We haven't gotten a single barrel of that oil to decrease/increase/stay the same for our 70% import of the stuff from other countries.

WOW,...you just answered,...you own question,..with that statement.

Of course,....we havent seen a decrese in prices at the pump,...

The reason being,.....given to us by our Guberment,....

Is that their isnt enough "Refineries",..to produce enough of the finished product, in order to reduce prices,...(you know the old "Supply and Demand" thing.)

The Refineries,...reason that they cant build more refineries,..to produce more supply,
is because of $COST$, and Government Regulations (restrictions -EPA)

Our own President,...REFUSES,..to dip into our own RESERVE,...like he is supposed to do, in times like these,.,..to help ease the burden.

Our own President,...REFUSES,...to lower,...the Governments TAX,..on Fuel,.......
to help ease the burden.

Our own President,...REFUSES,... to Investigate,..."PRICE GOUGING"

WHY ?????????

Because of RICH, GREEDY, FAT CAT, OIL CORPERATIONS, THAT ARE MAKING $$$BILLIONS$$$ OF DOLLARS EACH QUARTER.

PERIOD !

I myself,..and others,..have posted repeatedly,....and given links,...as to the real reason
the US Invaded,...Excuse me,...."LIBERATED",...Iraq,....in other threads,...

Sorry, you must not of read them,.......but even they are quoted at Wikipedia,.....
among several other places,...that the real reason is,.....

WHAT DO YOU THINK of THE WAR IN IRAQ ?

Posted: 4/5/2007 911 AM
http://forums.plentyoffish.com/5656388datingPostpage2.aspx

ughhhh!!! You people lmao ITS not about the OIL it never has been about the OIL!!!! If it was about the oil dont you think we would be paying a lot damn less????

Well of course we always going to hear that its not about the oil,....but do your reasearch,...and you will find the truth.

#1,....Saddam was stopping and starting the oil supply,..Needlessly,...and creating too much of an up and down cost flucuation,...making prices rise and fall,....and LOSEING MONEY for the USA.

Or should I say ,...loseing money for the Oil Companies,

#2,...Saddam was demanding payment in EURO's,...instead od US CURRENCY,...the USA would never stand for that.

#3,...Saddam,....had already promised the majority of the oil supply from the oil fields,...to CHINA,.....the USA would NEVER stand for that.

#4,....We are never going to get a break at the gas pump,...as far as prices go,...as long as we keep paying the high cost,....and not demand that something be done,.....

Look at EXON/MOBILE,.....posted a $47 BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT,....for a quarter of the year,...just for a quarter,....3 months,.....$47 BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT,...for 3 months ??????

Do you think "They" are sticking it to us, the consumer ???????

Why, ????? Because,..... "WE THE PEOPLE",...have become numb, and comfortable, to being screwed,....and lied to.

The cost of gas will continue to rise,...as long as we dont bytch,..and raise H#ll,...as long as there is the ability to get rich off of the oil,...the prices arew NEVER gonna come down.

Instead,....they will continue to go up,...due to what ever lie they decide to feed us next time.

And,....You can take that to the bank.

Just do a little more digging, and you will see,...we werent invited to Iraq,....we have been asked to leave,...and refuse to do so,..because we are protecting the future of these oil fields,..for our use.

Dont you think, the people in Iraq,..would like for the US to leave,..so they can start exporting the crude oil,...and becoming independitly wealthy themselves ???

Instead of being dirt,...errr,...excuse me,...."Sand Poor?"

Iraq asks the U.S. to leave as the situation allows
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War#Iraq_asks_the_U.S._to_leave_as_the_situation_allows

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told President Bush on April 9, 2008 that Iraqi security forces are capable of their duties and U.S. troops should be pulled out as the situation allows.[219] In May 2007, Bush said, "We are there at the invitation of the Iraqi government. This is a sovereign nation. Twelve million people went to the polls to approve a constitution. It's their government's choice. If they were to say, leave, we would leave."[220]

Bush said on April 11, 2008, that he is not ready to order further troop withdrawals from Iraq. The last of the surge troops are expected to return home in July. Any further withdrawals will be suspended for at least 45 days while General David Petraeus decides if they are possible.[221]

Yeah,....Rightttttttttttttttttttttttttt.

Criticisms and costs
Main article: "Criticism of the Iraq War"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War

The U.S. rationale for the Iraq War has faced heavy criticism from an array of popular and official sources both inside and outside the United States, with many American citizens finding many parallels with the Vietnam War.

