Amy..ROFL! Submissive, me?

Ohhh Hodgie darling...looking for war are we? I might have hugged you first but you kissed me first! you little devil you! Going fast indeed! ROFL!

Rip...we both like to drive fast too? (shh don't tell Lighthouse babe) I was driving home from up north once and saw a duck heading towards my windshield once but was going too fast (shhh again) so I swerved to try to avoid him...he flew outta the trees where there must of been a pond! darn thing ended up hitting my antenae and bent it in the shape of his body...just like a U grrrrr cost me a lot to replace that thing! LOL now I can laugh.at the time I wanted to pick him up and take him home and cook his dumb butt!

On my wy home from a bingo with my dad's wife up north one night several years ago, she hit a rabbit and we were both upset...came in and told my dad, next morning he woke us up and asked why we hadnt told him we brought it home...ewww, he found it when the dogs were going nuts all over the front of the car...it was stuck in the bumper!LOLOL, the dogs were labs and out of their minds wanting the poor dead thing!

Ever notice that after you know you hit something, you know its dead, but still, you have to go look at it if you can. Kinda like driving over a plastic shopping bag, you look to teh rear view mirror... waiting for it to come out from under the back of the car, but ... nothing. Where the heck did it go? So after you get where your going, you have to inspect the emtire car looking for it but never to be found LoL

Needless to say, I have not yet an animal driving (Yeah Me) I have come oh so close on many occasions. *knocks on wood*

Now, all you lead foots out there... how fast is considered speeding? 5? 10? 20 over? How fast does everyone drive on average over the speed limit?

I tend to go between 5 and 8 over on a regular basis, but have been known to really speed down the highways.. say 20 or 25 over the limit on 75 .

Not to put a damper on things but I know someone who swerved to avoid hitting something and a couple of people lost thier lives. I bring this up because I heard if you think you're going to hit something, you should just hit it because of what I just mentioned. This may not be true in the case of a deer, but not sure. Any opinions on that? I recently ran over a poor little dog that ran in front of my car. Poor thing. Only good thing was I don't he ever knew what hit him. It was just like you described though sargo, except I did find it, a couple of houses away. I couldn't leave until I knew what happened to him.

My ex and I (again with the animals stories...last one cause there is no more...LOL) were driving just outside of town and a deer ran into the road...he swerved to avoid it but that meant he was taking us into a big ditch (and on my side, think he thought about that? LOL) so I yelled for him to stay on the road and hit the deer, which he did. we were traveling at 70 miles an hour, he probably would of at least killed me and our son if I hadn't just read an article about that very thing Susie...smart chicka you are. However the deer and my car didnt fare very well...but they were the least important!

When I hit the duck I had time to weigh my options and slow a bit and it was a SMALL swerve... does that make sense?

That is true.

Like the time I was heading down 75 (dont remember where I was going) but there was about 5 or 6 of us all doing 90 or so. I was last in the group and decided to chill out and good thing I did. A state trooper passed me doing at least 120! Yup he caught up with the rest of them and pulled them all over LOL

But he did shake his finger at me as I drove by

For me its usually 10 or 15 over, unless its a back road and i pretty much know where the cops will be, then ill go 15 over. Its weird but, in some areas in my area where the speed limit is 30, 40 seems to be more appropriate so i go 40. Or if its 40 (like 'the hill' in my town, 50 seems more appropriate so i go 50. I kinda feel like they lower the speed limit by 10 on purpose even tho the 10 over seems to not be excessive for that particular area. lol

I think i stated this way back in an earlier post, but when its winter time, i turn into Grandma. lol Sliding in the snow scares the hell outta me so i will almost literally crawl. haha I dont care if i have 4o cars behind me,,,tooooooo bad! LOL

You guys are all too funny

You'd never ride with me again if we took it to the track. Fortunately, the seats are leather and any deposits left behind from being scared ****less, are readily wiped away with leather cleaner. that is, if you trust me.

Tell ya what. I'll drive 30mph to a racetrack of your choosing. You elect to ride with me during a run, and we'll see if you still think you can show me any tricks driving a lil ole mustang....

Lighthouse.... pass the whine, cheese, and crackers please to our guests, they look apprehensive with baited breath. I'll keep my car at 30, you follow We'll watch while our friends support terrorism buying expensive gas and disobey highway traffic safety laws

Forget about riding in it. I want to drive! Hand the keys over and close your eyes, you're not going to want to watch this.

Hmmm. women are not typically good drivers when given so much power at one time. They get over zealous and are a danger to society (exceptions of course, like Lighthouselady)

YMA, I would suggest we start you out slow, in perhaps a stick shift motor scooter first to see how you handle that. Once mastered, we bump you up into a 4 cyl. riceburner. And then, we give you the keys to a Malibu.

Only big boys can have big toys.

You assume I haven't driven anything faster than a mini van? Tsk tsk.
I would bet not only could I handle it, but given the chance beat you in a race!
