DW I too am amazed at the many Clinton faithful that have jumped onto the Obama bandwagon.. with all the Power and prestige that the Clintons have had over the years it truly amazes me... political careers might be at stake here because I believe Hillary is the type that would seek revenge.

I agree, we need Obama.. I just hope that IF he wins the CIC position that he will be smart about leaving Iraq. I just think Iraq's stability is so important to the Middle East present and future. I just hope he has a "Plan" and is smart enough to know that plans do change depending on the activity on the ground.

I thought so too but doesn't it strike you as a little odd when NONE of the neighboring Middle Eastern countries are jumping right into Iraq to help stabilize it? Why do you suppose that is?

If I were SD's, I wouldn't worry about Hillary so much. I would not be surprised if the sham of a campaign she's run won't put her seat in Congress as tenuous.

Yes, it has also shocked me how many Clinton people are converting to Obama. But, I was originally a Clinton fan. Her character has completely turned me off. If she is on the ticket I will not vote for her.

It reminds me of Bush in office.

If you remember he had Powell, Ron Paige and his spiritual advisor was Caldwell out of Houston. They have all stepped aside. Many middle/upper class African Americans voted for Bush in Texas, because he was our governor.

He also promoted each of those men (African Americans). All of whom have quietly stepped down. That tells you something. If they were there to help him into office, why now have they slowly stepped out of the picture.

I am an administrator. If they move me to another school and no one follows me, that tells you something about me. But, if majority of my staff wants to transfer and go with me, then that tells you something as well.

I pray that I have used all the correct grammar. I keep forgetting what I post is subject to the level of a graduate thesis instead of a person just typing thoughts.

"sham campaign" LOL
34 retired generals and admirals including two chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have endorsed Hillary, not to mention John Murtha, and all those pesky big states !

I pray that I have used all the correct grammar

your prayers have been answered- actually a long time ago, it's called spell check

faith2565 it's not surprising really. I can understand how they'd become disenchanted with her after watching how she's run this campaign. It's been a train wreck from the beginning.

Hey Blues, that is a very good watch you posted!! Wait till 5 years from now and we see all the crap that we suckered for from bush. Worse wait until after these people die if if we really want to hear all the treachery, murder, and violations of the law and constitution at every corner.

Its not different now, today. Obama is not going to save us, mccain's past records have been buried, bill clinton ran the largest drug ring in this country has ever known, second only to the cia.

Vote rigging in both clinton and bush elections, bush being elected by the SCOTUS not the people yet look at all the chatter about these people as if we are bringing in a new year with fresh hope!! woo hoo!!! same ole shit different day.

Possibly the biggest tragedy is that only us internet people even have the opportunity to know the difference as the media will never broadcast it and the greater majority of the public is non the wiser.

The reality is that people are not leaving Clinton because she has done something they don't like or whatever, they are leaving because of self preservation and no sense of honor or loyalty.....the media has spun this election process since so much making it seem inevitable that Obama will win the nomination.

Why would they do that consideing America caused the mayhem there ? And no chance of stabilising it since you watch from afar while it burns on the ground and revenge in their hearts and minds .

Its more logical to ask why doesn't Nigeria /Kenya/Zimbabwe sort out Sudan .

We need more guys like Carter who have the balls to go over to the Middle East and work for peace. It takes more balls to wage peace than it does to wage war! And it's better in the long run for encouraging democracy.

Obama would more likely work like Carter did to promote peace in the Middle East. McInsane would make matters worse by waging even more war, and Clinton has her head up her butt, so that leaves us with Obama. He's our best chance to bring about peace in this world.

lol, yeah, the guy who hangs out with terrorists is the perfect man for world peace. I hope obama gets elected, although he won't, but I hope he does. it will be so much more entertaining to laugh and all the sheep who jumped on his bandwagon. if 9-11 happened during an obama presidency, he would be hiding in his mansion in chicago with his wife and all their billionaire friends.

Hey Insolent1, Once again you missed the point, lol. I was taking a jab at you for fun and to pose an interesting question which you havent answered yet.

This country has been run by nothing but wealthy White men who could give an Ass Rats about neither YOU, or ME, A.K.A White nor Black.
Take the Racial Blinders off for a minute and ask yourself;

??What has the White Presidents done to help me, and what have they done to hurt me??

