While it was unhid, I got quite a few replies, and now I am finished taking applications for the time being as I date some of the women who contacted me, and see what they are like, and whether there are any sparks with them. If nothing pans out with them, I will unhide my profile, and begin again. | |

Posted: 7/18/2008 7:40:18 PM | Sneaky = bad, OP. If PoF was always the first thing in his dropdown menu, I'd find it hard to believe he was just reading the forums if he wasn't also posting in them. It's possible, but not probable.
Personally, I've become far more interested in the forums than the email/dating section of the site recently, but until I agree to a mutually exclusive relationship, I see no reason to hide or change my profile. | |

This is an old thread dredged up and I don't think she cares anymore honestly. Does anyone have any new thoughts or questions in general about why people hide profiles? It is a great topic but when your just talking straight to the OP it seems strange. You address the OP's topic always not her necessarily. That's why we keep these old threads so the topic is available.
I hide my profile for instance when I get in an exclusive relationship on here. In the early stages there is no reason to delete it. I change the status to not single/not looking and always hid my profile as I still posted in the forums. I made it very clear in my profile not to contact me for anything except forum stuff as I had so many friends here.
Not sure how this will work now as a moderator I won't be able to hide my profile so we will cross that bridge again when it comes up. (long sigh...)
