Posted: 7/27/2006 10:51:49 AM | Yep, there sure are real women out there. I pay for everything all on my own. I don't need a man for anything. I'd like companionship now and then but need his money? No way. I go on vacations and everything else alone. I dine alone, I do it all on my own. My motto when dating is .. .. you buy dinner this evening, I'll buy next time. You pay for tyhe movie, I'll buy the popcorn and so on. It isn't about a 50/50 relationship, it's all about 100/100.

After being here for a "whole" month and you are not married yet, may I suggest that. You'll have her delivered by a big ole jet aircraft. Just remember, her picture was taken about 20 years ago or she had somebody else stand in for the picture.
On a more serious note, take your time. When I was in car sales, I started out trying to sell a person the car I would like to have and was told not to do that. Simple reason..................There's a butt for every seat. Get the picture? | |

So many of you ladies are saying that these kinds of women are out there. I would be delighted to hook-up with one of them. I would even be delighted to fix a nice dinner with candle light. Then we could both clean up the mess so that we could spend more time cuddling while watching a movie.
I am retired so I could have it ready for my lady to come over, have a glass of wine, and relax while I pull things together in the kitchen.
In fact, I will even let her pick the movie. I would prefer that it is not a chick flick, but I would watch that if need be. | |

Posted: 7/27/2006 7:57:22 PM | I don't even think it's so much a money issue. I've found that most woman on here, don't even have the courtesy to respond, to your taking time to contact them.
You'd think you asked them to bed or to marry you and they don't even give you a chance, so they can get to know you at all.
I see many with multiple divorces, marriages lasting months or a few years, and when someone decent does contact them, you're automatically just as bad as their ex's.
One thing I can say and be proud of, I've only been married once, and just because we have grown apart, at least I truied and went the extra mile for over thirty years. And they act like you hhave to prove something to them, as if they weren't part, or all of the reason for their failures.
Now that, I do find amazing. It's simply the ME generation out there, with none of them wanting to work for a good relationship.
Wait; you may have a point, if I had tons of money and could put them up in their own place, there would probably be takers lined up.
Possibly, I've just been really lucky, that none of them have been sincere. I'd probably be in divorce court in 2 years also. WHEW!

Although I am only looking for friends at the moment I am one of the what you call FEW that actually does take time to respond to the emails I get. Although it does work both ways since some of you guys do not even have the decency to repsond with not even so much as a "sorry not interested".
It is hard to find a real person these days but I can honestly say I am not one to say one thing and do another. I am who I am. People either accept me that way or not at all. I am not looking for anyone to support me at all since I started working at an early age and I have always been use to paying for what I needed or wanted. I was taught you have to work for what you want and that is what I have done since I was 15 yrs old.

Not everyone is as bad as an ex that you have had. Everyone deserves a chance. I will admit I was married twice and I am currently waiting to go through with the second divorce. BUT that does not mean I think that every guy around is as bad as my ex. Although I have met some that are as bad but I have met more nicer than the ex. Just by being themselves and not someone they arent. I have learned to accept someone for who they are and not for something they are not. I judge a person more by whats on the inside rather than looks alone. I know I wasnt married that long although I did try to make things work but we had different opinions on everything and there was no solving nothing in the end.
I know there are decent people out there which I have met several of them at the Lakeland get together. Everyone I met there, male and female, were REAL people and extremely nice. I know not everyone is the same but everyone does deserve a chance at anything and THERE ARE REAL PEOPLE OUT THERE they are just hard to find.

Keep seeking what you are looking for and don't give up! If they don't respond then they are not what you are looking for. By responding to an email, it is courtesy and courtesy is respect so if a woman does not respond then she has no clue what respect is.

to the OP...you mention McDonald's and Burger King....immediately I'm thinking...CHEAP...plus i'm a vegetarian, so what is my dinner going to be FRIES and a salad??? don't mention restaurants...it's all in the phrasing....meet for coffee or a drink to see if you hit it off...I see a lot of men who do this...course there are women like me who don't drink coffee or alcohol so then you need a plan B...but if a man is honestly asking me out to get to know me and date me...then i think he should take me out to a nicer place than fast food...it doesn't have to be the most expensive place in town...but put a little effort into it...it shows a woman you are serious...and do i want a long term relationship with a man not willing to take me out on dates???
ok for the guy saying he'd like to meet some ladies for a ''hook up'' at his home over a dinner he cooks then snuggle for a movie....uhm...maybe you need a clearer definition as to what ''hook up'' means...some people say ''make out session'' others, like me see it as sex...my 19 yr old daughter says ''come over and watch a movie'' means ''let's have sex''...this is what women are hearing from your words...how about a public meeting a few times so that they can know you better and trust you....too many crazy things out there happening for someone to come over for a first date
now the guy who talks about women being rude and not answering his emails...this is a tired, worn out complaint on here...clear and simple....they are looking for something that YOU don't appear to them to be...whether it's looks or something in your profile you don't fit what attracts them to a man...now some women do respond to emails with a polite "thanks but we're not compatible, good luck" and then they get slammed, and called names...very rude emails...it's not cool...so sometimes rather than risk it, i just hit delete...
OP there are real women...and there are materialistic women as well...men complain about women just wanting a wallet, women complain that men only want sex...it's age old arguments and going to continue forever....just keep looking...change your wording around a bit...and maybe that will help | |

Posted: 10/25/2006 4:09:20 PM | listen up ladies (and gents too). I suffered two disasterous relationships in the last three years. The men were broke (just down on their luck; i told myself). I considered myself a modern, educated lady of twentyth century, said to myself, it's o.k. if i make more than he does, i just want to be happy (you see, i'm not a materialist person either).
HOWEVER.......
all these guys wanted was a free ride from someone stupid enough to give then one, and were willing to say anything to keep me paying their bills (shelling out dough for their traffic fines, their watches in the pawn shop etc.....) From now on, i say "screw the modern woman crap!" I want to see his car, his bank account, and his credit score, i want to know where he works, how long he's worked there, and how much he makes. I see now why women ask about those things first......... i just had to learn it the hard way.........not only that.........but how can a man love and care for you if he does not love and care for himself? Having you life together in all those respects demonstrates that the man loves and cares for himself (has self respect and good self esteem), which in turn means he can love and respect you back........That's what every lady deserves!
