I remember the first soft porn images were looking at the Sears Penneys and Montgomery Ward catologs under the under and bras sections and those women always had big smile on their faces. They also had children possed in underwear which could be considered kiddy porn. Historically states with strict porn laws also have higher rates of sex crimes then those without. Why because men can twist one off to relieve themselves and not be a danger to women. Its kind of like reducing the steam built up.   | |

Handling it...why freak out and drive them underground? They are gonna look anyways. As far as teens "netsexing" or sending shots to each other by camphones...it's gonna happen. try to make sure they have some respect for themselves, so that it doesn't get too far out of hand. Otherwise...they'll go off and do much worse on their own without your guidance.

You don't have to address that you know he has pictures. Bring it up as though you just read or heard the story and thought he might want that information.
I'd bet a lot of teens school reputations are ruined by pictures getting in to the wrong hands. To most 16 year olds, that means everything.
As far as naked pictures to masturbate to, there is nothing wrong with that at 16 as long as it doesn't depict illegal activity. Although, I would be concerned if it were heavily kinky. Most boys are satisfied with boobs. | |

The boys my daughter went to school with couldn't wait for the Victoria's Secret catalogs to come. Now with the internet, webcams & cell phones, its a whole different ballgame. I certainly do not envy my daughter when her daughter gets to be that age! But I really do think the key is being open with your kids and letting them know its all part of growing up, finding their own sexuality - - don't hope their school has those talks with them just because you are too embarassed. Just because you have done something in your past does not necessarily make it OK for your child to do it. Just be honest with them. | |

Sex, sexuality, sexual exploration etc. are all very natural, and very normal; however, if it's on a computer, or device, in your home; things could get very ugly.
It's also critical to point out to your children that digital pics taken in your home today, could be distributed globally in a matter of hours; and be in existance forever; way unlike the polaroids we used to take, LOL.
Just be careful; and let your kids know to be very careful; it could have serious ramifications on their political or business careers a few years from now. | |

I love the pictures I have taken with previous lovers, I find them sexy and enjoyable. So natural sexual development for my children I suppose should say that I give some space and if they ask, advice. | |

This totally depends on the individuals and how openly they normally discuss stuff like this.
My 17yr old is fine with talking to me about his sex life... more comfortable than I am about hearing it! I have to tell him to think before he goes any further so he can spare me the graphic details!
He tells me funny stories, he tells me how he has shown respect to a girl, and if a girl reacts in a way he doesn't understand(emotionally usually, but sometimes the context is sexual) then he'll ask my advice on it.
We actually talk easier about that stuff than our expectations of each other (like housework responsibilities!) because its removed, about a third party.
I dont tell him details of my sex life like he tells me though he knows how serious I am getting with any BFs, I dont want to be in the position of ever wanting to live together with someone and having to tell a son to whom doesn't even know I've got a BF in my life!
There are no generic rules right for everyone, and I dont know if I would feel any different about this even if his Dad were not a worse influence than none at all.
I'm glad he can talk to me about such things, and I believe my son is emotionally stronger for it. Hopefully he wont have so many issues vocalising his feelings to a woman as many men do.
Lol. In answer to the thread, young lads will always be curious about porn, and feel embarrassed if they have to tell their mates they haven't seen it. There is pressure to know a lot about sex, and what you enjoy etc. There is nothing wrong with porn unless their lives are revolving around it. Its about perspective and proportion...

(back then these mags were mostly curves and breasts) -after we oogled the small pictures and instantly fell in love with this colorful creature with hair, breasts and fingernails that took 3 fold out pages to show. we then usually read every article, joke and memorized every liquor ad to become the sort of man who not only reads but the one who owns playboy inc.

Would your friend prefer the alternatives to what is a perfectly normal and healthy self-respectful option over getting some 15 y/o girl pregnant?
As for your pics, topless or otherwise, photographing the naked or semi-nude human body? I consider the camera a wonderful device for capturing if not inspiring greater art ...and well, if you still have it for a body, technique, and desire to put it to better use, why not?
Children are growing up faster than we ever did, but the concern is just what is up these days. W/o adults being discreet, children will not learn what this means. Has my son yet discovered what I have for 'body art'? No, and he won't. Even if he's quite adept around any computer. Time to install a CD-burner and flush out what I'd be prepared to talk about for sex, selectivity, and discretion.