According to the Center for Public Integrity, President Bush's administration made a total of 935 false statements between 2001 and 2003 about Iraq's alleged threat to the United States.[250]
Both proponents and opponents of the invasion have also criticised the prosecution of the war effort along a number of other lines. Most significantly, critics have assailed the U.S. and its allies for not devoting enough troops to the mission, not adequately planning for post-invasion Iraq, and for permitting and perpetrating widespread human rights abuses. As the war has progressed, critics have also railed against the high human and financial costs.

Criticisms include:
Legality of the invasion

Inadequate troop levels (a RAND study stated that 500,000 troops would be required for success)[251]

Insufficient post-invasion plans

Human casualties

Financial costs with approximately $474 billion spent as of 12/07 the CBO has estimated the total cost of the war in Iraq to U.S. taxpayers will be around $1.9 trillion.[252]

Adverse effect on global war on terror

Negative impact on Israel

Endangerment of religious minorities

Damage to America's traditional alliances and influence

Disruption of Iraqi oil production and related energy security concerns (the price of oil has quadrupled since 2002)[253]

(please read the above twice,...real slow,..and let it sink in)

Its has been repeated,...over, and over,...
and PROVEN,....repeatedly,...that the US INVADED IRAQ,....
under false pretense,..and plans on staying there,....
to protect BIG OIL CORPERATIONS INTEREST,.....

Not my interest,...not yours,.....not Americas,......

But BIG RICH OIL TYCOONS !

Well, let me think about why some of us think that way........

September 16, 2007

Alan Greenspan claims Iraq war was really for oil

AMERICA’s elder statesman of finance, Alan Greenspan, has shaken the White House by declaring that the prime motive for the war in Iraq was oil.

In his long-awaited memoir, to be published tomorrow, Greenspan, a Republican whose 18-year tenure as head of the US Federal Reserve was widely admired, will also deliver a stinging critique of President George W Bush’s economic policies.

However, it is his view on the motive for the 2003 Iraq invasion that is likely to provoke the most controversy. “I am saddened that it is politically inconvenient to acknowledge what everyone knows: the Iraq war is largely about oil,” he says.

Greenspan, 81, is understood to believe that Saddam Hussein posed a threat to the security of oil supplies in the Middle East.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/article2461214.ece

Given who the man is, and his insider status (not to mention that his wife is .....hmmm......CNN's Andrea Mitchell ,Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for NBC News) , I think that's a pretty good logical basis for our concern.

Couple that with the historical fact that the first NSC meetings this administration ever had, in early 2000 involved focusing on maps of Iraq's oil fields, and we start to see a pattern.

"Big Oil" appears to have won. The latest plan, obtained by Newsnight from the US State Department was, we learned, drafted with the help of American oil industry consultants.

Insiders told Newsnight that planning began "within weeks" of Bush's first taking office in 2001, long before the September 11th attack on the US.

An Iraqi-born oil industry consultant, Falah Aljibury, says he took part in the secret meetings in California, Washington and the Middle East. He described a State Department plan for a forced coup d'etat.

Mr Aljibury himself told Newsnight that he interviewed potential successors to Saddam Hussein on behalf of the Bush administration.

Secret sell-off plan

The industry-favoured plan was pushed aside by a secret plan, drafted just before the invasion in 2003, which called for the sell-off of all of Iraq's oil fields. The new plan was crafted by neo-conservatives intent on using Iraq's oil to destroy the Opec cartel through massive increases in production above Opec quotas.

The sell-off was given the green light in a secret meeting in London headed by Mr Chalabi shortly after the US entered Baghdad, according to Robert Ebel.

Mr Ebel, a former Energy and CIA oil analyst, now a fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, told Newsnight he flew to the London meeting at the request of the State Department.

Mr Aljibury, once Ronald Reagan's "back-channel" to Saddam, claims that plans to sell off Iraq's oil, pushed by the US-installed Governing Council in 2003, helped instigate the insurgency and attacks on US and British occupying forces.

We have proof that those maps were looked at, and we can also confirm the dates they were studied.

Maps and Charts of Iraqi Oil Fields

These are documents turned over by the Commerce Department, under a March 5, 2002 court order as a result of Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit concerning the activities of the Cheney Energy Task Force. The documents contain a map of Iraqi oilfields, pipelines, refineries and terminals, as well as 2 charts detailing Iraqi oil and gas projects, and “Foreign Suitors for Iraqi Oilfield Contracts.” The documents are dated March 2001.

http://www.judicialwatch.org/iraqi-oil-maps.shtml

You'll find copies of those maps there.

