A lot of people not only do not believe in God, but they also do not believe that Lucipher exists...which is exactly what he would want you to think.
And a lot of people not only do not believe in Ra, they do not believe in Set either...which is exactly what he would want you to think.
Its spelled 'Lucifer' btw.
And just think, if you were raised believing those ancient egyptian gods, you would believe them just as passionately as you believe in God now. And if you were indoctrinated in a different religion, you would believe it and disbelieve christianity. Your religion is no better or truer than any other.
When you proselytize the dogma that was spoon fed to you from the pulpit, don't be surprised when those who believe differently, or were once in the same position as you but were capable of objective thought instead of swallowing the same dogma, voice a different opinion. If anyone preaches exclusivity of truth, they deserve ridicule. | |

My intent is not to bait at all. My intent is to point out that making absolute statements when you have not the slightest shred of evidence is about the silliest thing in the world to do...especially when it's over something like ghosts or how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
Look what the poster said:
A person's spirit does not come back and inhabit the earth.
The hauntings that folks encounter are Demons and in some cases if it was a comforting feeling, an Angel.
Believing in that there are Ghosts is an absurdity and is a lie of Satan.
I pity Ghost hunters when they finally realize what they are hunting.
And the rest was a plea to convert...prosletyzing, which of course is clearly against the rules here, well known and frequently abused in both letter and spirit of the law by evangelists. But look at all of those quotes above...none prefaced with "in my humble opinion..." or "I believe..." Just framed as smug certainties.
So, I parodied it to put the shoe on the other foot.
There may or may not be ghosts just as there may or may not be deities. We don't know. That guy is convinced, somehow, that he is right and everyone else is wrong and has no problem telling you. I just thought I'd hold up a mirror  | |

Posted: 5/14/2008 3:38:59 PM | I am a firm believer in ghosts. During my service as a Police Officer, I was involved in 3 incidents involving ghosts. On 2 occasions my work partners and I actually saw the ghosts and the third occasion we witnessed supernatural events.
Up until these occurrences , I was skeptical about these kinds of things and as a trained Police Officer and Detective I had been taught to believe in the facts. After what I experienced, I now do believe in the facts. Ghosts most certainly exist. | |

Posted: 5/15/2008 9:38:29 AM | I believe in things I have seen as well as some I have not seen. I have seen ghosts up close and personal. I have asked God for a direct answer and been given one.
Last weekend I went on a ghost hunt. In Jefferson Texas which has a high incidence of ghost sightings. I did not see any ghosts, but in past situations I was alone when seeing the ghosts - so I am beginning to think they just think I'm one of them, until I'm in a group.
The hunt director had various equipment to read temps, electrical impulse, and such. We did get some readings that came and went.
One fact that was interesting to me (ok I think differently than some folks) is that we visited a site where slaves were shipped in to be auctioned off (by ship then by barge).
Some arrived dead from inhuman conditions... some died right there. Yet none of the ghost sightings have indicated the ghosts were black. | |

I've believed in ghosts ever since I was little, but have not yet seen one. I've had some unexplainable experiences -some of which may have been labeled as paranormal- but never thought about reincarnation until my then 2 year old son brought it up. We were traveling late one evening and when he asked if I was afraid of bridges (I am) and then he asked if I knew why (I didn't). He then proceeded to go into great detail about an accident that had happened on a bridge when "He was big and I was small" and at the end of the story and more like an afterthought, he said that he had been terribly sad that he "couldn't save me".
Granted, little children have profound imaginations, but during the course of the story he used words even I hadn't heard in years. It made me think and eventually believe. | |

Perhaps he has returned to "save" you in this life.

