Posted: 6/11/2008 3:29:11 PM | | Id agree with the masses. COD4 and GTA4 are probably the hottest/funnest games to play if you were playing Halo and already have Rainbow Six. I was really into Halo, but I agree its gotten severely played out. Noones on their first account, so the ranking is usually jacked and it seems all I play with anymore is punk 10 year olds. Wow I just noticed the date on this thread is in April, ha. Noones probably looking at this anymore. Oh well Im a noob here anyways. I really enjoyed the gameplay in COD, the graphics are sweet and the mission mode is (easy) fun- the player control is alot different from halo though, so get ready for that. | |

Posted: 6/12/2008 6:54:35 AM | Currently playing Rock Band which is great fun, Ninja Gaiden 2 which is awesome although very hard, Condemned 2 Bloodshot which is dead creepy and great to play late at night with the sound up and the lights off and the forensics stuff in it is way better this time round 
Also been hammering the Battlefield Bad Company demo, was really laggy at first which put me off and really bugged me since i was a massive Modern Combat fan, luckily its gotten alot better now and is just the coolest FPS of the moment especialy for online, the destructable enviroments just make it a completely different experience to the likes of COD4, someones hiding in a building no probs just blow the side of the building up and there hiding no more  , cant wait til the end of the month for the full game.
Played through GTA4 and had a laugh with it online but gota say its the biggest dissapointment for such an anticipated game, to much has been taken out and the focus has shifted to the story and slightly more realistic approach to much i think, yeah GTA's allways have good and interesting storys and funny characters and this ones no different, Niko Bellic is a brilliant character and very very funny with his sarcastic comments during the cut scenes although i gota say Brucy is the show stealer for me he is just too funny, problem i got with it is the lack of content in terms of play things, i know they had to tone it down because of the somewhat more realistic look due to the better graphics so the chainsaw and the samurai sword had to go but why the need to take out the head shots taking someones head off?, also you can no longer smash up vehicles with a bat which was implemented way back in Vice City and the list of vehicles that has been removed is to big to list them all but i will mention the fact that there is no Tank when GTA has allways had a tank and there is no Jetpack or Appache Helicopter or Harrier or Hover Craft or even Bycycles and the biggest crime of all that has been commited in Liberty City there is no Parachute, half the fun of the helicopters or getting onto sky scrapers was using your parachute to get down, basicaly with all those things removed it means the games sandbox element that gave you hours of fun just screwing around has gone since driving cars and riding bikes away from the police only keeps you amused for so long and were not going to get any of the things mentioned above back through download content because the content is Episodic so its clearly just going to be more story missions and nothing more and even that exclusive to the X360 content has been put back to first quater of 2009 because they have made enough money for the moment with the game.
Soz if i went on abit there i kinda got carried away , one last thing though to the guy who mentioned Bioshock a couple of posts back, dont get to excited about the film version because its going to be made and released to coincide with the 3rd game and since a 2nd has'nt even been confirmed the film is obviously a good 3 years away at the least  | |

Ah nuts. On the plus side..... 2 more Bioshocks that sounds interesting. I hear number 2 is to be a prequel, I wonder how that will play out.
So did anyone else have a moral conundrum with harvesting the little sisters? I couldn't do it.... I even sat there for about a minute, saying to myself "its only a game, its only a game". | |

Cant say i've ever had an issue with killing anyone in a video game, tend to find killing friendlys more satisfying anyway as their mostly dumb and annoying and mostly get you killed if you have to keep them alive, i'm talking more like side kicks though than the little sisters in Bioshock

I'm currently playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 a lot right now as well as trying to get back into COD4 a little more.
Also, I've completed Mass Effect 4 times now and enjoy picking it back up again from time to time. I'm kind of bored with Halo 3. Too many punks and not enough fun. I may give it a try again when the new maps are released April 15th. | |

The game apparently has 3 different endings based on how you dealt with the little sisters. If you harmed none you would get one ending, if you harmed 1 or 2 you would get another, and 3+ would give you the third ending.

There is no doubt that the gumby AI sucks in most games.... "lets run across his line of fire, that seems like a great idea!" I dunno, I'm still sensitive to certain moral choices in some games.... depending on the game of course. If its in a comedic style... aka Overlord, or Dungeon Keeper, than I don't mind playing the evil types. If its more serious I tend to have a harder time with it.
Can someone tell me how to quote on these forums though ?
you have to use the square brackets at the start with quote inside [ quo..] and then cut and paste what your quoting, and then use the square brackets again with a backslash to end quote [/quo..], hope that makes sense. | |

I've nearly done all the missions on WaW on veteran, just a couple more ^.^ only bought COD4 a few days ago, so I'm only on my 5th mission. Prefer WaW on deathmatch because I know the maps better :) | |

Most recently I'm addicted to Overlord. Found in on a sale shelf and thought "what the hell, something new" and it's awesomely funny. And now I have to get it beat since the second one is coming out!

Myself, as far as multiplayer, I mainstay my favorites: Halo 3, CoD4, CoD WaW, and Halo Wars.
Mass Effect is still fun to play, It's what's taking up most of my gaming time nowadays. Im always the good guy though; can't stand to be an ass in it :o