We also know, from Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill's revelations, that the plans for war with Iraq started then - long before 9/11.

And what happened at President Bush's very first National Security Council meeting is one of O'Neill's most startling revelations.

“From the very beginning, there was a conviction, that Saddam Hussein was a bad person and that he needed to go,” says O’Neill, who adds that going after Saddam was topic "A" 10 days after the inauguration - eight months before Sept. 11.

“From the very first instance, it was about Iraq. It was about what we can do to change this regime,” says Suskind. “Day one, these things were laid and sealed.”

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/01/09/60minutes/main592330.shtml

Add to that the current PSA agreements on the Iraq oil fields, that concentrate most of the profits from said oil fields (the world's second largest) into the hands of the corporations behind this administration.

Game, set. match.....

Motive, means, and opportunity - all you need to trace back the path to the reasons for this war.

Hey Guess what ...

You suck!

I support our Troops! As my son (82nd Airborne) has been to Iraq and back and just spent 15 months in Afghan.

As all these great peoples are there for a reason.

Demand for all to be brought home to their mother country?

Your an idiot... thats all i have to say.

They are there to bring in Freedom regardless of your foolish ways.

Do ya have a clue of all that has been done in Iraq and Afghan? Ya probably don't.

Goodness, maybe ya need to take a moment to think.

Not seeing major stuff anymore. Go figure.

God Bless the Military Worldwide!

Montreal guy,

Do you support your troops? Do you support your Canadian troops in Afghan?

They can use some hockey sticks and hockey pucks.

As they have built a rink.

I have pics, as my son has been there.

So, everytime one of your Canadian guys die, your gonna say it was a motive for oil?

How awful is that?

They are proud and willing to go forward to allow you to say what you say.

You need to be grateful for all these young people that want to go forward to keep you free.

This threads about Iraq, not Afghanistan. Two separate issues.

I certainly do support the troops, and know the father of two men who served in "the "Stan" quite well. When I see someone like a reservist in a local coffee shop, most of the times I'll offer to buy them a coffee - and shake their hand.

You'll also find that support expressed in a few threads on the topic here, as well as my support for American and Dutch troops. One of the reasons I haven't gone to anti-war demonstrations here is that they now tie the Iraq and Afghan war together, so I avoid them.

"No matter what you think about the war, never disrespect the warrior"

I thought up that slogan when the war in Afghanistan started, if you Google for it, you'll find it's being used by quite a few people all over the world - thanks to a gaming site I'm a member of.

That site featured a game called America's Army Online, and allowed me the chance to make some good friends with soldiers in the US , British, and Dutch armies.

I'm proud to call them my friends, and consider myself lucky to know them.

That doesn't stop me from questioning the politicians and their commanding officers decision to go to war. That's another issue, as those that serve do not decide the battle to be fought.

I want to state to my memory I have never said the oil was not a part for us going in. What I have stated (un-like the belief of extremes) is that it was not the ONLY reason for why we went in there.

I really believe that Bush Senior wanted to have happen during his war with Iraq what is happening now but it did not work out that way. I believe he groomed his son on his ideas who was very much "in the know" about his dad's original ideas of Iraq and the US while he was in office and what he wanted to establish/have happen in the Arab countries that would benefit the US. I believe bush Jr. is just an extension of earlier defeated plans of his dad.
But I am a firm believer that a few important issues had been the reason for plans for an invasion into the Arab countries at least for few decades by various US presidencies to have a military foothold smack dab in the Arab countries. As the imort of oil for the US grew and the hate for the US grew by various Arab countries, it became more and more important to the different US presidencies to put a plan into action. Bush Senior began it and Bush Junior completed it. BUT, Complications have arisen and have caused the long thought out plans for this military move to have it's wide profitable influences to now be reconsidered. Like the oil. We haven't gotten a barrel of it back here in the states. I am sure part of the plan was that we would have had a good portion of that oil being shipped here by now. I am sure it was not well considered that the situation of suicide bombings against Israel would become a duplicate issue in Iraq against the US and Iraqi's. I am sure they never saw that one happening as it has happened. I am also sure they never contemplated so many other countries would object and those that didn't would later pull out, not wanting to be a part of the war and it's final end with "oil" profits of helping to democratize such a oil rich country from such a tyrant dictator.
We thought we were stepping into a small puddle and now were knee deep in mud.

