what a great ride,,was gonna brink the gpz900r because of the rain cos its got the best tyres, but since i flew to sydney 3 weeks ago to buy the old 650 yammy i havent ridden the kwaka and the bike slowly turned over and didn't start now not possessing a hill or a kickstarter i put the kwaka away and wheeled out the 650,kicked her into life and off i go from currumbin up to the shell at robina .NMert a pillion as everyone was leaving, gave another lady my spare helmet and off we went up springbrook. Dropped way behind after coffee at canyon lookout, warming up at the fire after i livened it up a bit,We came out to find everybody gone,no worries i thought i ride these roads all the time,we will round them up somewhere. So we ,my pillion for the day robyn and myself, turned left at the summit of springbrook and went across to join the road that goes from murwillumbah to nerang, got onto that and went thru the big sweepers past advancetown pub(not knowing we were stopping there 4 lunch.)We turned left at the top of the hill and headed up the twisties to beechmont ,theres a nice little convenience store therethat does real good chips and burgers,so we stopped there for a feed of chips and a drink,i rang eagle heights pub ,as it was about 1pm and expected the crew to be there, lady on the phone said no.but she'd keep a lookout and let youse know we were on our way.So we start heading for canungra, and not too far out of canungra my old TX650 starts getting swarmed with sports- bikes passing me so i let em go then give chase(within reason of course) .we stop at the lights for the one-way thru the goat track up to tamborine and i ask a guy next to me if theyre the fish crew?? Yes he says , and i wonder how we got to go from last to first without overtaking anybody.Arrive at the eagle heights pub,get a nice cup of coffee and a harley rider says where youse been we been here for hours. So it seems we all made it there by various means and varied roads and different stops along the way.But what the heck we all had a great day and got to meet real people and enjoy the company of like -minded souls.Bring on the next one.I only actually chanced on the ride the night before when on POF replying to an email.Talking about which,a lot of the ladies i try to contact i get a message that they dont wanna hear from my type as im looking for an intimate meeting among other things. An interesting point i tried to contact my pillion and was refused for that reason and she wasnt aware of the block,so im thinking it may be a default setting. So ladies check your settings please cos its real hard to say hi on the computer if the system wont allow it.Thanks again to the organisers ,its a mammoth effort trying to keep such a large number of riders on track, and at the end of the day i know we had a ball and trust so did everyone else..........................TTFN...Chris aka motorbikerx

Bucky you don't need a bike, you can hitch with of the other riders or come in the cars with those of us that don't on the bikes. So don't let not having a bike stop you from enjoying the day with the rest of us, it really is a good day.

To each his own Motorbiker...whatever rocks your boat. When it comes to the 'intimate encounters' setting, it seems to mean that that is the sole reason for meeting up. Of course, when it comes to an intimate meeting, it sort of goes without saying as that is usually part of a relationship, but we just like to go through the lead up to it! Call us old fashioned..

hey no offence, my profile also lays it on the line, like it or lump it and I've often thought the same thing about myself, maybe its too much information/intimidating or whatever, I just thought (out loud lol as I do) that maybe that would scare more women off than the intimate encounter thing, that fear of the unknown element, but I guess it separates the sheep from the goats so to speak

Hey Soulmate...looks like the weather God read your post cos the sun is shining and it's a perfect maket day. If you catch this before going, come to the Sports Club after 3.30 for Pluckers - a jam session with loads of local musos, on the back verandah. There simply is no better way to waste a Sunday arvo

Will keep my eyes open...I have my cute little girl plaits on today. I'll be the one in the corner spinning plates in time with the music. That'll keep me out of trouble.

soulmate...right back atcha! Couldn't believe you were the first person I saw as I pulled up

Was great to meet and have a yak...hard for me to concentrate with all the music as well...but I am sure you'll agree, it IS the best way to waste a Sunday arvo. And I think all the PoF'ers should definitely do what we suggested.....ride to the Channon markets, and polish off the arvo with Pluckers and Poets at Dunoon....then fall asleep at my place if they need to....

Have read your message to my kids - they are all grinning - there are nine of them here this morning, and I've just done the hot chocolate, bacon and eggs thing...time for me to have a coffee (And I can't fit all of them in the wardrobe, so I think I'll just get in it myself!)

So BW, we could ride down Saturday arvo, have a few drinks somewhere there, crash at your place, then head off to the markets Sunday with a sore head and finish up at Dunoon, then ride home?

That'd work. I could off-load the kids to my folks.....told Dad about the propsed ride to Tenterfield, he asked whose pushie I was gonna borrow! Like I could ride a pushbike all the way to Tenterfiled - gotta love parents, doncha

If loads of people come, I might be able to get permission from the farmer next door to put some tents up there - if people wanted to do that. Would work best for me in one of the school hols. (Not these ones!)

.. hi bw..
well im not sure re holidays with market sunday included... would that be july sunday 13th?
do they have any accomadation at dunoon?..... if not.... if people came down through the road that ends at my village.. ... theres pub accomadation there.. if anyone dosent want to camp in winter.... but also if you wanted to come over on the saturday arvo bw.. people could meet there... then follow you out to your village in the arvo? then they could get to your village in light..
set up camp then they could kickback for the night without having to worry re drink riding/driving?just an idea... get 2 visit two villages... that way and i can meet some people too.. ( i wouldnt be able to go out to dunoon saturday night... ) re i cant stay overnight. but also too damn cold plus drink/driving aspect..
and im sure i can ask market organiser if we can put up a pof sign .. on oval in front of the band at the markets....... where people could also from lismore/ballina etc if they want to join in could meet there...
also bw..lol... surely you know the single men and woman in your village?,....(i still want to know if that muso is single.... i dont like checking out guys unless i know they 100% are..)
maybe let them know...... and they might like to come join in or even join pof...
Im pretty behind in village details here .. i usually find out who did what/when where years later..lol.
but i could keep my eyes/ears open for any single woman....
smiles/peace

I was heading to the Channon markets last Sunday, but my car was stolen on Saturday night (still not found) and it would of been great to meet up with you Souly and Bewitched, so if it's ok with everyone else I would be happy to catch up when you all get together.
PS; Try the Lemon scented myrtle ice cream it's delicious.
