Posted: 4/23/2008 6:04:12 AM | ^^^^ Daydreamer...its true I do get to watch TV when Im not working....the suburb in Melbourne where Ive picked up some part time work...is reknown for two very well known employers in the area, both in the Adult Entertainment industry. Both employers have a tendency to employ Uni students like myself.
One is a club which allows clients to indulge in their fetishes including BDSM and one is a company dealing with pay TV....which one do you think I work at ?, that allows me to crack a whip and watch TV at the same time ??????  and you know me, could be either !!!

Talking from a guys point of view only I dont believe women should be forced into this position and neither should men (i dont know a greta deal about that side of it)
But i believe if a person makes their own choice to follow that road then it is their choice to do so and the moral police should not interfere
If people are forced into that way of life then as a society we should be able to support and prevent that avenue of life.

A lot of people get to tied up in philospgical/religious twaddle and forget a few basic tenents of human need/behavior.
Everyone wants to feel wanted, valued, cared about. Needed, validated. Including guys. Guys need to have their value, or worth validated. Humans are kinesthetic creatures, we like to be touched. It gives us a feeling of self worth, value, validation. A sense of, yes I am alright, people like me. I am ok.
The modern world is one where superficiality reigns supreme, look at the glossy mags, the media, Hollywoood. Looks are EVERYTHING. The world is obsessed by sex, its everywhere, on tv, in the movies, sells everything from cars to power tools.
The very society we live in is becoming more competative, faster, tougher. More mercenary. We compete for everything, jobs, prestige, females. procreation. Its the modern version of survival of the fittest. Unfortunately its transfered into the expectation of females of what they are looking for in a mate. We all dont look like George Clooney.
Goodlooking girls dont need the services of a sex worker, they can get sex(validation) anywhere. Same goes for attractive (ie HOT) guys, females are constantly offering sex to them. I see it in my group of friends.
The more average guy has a much tougher battle, POF itself is a microchosm of society in general. The average guy can write 100 emails to get a single date. females in general appear much more mercenary and their expectations of what a guy should look like or be is unfortunatly not what most guys can achieve. Going ino a dating site like POF and otherscan be very damaging to a guys selfesteem. The number of rejections, and manner of such is the key. Many guys no longer believe they can offer to females what they want.
Is going to a prostitute ALL about getting your rocks off? NO. its about having the attention of a female, who listens to you, lends a sympathetic ear. A skilled sex worker will make her client feel sexy, valued, worth something, desireable. The touching, caressing, cuddling, and in somecases kissing, its not entirely a sexual thing. Its all about validation. Yes, maybe I am OK afterall.
I have a close friend who is a sex worker, masters degree educated, has her house paid off, drives a Mercedes, kids being educated at a private school. I would not call her a victim. In many ways, she has done more good for people than a whole system of psychologists. It would be frightening to think how many guys she has prevented from committing suicide.
So all those religious people, get off your doctrine driven high horse and look at the human side of things. | |
