just some of us talking...... about maybe 1 day the qslanders might like to come visit this area 1 day... and maybe see if the surrounding areas...
like lismore/ballina/alstonville/lennox etc might be interested in making a day of it...
basically its close enough for tweed heads....gold coast etc also..
no date has been set.... nor anything officially planned.......
the channon markets are every 2nd sunday of each month ......(only once a month)...unless it rains
and bw mentioned school holidays might be better for her.... so july was mentioned only as a school holiday and markets day.... are timed/combined .....being together...
but no date or plans are set...
And it would depend really if anyone was even interested...
its a suggestion just for a nice day out to meet some nice people... and something a little different...(channon craft markets are very laid back unique days).... and on that same day at BW village theres a nice sports club that over looks an oval.. big verandah... cheaper drinks and musicians (very talented) get together and play some great music... poets can recite as well.. so basically if anyone is a muso they could if they wanted to ... take a turn..
and good luck and have much fun on the may ride... and june long weekend trip .... that are planned..

I do know the boys in blue... when you say ohh thank god the strippers have arrived... wheres the music?...
one cop said to me once.... yer how much did you pay? and looked at his overweight tummy.. i said its nimbin... not much is expected..
usually get a laff ... but I guess that day they wouldnt of.
well daydreamer.. if you talking to any locals on pof... maybe see if anyone interested.. ive mentioned it to you and 1 other.. but he didnt really comment.. id like to see more people even sign up to pof and get to know some people here first as well etc...
be great though to get everyone in the northern area..around here for a meet..
and yes mardi gras in may ... usually bedlam around there though..
as in finding a place to sleep etc..
anyway Bw hasnt said when a good time for her is... yet..

Posted: 4/16/2008 4:03:27 PM | Hi mainey.. its.... 179.91 kms from brisbane to nimbin (2hrs 14mins)...
then 17.33 kms (11mins so they say.. seems to take me ages but i drive really really slow on the bends) from nimbin to the channon
i reckon it takes me 20 mins to a half hr though..
heres a free website... mapmaker .... you just type in destination and where your starting from ..it gives you the map... the time and the kms..
I suggested the brissy to nimbin road/trip b/c theres alot of nice bends on the way ... for riders pleasure.. plus straight highway.... and its a nice view...
Ive never done brissy to dunoon road it might be nicer? i have no idea... its (195kms from dunooon to brissy) 2hrs and 15mins..
And if people are meeting after markets at dunoon.. to be all in 1 place... leaving from dunoon would give a different riding experience on return trip.
i wouldnt go off their times though./..b/c with another 20kms on from dunnon they estimate about the same time?.... i dont know if they take into account road conditions etc...... or est from kms..... it might be more strectch/highway from dunnoon to brissy rd...
and i think BW is hosting the event... at dunoon. but ill back her up as much as i can... just waiting to hear from BW...
