| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/12/2008 4:53:46 AM | I'd be curious to see you, an anonymous fat man on the internet, make me keep my mouth shut. The fact of the matter is, you know nothing about this sport, yet intend on bashing it. I wouldn't come into a thread you were posting in if I didn't know anything about it....I'm thinking it would be something along the lines of "eating because you're lonely."
As for "mouthing off to the wrong guy"....it's the internet, bud. I don't exactly see you wasting the time, money, or effort to come track me down for my comments, so I can feel free to say whatever I want.

| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/12/2008 3:06:47 PM | Your full of shit really you are
And think you know too much
You said it'S SPORT martial arts is no SPORT UFC & MMA as no real MARTIAL ARTS IN IT but if you know then you know but if you don't then you DON'T
As for the fat man shit you would not last 30 secs as i do real martial arts and ex legion but call me what you like AS we get wankers here too
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/12/2008 3:14:54 PM | | Since you live in England I can imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find an MMA club and go there to show them your skills? Maybe you could set up a sparring match with Micheal Bisping and videotape it for us to see? We'll be waiting. | |
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/12/2008 7:34:32 PM | I wouldn't last 30 seconds? I compete, big guy. Both in kickboxing, jiu jitsu, as well as MMA. I'm sporting a 4-0 amateur MMA record with none of my fights getting out of the first round. Don't call my credentials into question, because you look like a fool.
You're another traditional martial arts douche who thinks that the dim mak is real because of all the bullshit you've been fed over the years. Now drop down to your little horse stance and throw some punches from your waist. Let the real men talk about this sport.
You have SUCH a hard-on for MMA....I've looked through your posts. If you don't like it, how about you keep your ignorant ass out of threads dedicated to it?
I really like the guy's idea of having you go to a MMA gym over there in England and having you challenge one of them to a sparring match. I'd be curious to see how far your wang chung and cardio kickboxing gets you then.
As for you apparently denying your obesity, get real. I'll bet typing that post alone made you winded.

| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/12/2008 7:42:04 PM | Johnathan:
Where do you train? Who are your instructors? I see you live in Indiana.........ever compete in any BJJ tourneys? Grapplers Quest or anything?

| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/12/2008 10:12:36 PM | I'm actually getting ready to start up at a new place now...I lived out in VA for a while and got started at Hybrid Academy and just recently moved back here and I'll be starting at Big Bully Martial Arts...not any real big names there, but Scott Henze is the guy that runs it.
I've done some lower level BJJ tournaments, but not anything big like GQ.

| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/13/2008 6:11:25 PM | Wadoman,
Ya know if you like the WWE that is fine like it, its mostly a man's soap opera...but do I put it down...NO...reason I was a daddy's girl and was all into it until he died...YES I agree everyone has a right to their own opinion....If you chose to be an addict with something so be it...I like watching the UFC fights and cant wait to be able to get some friends together to go see some live cage fighting here in VA...but hey that's my choice...If you chose to go to every Star Trek event that you could find that would be your choice...No one puts anyone down for what they chose to do...Why judge something you dont care for? I dont care for alot of things but I dont judge those that like to watch, attend, join, etc...You do have a right to your opinion....but no need to hate...which is what you are doing...and it is wrong!

| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/14/2008 12:46:31 AM | | And you're still a troll throwing out lame insults and sending me messages on here to tell me how "full of shit" I am. Get a life, tubby. | |

|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/14/2008 3:11:38 PM | | I'm done arguing with you, you ignorant twat. Seems to me like that's a threat, which is going to get you reported. You know nothing about the sport, and just bash it because it's better than traditional martial arts, and you're jealous that your overweight ass can't participate in anything beyond water-karate designed for fatasses that can't bear any weight on their knees. | |
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/15/2008 6:47:29 AM | | listen here you fat****ucker, just shut the **** up, seriously. ou're ****ing is annoying as ****, and youve probably got bigger tits than pam anderson, s dont tell anyone else they couldnt last 30 seconds, when you couldnt even jog for 30 seconds, youd gas so fast youd be laying on your fat back praying not to be punched in your fat head. how can you say MMA isnt a martial art, when it combines aspects from ALL martial arts you idiot. MMA athletes are the best rounded martial artists period. other athletes may be good at one martial art, these guys are good at many. how ****ing stupid are you, seriously? | |
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/16/2008 2:48:02 AM | gsp is being called "the best welter weight of all time" me being a welter weight i would not want to fight gsp | |
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/16/2008 8:19:20 AM | Well, GSP is really making a case for all time greatness. I think he should be making it at middleweight, but then I hate all the weight cutting bullshit anyway. The thing with GSP is that he not only beats top fighters, he makes them look like they're in the wrong sport. That leaves an impression.
Matt Hughes is a hall of fame lock, and in 2 of the three fights, he looked like he didn't even belong in the same building. The second Serra fight, Trigg, Koscheck, Sherk (who again, was far outsized, but still). He's definitely the man to beat. He's got Jon Fitch next, I think. That should be a whole thing unto itself.

| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/16/2008 11:53:03 AM |
Well, GSP is really making a case for all time greatness.
I agree that he'll probably go down as one of the best, but before this statement can be true he needs to defend his title successfully. He has not done this once.
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/16/2008 1:27:16 PM | | This is very true. However, if he spent the next ten years losing the belt, getting a rematch, and totally destroying the guy who beat him, over and over, well ... that'd be pretty great. Heh. | |
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/16/2008 1:57:21 PM | The trolling is mildly amusing as UFC began by pitting pure forms of martial arts vs. other pure forms. Over time, those who stuck to the pure forms were weeded out as being a cut below the rest, while those who adopted the habits of the generalist rose to the top.
That wasn't by accident or design. It was a learning lesson... for those wise enough to take heed.
Anyway, seeing a GSP vs. Silva or GSP vs. Penn wold definitely be something. But I agree that he needs to successfully defend his title first... just to see how his psychological fitness stands up. Not too many true contenders left for him to defend it against though!
|
| UFC 83 GSP vs Matt Serra Posted: 5/19/2008 8:05:36 PM | | And John Fitch is a stud. This will not be easy for GSP, I think.........he'll win, but Fitch is no-ones *****. | |
