Stamkos for Luongo?

I would love to see the Sedine Twins traded, by the time they make impact on the Canucks, I will be in a Wheelchair, collecting senior disability cheque, and that's way too long to see if possible talent will ever come out of them.

As for Luongo, amazing goalie with lots of talent. I did find this year, he was distracted, especially after his child was born. If having unsupportive wife that won't move to my beautiful city, is holding him back in his playing, he needs make a choice in what he wants in life. I highly doubt his wife doesn't enjoy the nice lifestyle that her husband is providing, and nothing is stopping her in living in our city. As for being traded, I've heard discussion, but the Canucks will be keeping him until his contract runs out. What I could see the Canucks doing, is trading him in mid season, if his playing is below his level of standard, and to a team that wouldn't be florida. I gather his wife won't be happy, it that happens. A life of a professional athlete...

He already did, with two words ... "I do"

I don't believe Vancouver is a goalie graveyard. The curse ended when we got Luongo a couple years ago. I honestly believe that the canucks could be a contender with a few signings and trades next year. If we end up being a non-playoff team by trade deadline I can see Luongo being dealt. Unless we get grossly overpaid for Luongo(Im talking Stamkos AND Lecavalier overpaid) a trade won't happen in the summer. I can see one happening either at this deadline or next summer. I think the Sedins are the ones that are going to go this summer. Sedins + Ohlund = Jokinen + Horton. A trade I would make in a heartbeat.

yeah you would make the trade cause its one sided and a pipedream. its already been said the sisters for jokinen. if you want horton your looking at a sister+1st round pick for them.

Hmmm .... did you happen to see the Vezina finalists? One year in Vancouver and Luongo is already out of the top-three. Some would say he has dropped out of the top 5 in the league,

How can you say the curse ended when you got Luongo? You had more issues with your goalie down the stretch this since than you ever did even with Cloutier in net!

He was distracted. When your wife is preggers 4000 miles away and has been due for over a month it can be distracting. I honestly feel Luongo's play late in the season was because of his wife and baby. He's a top 3 goalie. Last year he was #1 in the league. I dont care if Brodeur got the vezina last year. Luongo deserved it more. Not much more though.