Globalisation and War
http://www.globalpolicy.org/globaliz/econ/2008/0310warglob.htm

By Susan George
March 10, 2008

Globalisation is "corporate-driven"; it’s the system which allows transnational business and finance to invest what they want where they want; to produce what they want; and to buy and sell what they want, everywhere, with the fewest restrictions possible coming from labour laws, social conventions or environmental regulations.

Exactly one of the main reasons were in Iraq,...and have our troops in 130 Countries around the world.

That definition is not mine, it is that of a prominent European business man.

Globalisation is also "finance-driven": we need only look at the vast mess in the financial markets today to see how free to operate they have been. Government officials who are supposed to be regulating these markets no longer have a clue what is going on. Let us recall too the slogan that Klaus Schwab gave to this year’s festivities in Davos: "The power of collaborative innovation". Well, the finance people have certainly been innovating like mad and now, after having collected enormous bonuses, they want the taxpayers to bail them out, as usual. The United States Congress is working with their representatives on legislation to do that right now. The corporations and the banks demand deregulation until they get themselves into trouble, but in that case, of course, State intervention is justified.

Exactly what goes on, and as said,.....
they want the taxpayers to bail them out, as usual.

Thats "Business as useal."

^^^ because its not what you do but why you do it. People are ok with making human sacrifices if the cause is worthy. If the cause turns out to be LIES then people aren't so keen on human sacrifice.

...and if you think it a worthy cause and are able bodied you should be there, like Pat Tillman....who got shot by his own people.... about the same time he started to voice questions about the worthiness of the cause...

(for an indication of the worthiness of the cause, look at the Coalition of the Leaving)

And when Republicans were screaming about how the US should leave Somalia, and saying that the sacrifice wasn't worth it ?

How many men died there ?

How come their loss was so great then, and made such an impact ?

How come no one branded those Republicans as "cut and runners" ?

One thing that I have won money on before in little bets (a coke, a dollar, etc.) with repuiblican coworkers is the question... "Which president sent troops to Somalia in the first place?"

The answer is Bush Sr and he did so at the end of his presidency. It is almost unheard of for a president to embark on a major foreign policy shift when he is a lame duck, but damn if Sr did not do it. Cinton took office with thousands of troops in a foreign country than weren't there when he was elected a few short months previously.

I don't care what anybody else says, it's all about oil. Needless deaths to keep the USA in the wraps of big oil. We invaded the wrong country. Iraq had nothing to do with Osama Bin Ladan. Bush is an idiot! Plain and simple, an idiot!

Amen!

A clear example of exactly what everyone should understand, yet a lot fail to do so.

What SCARES the Crappola outta me,....is the Fear that the US is still pressing for a WAR against IRAN !

It has bothered me for years,..that the USA will become embroiled in battle in the Middle East,....and it has become a reality,.....

I try to be a realist,.....I try to make a rational, informed, decision, before I decide on what I believe to be the truth.

What I believe is,..the US Invasion in Iraq, was bound to happen,...and it did,....

What I believe is,..The US is set, and poised, to strike at IRAN,
at the least provocation,
instead of exausting all other avenues of approach,
to solve the differences that the US has against IRAN.

Why doesnt the US,...try to do everything in its power, to resolve problems ?
The US expects the rest of the world to look up to us, and our example of Diplomacy,
as a way to solve their problems .

The leaders of the US has tarnished our countries image soooooooooo bad,
by trying to be the worlds Police Force,....

I thought the US ,...was supposed to be trying to set an example of being the Worlds,... "PEACE FORCE".....
yet,... we still remains the largest War Machine,..and munitions dealer.

4,000 dead,...is just a drop in the bucket, compaired to what looms ahead,....if our country continues to instigate problems in the Middle East with IRAN.

If, and when, the Middle East, decides to band together, to fight against the infidels,...
meaning the US,....Mankind will change,..the World will change,.....Peoples lives will change.....forever !

Our "Allies",..will turn against us, ,...
as they did,..after their initial support for the US after 9-11.

What was once "Friends",..will suddenly become enemies,.....the battle will be far worse than you, ...or most people can even imagine.

Consider that we do decide to drop the "Big One" on IRAN, to "Teach Them A Lesson"
if IRAN should even threaten to drop a "Big One" on Israel,....
the World will witness
yet another shocking reality,....like Japan,....and it wont end there.