The economic and foreign policies of just the last three administrations have done more to hurt Everyone and have bennifitted only the rich and influential (You know, the people who lobby government to do the opposite of what's rite for You and I.)

Out of control Military spending, NAFTA, Iraq war, Tax cuts for rich, record deficits, job outsourcing, assinign costs of medical care, housing market debacle, ect ect.

Once again what does any of this have to do with what Obama believes or what his agenda may be? every time any one questions Obamas beliefs or anything, Obama supporters try to point the finger elsewhere...once again, does Obama attend an ethnocentric church? Is their priority the Black Community? Has he spent his career thus far concentrating on helping the Black Community? Yes or No.......of course we all are aware that inner city/disenfranchised/poor are common code words for the "Black Community" in todays vernacular...

Only in your Vernacular Insolent, but those as you say "code words" describe everyone in this country who is not filthy rich, with 100 percent medical care.
I work in NYC, and trust me, there are more white people than anybody else here. just as in the rest of the country.

Barack Obama has stated what he believes over and over again, He has a website which goes into details about what he wants to do for America if elected and no where in it is he more supportive of one race or gender over another. For that matter no where on the campaign trail has he talked about helping one group more than another.

BarackObama.com

Obama supporters such as myself ARE NOT VOTING ON RACE, We are voting for a candidate who offers change and has a good chance of acheiving it via his record of cross party work, and his not being "owned" by Corporate America.

Hillary cant claim the same, and neither can McCain.

Hillary cant even run a campaign well against Obama with all her backing, and she splits the fence between pandering for her corporate sponsers and the working middle class whom she makes promises to for votes. She uses Bill's Popularity to make up for the character she lacks and hopes that people will elect her based on being married to him.
She has been caught lying blatently and repeatedly during the campaign about sniper fire landings with daughter at side, is hiding her tax doccuments which show who's really funding her campaign (Corporate America) yet still has to put her own money up as well. (I suspect "they" will support her just enough in an attempt to take out Obama, then once that happens will shift their funding to the candidate who will really do their bidding..... John McCain)

The comments made by her daughter on the campaign trail "My mother would make a better president than my father" show a little insight into the family and how they feel about Bill.

McCain has shown a complete disregaurd for the majority of Americans who want out of Iraq by wanting to stay there longer with no end in sight, He now sucks up to the same man(Bush Boy) who had the nerve to impune McCains war record in 2000 while himself being AWOL in the national gaurd at that time. And worse of all in my book
McCain sold out his fellow POW's and himself by caving into Bush Boy and all the people who "Own" Bush Boy on the issue of torture.

Anyone so easily manipulated against friends family and even themselves in an attempt to gain power doesnt deserve to be POTUS.

Look at whats going on and realize this is not about Black or White, This is about money and power, verses Poor and abused.
Haves, verses Have nots.
Corporate American Elitests, verses Everyone else.

The Racial divide is being exploited by those who wish to maintain power by dividing the masses into groups to fight among self by those who will rob both sides blind at the end of the day.

Obama Is an American, He is a Black Man, he cannot shed either reality, and his campaign is about helping all Americans including Black's rise up. His Church is a Black Church, in a Black community facing the issues of its mostly Black congregation, and is a microcasm of the larger poor and middle class experience of All Americans who are struggling in this country under the current state of affairs from the point of view of its environment.

The words might be different, but the Anger is common between all races and genders.

When Gas goes up another 15 cents this morning

When the rising cost of diesel (this one I experience daily from both sides of the equation) make the costs of products and services skyrocket

When people see their home devalued, and others loose their homes all together

When we loose jobs and careers in manufacturing and Resident Bush come on TV to tell us we need more education to switch into a Service Economy from a Manufacturing Economy, while at the same time makes it legally and taxably easy for Corporate America to send even the service jobs out of the country

When we cant even afford the high costs of education for ourselves or our children to get the service/office jobs that dont exist

When we and our children will have to swallow the 3+ trillion dollar debt who's creators and their children will never have to worry about

When another Soldier dies in this crap war (4000 +), and countless others come home mamed and mangled, to crap or non existant health care for the sacrifice they made

When we the "have nots", are told by the "have's" that we are doing ok, all the while we are struggling in one form or another and sacrificing our family members, homes, jobs, future, economy, dignity, and respect to make the "have's" Richer and more powerful and dig a hole for ourselves to fall in and die.

