Posted: 4/14/2008 3:12:16 AM | I guess the reason seduction has a bad name is some areas, like here in the South, seduction was how you got a husband, not what you did to him after you got him.
Thank goodness some of us had a French mother and learned the art of seduction. She could walk into a room and everyman immediately turned and looked and stopped talking to whomever. She just had that kind of presence and looks. I did not get all her good looks unfortunately, but I did learn how to work a room.

Indeed. I think women over 40 can become more and more sexual, less inhibited, more colorful personalities, more desirable human beings to be around.
Why? I don't know but here's a guess. Maybe in their childbearing years women are dominated by their biological drives towards motherhood. Perhaps once that is out of the way they have a better chance to develop personality and unique identity. Hopefully they have racked up enough life experiences to have some interesting things to talk about. They have figured out that they really are O.K. just as they are and no longer feel driven to be homecoming queens or dating material. They are well-rounded human beings with some accomplishments and the ability to feel good about themselves.
Now there will always be the old dudes with thick wallets who want arm candy and go for the trophies. But smart females know that trophies just get their heads hung on the wall while the hunter goes out seeking new prey. The intelligent secure female sees menopause coming if not already there and she has moved on beyond the parenting thing. Yet with luck her sexuality isn't over; it's just starting to blossom, as Aristotle recognized (he says women of 40 should match up with 18-year-old men.)
Yesterday I watched the YouTube video clip of Sally Field giving her speech at the Emmy awards last September. I fell instantly in love with her, because she is so alive and so passionate. If you see it be sure to see the uncensored version. It is amazing that Sally Field is over 60 yet really has what it takes to turn a man on even more than Gidget. Frankly, if I had the chance, I would love to make her mine for a while. Really, age is just a number, and women can in fact get better and better with age and I suppose around 40 is the major turning point. | |

However, It can also mean finding a mutual attraction and deepening a connection with someone that you think well of. To me, it means talking to a lady and showing interest in her. Genuine interest, not false flattery. False flattery just goes nowhere. It's much easier to be sincere at my age than it was when I was in my 20's and looking for a physical liaison.
There is a lot to be said for romance. A nice restaurant with a conducive atmosphere or a quiet evening with soft music and soft light goes a long way toward seducing and being seduced.
But when all is said, the seduction causes the two people involved to move together emotionally on a higher plane.
You have to have your priorities in order and know the consequences of your actions.
Just my two cents!