Open you EYES,......Use your Brain !...we are heading for a collision course with disaster,.......Millions will die.

It wont be worth counting the dead,.......

In a WORLD GONE MAD !

tralala, the military does what it is told to do and the mission is blind faith. Lots of retired and top generals disagree with the Iraq invasion. They are doing their best, but its time to bring them home.

....and this is exactly what some people are trying to MAKE happen so they can have their Armageddon and Jesus comes floating out of the sky .....

I study the Aztecs - You know a big reason why they went down in flames? Because they believed in an apocalyptic event and saw Cortes as being it. They are a very good example of psychosomatic destruction of their civilization.... but we now have the potential to make that incident pale in comparison.

Marine who died after chase wrote of war stress

You know, they don't count those who were flown out and died later in Germany or other military hospitals!

And, try over 1 1/2 MILLION disabled!

Yeah,...ya dont have any idea how many Vets come back home, and can NEVER, return to any sembalance of a "Normal Life", after going through the horrors of war.

Theres no way, to count the "Walking Wounded",...that will carry this burden the rest of their life,....

Often,..we'll hear tales,...such as this one, of a Solider, that returns home after serving his country faithfully,...then becomes a time bomb, just waiting for the least little trigger to detonate the fuse,...or eat the bullet,...killing theirself, sometimes those around them.

But this tale, is one with an unuseal twist,...two brothers, decide thay cant take it anymore,..so they hit the road,...to drive to the Grand Canyon,...and make a spectical
"Hollywood" inspired car cash, into the canyon,....yet fail to achieve their goal,...

So they set off to find another, different way,..too end their sorrow,...with a much more tragic twist.

Marine Staff Sgt. Travis N. "T-Bo" Twiggs, served his country, with 4 tours of duty in Iraq,...and one in Afghanistan ,....returned home,...and went through months of service related therapy for PTSD,...and up to 12 kinds of medication.

Last month Staff Sgt. Twiggs, was one of the group of Iraq war veterans the
"Wounded Warriors Regiment",..that visited the White House, and gave President bush a "Bear Hug" (that should of showed how unstable his condition was)
and he told the president,...."Sir, I've served over there many times, and I would serve for you any time."......(which should of been even more cause for alarm)

This battle weary solider, gives his rendition of "Hail the the Chief",....then goes off to drive a car into the Grand Canyon, killing his brother, and himself,..yet their plan falls short of the results expected.

So its off into the setting sun,....and when Border Patrol ask for them to pull over into an Inspection area,....it turns into a high speed chase for 80 miles,..then as their vehicle is surrounded my Border Agents, and Police,.... he shoots and kills his brother, then turns the gun on himself.

Chalk two (2) more up for the death toll of the Iraq War.,,,,with possably many, many more to follow.

Subject: FW: Not for the CBS News Interview Request

Our suicide prevention coordinators are identifying about 1000 suicide attempts per month among the veterans we see at our medical facilities. Is this something we should (carefully) address ourselves in some sort of release before someone stumbles on it?

I think this is something we should discuss among ourselves, before issuing a release. Is the fact that we’re stooping them good news, or is the sheer number bad news?

Sorry to disagree with you bikerbiker53 but the world has not gone mad. It's just the Americans. Who else in the world but America thinks that the war is about oil?. Who else in the world thinks that Mr. Bush or Mr. Blair (Brown) are terrorists?. No-one, at least not anyone of any consequence. It's just the voices of those who fear that are getting louder and louder in your country due to the very things you read in here and elsewhere. It's only you Americans that think the world is going to hell in a handbasket. Most other people around the world see great changes taking place which will make the world a much better place to be.

If you only listen and concern yourself with war and to those who distrust your government, or anyone in authority, then it is understandable that you would think these things. That however does not make them true.

America is the 'leader' of the free world it's just unfortunate that you don't wish to be seen as a benevolent leader. Your country has been given the greatest opportunity mankind has ever known to bring about world peace. You should address your thoughts and efforts into things that will bring this about.

Right now there are 2.5 million Somali's facing death from starvation before Christmas. Marine life and the marine eco system around Medway in the Pacific is being detroyed by millions upon millions of plastic rubbish being washed onto the coral reefs and shores every day. Israel and Syria are starting peace talks and have the issue of the Golan heights on the table. Do you understand that resolving this issue alone will bring a lasting peace to the Middle East.

