i thought this was for guys to answer questions. Yet there are more girls asking questions with fake pictures then guys. I think the girls might be guys. Who knows in the internet world anyone can be anyone they want. | |

LMAO ... today on the way home from work, I saw 3 guys with the "sagging pants" pushing a car around the corner to get to the gas station down the road.
It was hilarious ... they could only push with one hand as they had to use their other hand to hold up their pants. They kept losing the grip on their pants and had to let go of pushing the car to grab their pants as they slipped further and further down.
People were yelling out of their cars at them ... cheering them on. One guy tossed them a bungee cord to use to hold up their pants ...  | |

The version I heard was that the fashion did, indeed, originate in prison, was copied by gangsta "wannabes;" but the original intent was to say "this butt's available" for sex, in prison.
I heard it's because prison clothes aren't available in custom sizes so many inmates end up in pants that are too large. They aren't allowed belts in prison for safety reasons. The sagging pants aren't necessarily an invitation for sex but make access easier for those who are after it. | |

I heard it's because prison clothes aren't available in custom sizes so many inmates end up in pants that are too large. I think we can pretty much put that rumor aside. Let's see now ... exactly how long ago was it that they invented elastic?
I think we can find suspenders back before the 1850's. Modern underwear has been around since about 1930, so I think we can assume that elastic was incorporated into prison (jail) pants shortly thereafter.
The sagging pants aren't necessarily an invitation for sex but make access easier for those who are after it. Actually ... the sagging pants (in prison/jail) ARE indeed an invitation for sex ... at least that's what my inmates were telling me.

... we are seriously becoming old when we start critizing fashion trends just as our parents did to us when we wore.....uh ---> demin? Wow ... either my parents were not such "old farts" after all or we just didn't test them. We were poor and didn't have much money for any kind of "fashionable new stuff" and so I guess that's why we probably did not present such a challenge to my parents.
My parents never criticized us for wearing denim ... those were considered our "play" clothes while we were growing up. In order to preserve our "school clothes" ... we were required to "change into play clothes" pretty much the moment we got home from school. We also had "play shoes" ... to be worn outside while messing around in the yard ... riding our bikes, roller skating. Those were usually old worn out gym shoes that were handed down from older siblings.
Of course back then, the girls were not allowed to wear pants/slacks/shorts to school either. We had to wear skirts, dresses, jumpers with blouses and sweaters, so any kind of jeans and pants were only worn at home. | |

You're absolutely right, it's only a rumor. Our inmates wear jumpsuits and I've never personally been incarcerated, so I can only go by what others tell me. Elastic can be removed and used to strangle self or others. Same reason they're not allowed shoes with laces. Maybe they don't think that way in your prison/jail, but supposedly that's the logic they use here.

I've also heard (LYAO if you must) that the guys in saggy pants are targets for other guys looking for a b.itch. Those who are looking for sex don't need saggy pants to get what they're after. They just take it. Of course, I'm no expert like you. I've never had my own inmates. Just repeating what I've heard from someone who's been there. Doesn't mean it's true. If your inmates are telling you they intentionally wear their pants that way so everyone knows they want the other guys to have their way with them, then I stand corrected. Thanks for clearing that up for me. | |