Tell me what about any of the Above would make people of any race/gender happy??
Tell me how a room full of people, let alone a country full of people can struggle like this for years and years and not be Bitter and Angry??

Obama supporters have seen enough of the Bullshit being spewed from the mouths of Corporate funded Elitest politicians. The same politicians who want us to swallow the load of crap promises they give us about what they will do when they are already bought and paid for by the same people who have been jerking all of us around.

Obama has out raised McCain and Hillary combined with small donations from "We The People". He is the biggest threat against the Elitest and the one who is still in the race with a chance of winning victory for ALL Races and Genders of "We The People".

"They The Masters" have had their best run ever under Resident Bush and hope to continue doing so under McCain.

(Remember people, "They" Only Need Hillary long enough to take Obama out (the real threat to their hold on power), if "They" can make this happen then they'll quickly dump "Hillary the fense sitter" for McCain who is now firmly in their pocket.

Think about that and then think who has the most to gain by spliting Americans on Racial lines, political lines, religeous lines, and economic lines

Its NOT Obama for sure.
And to top it all off Obama is probably risking his life by going against the grain with the Power Elite, but yet he's in it to win for all of us, and I along with millions gladly support him in his campaign to bring America back to the middle class and poor who built it in the first place.

People like you Insolent, and the rest of the people on this board (even the Canadians) who have an interest in little guy rising to achieve the "dream" without the weight of the Elite standing on our necks.

President Barack Obama, sworn in January of 2009 is step one in Americas Rehabiltation, and Revitalization. then its on us to come together and do whats necessary to rise once the mis managment of Federal Government is finally put in check.

We need more guys like Carter who have the balls to go over to the Middle East and work for peace.

> yes, because his deplorable inaction to terrorism when he was 'president' did us a world of good.

It takes more balls to wage peace than it does to wage war! And it's better in the long run for encouraging democracy.

> while that may make sense and resonate with a local chapter of Code Pink, it doesn't mesh with reality. to wage peace....which made me laugh, by the way, both sides have to be willing to accept terms - tell me something, who the hell runs the terror states? The terrorists? It sure as hell isn't the ruling governments. Remember, many of them have adopted the extremist mindset that anyone or thing that is not Islam, must die. Tell me, how do you engage in diplomacy when the diplomat wants to remove your head?

Obama would more likely work like Carter did to promote peace in the Middle East.

> we know - he's already said he wants to 'sit down and talk' with Kim Jon Il and invade Pakistan.

McInsane would make matters worse by waging even more war,
> his name is John McCain, a decorated and honorable veteran who served his country. His stance on the war is by far, the only reasonable one to date.

and Clinton has her head up her butt,
> on that we agree.

so that leaves us with Obama. He's our best chance to bring about peace in this world.

> through what exactly? hope and change? sorry, if we wanted more empty rhetoric, we could have begged Jimmy Carter to run again. hell, we could call on MA Governor Deval Patrick, who ran on the SAME platform.

No thanks.

I never thought of that. It will be fun to watch all of the obama-ites get dissappointed when they find out that he's just another song on the old play list.

Personally I 'm not thrilled with either of the three candidates .
You have Hillary "The liar" Clinton, Barry "The racist" Obama, and John "Rodham" McCain. All of which are power hungry career politicians who have no ones best interest other than their own and George Soros's. What I would like to see and I know it would work if people would vote is this:
#1 Everyone be they a Congressman or Senator gets a 4 year term and one reelection.
#2 Their pay is based on the average wage of their constituents no pensions no tax exemptions they pay what we pay and no free benefits their time served will go towards civil service time.
#3 Anyone caught taking money from a lobbyist or any special interest group be charged with bribery as will the lobbyist.
#4 A felony conviction is automatic dismissal of their office and a disqualification of eligibility for office.
#5 A complete overhaul of our tax structure is in order. A flat rate tax or a national sales tax not both should be instituted. No more IRS.
#6 All military personnel shall be exempt from income taxes while serving in our armed forces.

Just these few measures would keep the power hungry and the money hungry from wanting to serve and would enable those who really care to step up to the plate. This is not a partisan thing as it will be a government of the people for the people and by the people regardless of party instead of the very rich spending untold riches so they can put their hands in the pockets of the hard working people.