If we also take this opportunity, as one person I saw in here suggested, to build the state of Palastine into a land that is a jewel in the Middle Eastern crown and a beacon of freedom to the world, then we will be 85% there towards world peace.

The United Nations has again started to show how powerful it is on the world stage and Bhurma is starting to take note and respond. It was the collective strength of the United Nations which first dealt with Iraq. We should support the United Nations, UNICEF, UNESCO and other world sponsored bodies then the world will know true peace and humanity and the nightmares you are having in your sleep and when awake will never come true.

Is that so ?

Who else in the world but America thinks that the war is about oil?. Who else in the world thinks that Mr. Bush or Mr. Blair (Brown) are terrorists?.

Well,..first off,..the British Press, the UK,....for beginners.

The press of the UK was the first New Media that I heard SPEEK OUT, against the involvement in Iraq, and against Bush, and those that support him.

When the World, finally saw through the LIES,....the US lost almost all of the Worlds support,...because of the News Media basicly coming out of Briton and the UK.

While Americans were still here at home believeing all the lies we were being told, other countries around the world was telling the TRUTH, and not worried about stepping on our Toes, or hurting our feelings.

And now, you think YOU can come in here and try to tell us that Amercians are the only ones thinking that the world is

going to hell in handbasket

You stated many things to show exactly that the world is going to hell in a handbasket,
Yet, you deny it ?

America,.."Used" to be the Leader of the "FREE" World, and now we believe that were the Worlds POLICE FORCE,..committing many acts against others, that we condem ourself,......I guess its ok, as long as we do it.

This thread is about 4000 DEAD,........

I look at it, that YOU,..want the US to continue in an illegal, immoral, unjust WAR,
and have 4,000 More Dead,.......if you truly wanted Peace, then YOU know that WAR is not the answer.

How awful is that?

It's pretty awful.

There was a memorial in our town yesterday where 4000+ white crosses were placed along the roadside of a major street. Many people did not like to be reminded of the reality of our current situation.

An organizer got given "the Finger" by a middle aged woman driving a big truck that sported both Bush AND Support the Troops bumper stickers.

A woman helping to place the crosses in the early morning had a beer bottle thrown @ her.

There was NO element of overt protest in the placing of the crosses...merely a true memorial, yet some folks insisted we were "Anti-American" for honoring the fallen.

tralala, there were 50,000 mothers of young men who died in Viet Nam and I am sure that they stuck to the "domino theory" all these years, too ........some things are hard to face.

You need to understand that there are an awful lot of people in and around government who thrive off war, the feed on it and profit by it, it's their business and no matter what ideology or rationalizations are carried on ..........it's the bottom line and everyone in power benefits big time from it.

Everyone but the dead and wounded soldier.

I wish I knew how to stop people saying how many are dead. 4,000, 500,000, 1.5 million, put whatever number you feel here!. Every single life extinguished is a sadness we must all bear and it is a personal responsibility that we must all share too.

We must all respect those who have died on all sides because they died for what they believed was the right thing. The only exceptions to this would be the children and civilians killed by combatants on both sides. The innocent victims who probably outnumber fighting men and women a hundred times over.

It is our personal responsibility to try and stop these deaths. We owe that to those who have yet to die in these conflicts. I believe that in order to do this we must again return to the United Nations and ask for their intervention. We should hand over control of both the American and British forces to the UN.

We should also start to fight Jihad that will change the way we are viewed by other nations. If we can pipe oil from the desert or the frozen wastelands of the Arctic, why can't we pipe fresh drinking water to our brothers and sisters who need it and say to them "Have a drink on me brother". Lets make their deserts into fertile land for growing the food they need. Lets start the Jihad for the hearts and minds of the world.

There are millions of refugees around the world to whom we could reach out right now and save their lives. People who would call us Angels for doing that. Maybe the time has come to stop counting those we have killed and start to count those we have saved.

Its sad,...but "OUR" involvement just causes more problems, than it helps,....or havent you noticed ?

Our "Liberation" of Iraq,..has created more fighting withing the country,....more child infant mortality rates,....less water available,....less freedoms,......and theor having to import oil ???

Have whacked is it, that the second richest oil nation in the world,..is soooooo poor,
and has to import oil ??????

I think were being called "The Devils Advocate"

You want to help Iraq,....you want to ?Save Lives",..then insist the US get the heck out of Iraq, and other countries, and stsrt minding our own business,.......

While were off in an unpopular war,...the people left here, are robbing us blind.
