comes down to what Brodeur wants, if he wants the cup, he will win it.
Final 4
Ducks/Sharks Caps/Pens (Oh how great it would be for Ovechkin to PWN Crosby in the playoffs, simply because the pens are 10-2 vs the caps since Ovechkin and Crosby came in the league)
If the Caps don't make it
Devils/Habs | |

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 4/1/2008 4:42:39 AM | "once again this team has proven their strength-Detroit to win it all."
I wonder how many points San Jose would have if they got to play Columbus, Shicaga, St. Louis and Nashville 8 times each,
This is one of the big reasons Detroit generally bows out of the playoffs earlier than expected: because their regular season record is stacked with wins against some of the league's weakest teams. I see it happening again this season.

| Predict your 2008 Stanley cup winner. Posted: 4/1/2008 12:59:02 PM | Who do you feel will win it all this season? i would love to see the calgary flames take the cup this year but i cant see it happening.
Who's your favorite to win it all? well i have to say the Detroit Red wings
Who's your darkhorse underdog to win it all? sad but true would have to be the ottawa senitors even tho i'm a die hard toronto Maple Leafs Fan.

Detroit is only 15-11-3 vs their division. That is not good either.... Yes thats 33 points, but San Jose got 36 point from their division.
Rangers are best at divisional games, 19-7-3 for a whopping 41 points.
Heck the Leafs got the same amount of points from their division, and they are terrible this year...