Posted: 8/2/2008 2:05:11 PM | I am not sure if I do or not, but at 2 seperate times in my life I have seen things that I can not explain. The first was when I was about 10 and saw a lady sitting in a rocking chair in a room upstairs in the house I use to live in. I was to little to remember the house much, but she was just sitting there and had a red bandana apron and bonnet on and a gray long dress. I could even see her hands and the motion of the chair. I later learned that a woman lived in that house before my time and I had never heard of her until I told my dream. She is said to have died from the wasting sickness and a broken heart because her husband left her for her sister. All though this was hear say from other people. This man was still alive when I had my dream and when my parents made me tell him my dream, he seemed very shocked, for I described his first wife completely.
The second time, was when I can only believe that I saw my brother-in-law come into my house one night. He did not say anything to me, but walked into my children's bedroom and disapperead and a few minutes later, walked out of the bedroom and left just as he came in. Not only did it scare me, but a close friend was up and called within a few minutes asking if something was wrong. The next morning about 5:00 a. m. my neice called and said her father had a heart attack about 11:00 p. m. the night before.
This is the same time I saw the man walk into my house.
Also, my Mother saw a woman walk by her window in the daytime and described what she was wearing and later found out that she and her boyfriend was killed the day before and her small son was missing and never found.
I also can see auras around some people. Some time the auras change from time to time, I see them mostly when the people are feeling very bad. So I don't know what to say about ghosts! You tell me. Jeannie 24774 | |

Posted: 8/6/2008 9:23:50 AM | I don’t believe in ghost I never have and I never will. I didn’t believe in Ghost in 1991 when I had one that would frequently come calling. I didn’t believe in him when he would open my back door or when he would walk through my house at night I didn’t believe in him because of my faith.
I didn’t believe in him when my ex wife would reaffirm what I was herring, I didn’t believe in him when he would open the cabinet drawers or the squeaks in the floor or the closeing of the doors.
I didn’t believe in ghost when I was touch by him or when I engage him, telling him that I had not fear of him. I didn’t believe in ghost when he threw things at me for engaging him. I didn’t believe in ghost when I woke from dreams and he was getting off of me. I didn’t believe in ghost when I couldn’t make him leave or stop him for coming. I didn’t believe in ghost when he screamed at me with a voice from hell. Although I found fear and cleared the whole room with a single step. I didn’t believe in ghost when during a great day with a great positive mood was instantly changed to a feeling of complete hopelessness and despair with a complete feeling of being damned and separated form god with all hope all love and devastation.
I didn’t believe in ghost while I watched everything in my life that I valued disappear.
I didn’t believe in ghost when I selfishly pondered the whole me faith that I decided to walk in and it came to me to show that I was completely separated from Gods grace.
I didn’t believe in ghost when I poured years of study into trying to understand what it is that we walk with.
But I do believe in the demon that I spent 13 years with and that I left at the Cross 4 long years ago and I think God that I was blessed with this understanding. But not nearly as often as I thank him for showing me himself as well.
Because I was shown that for as much as there is evil, hate, deception and darkness trying to claim us. There is love light truth and understanding awaiting us.
Everyone has faith, faith in something. I say let your faith be tested.
Loudly proclaim your faith right now and stand in it. Let it be tested and see where it leads you. If you want to know, ask him, that he gives that to you. If you want understanding pray over it. If you want to know if there is a God ask him to reveal himself to you. If you have something that is taunting you pray over it and ask that is be shown what it truly is. But if you are ever going to pray for any one thing I would say pray to be in the presents of God. He will blow you away with what you are going to feel.
The hell with ghost, myth garbage, to deceive and disguise.
Never has there even been any proof of such fairy tails.
But there is a mountain of information on spirituality dating back to thousands of years. Ever think why we can only date ghost back a couple of centuries but we can date evil spirits back to the serpent? Didn’t Christ say he was, when Satan fell to earth like a burning cherub? and with him he took a third of the angels? and doesn’t it say that the numbers of the angle were as many as the gains of sand on earth? That a whole lot of evil. Isn't there a holy war going on between God and Lucifer? Both wanting every soul?
Isn’t it God that wants every one of his children to return to him? Isn’t it Lucifer’s objective to claim as many souls as he can to show God that man was not worthy for him to bow down to. Hence his rebellion justified?
Am I the only one reading this story?
Have yew all just made it through the fist chapter then look to each other for understanding?
Does it make sense to look to a person of this world to ask about another world?
Is social acceptance you goal?
doesn’t the Bible clearly state over and over that Christ walked and cast out demon after demon?
Doesn’t he hold the keys to the gates of hell with a new covenant?
Ever see the Satanic order of his army and how there racking goes?
Is it wise for a demon that’s been playing the same game for many of thousands of years to stand up and say I am not a ghost I am a demon here to trash your world and to deceive you?
Would it be even wise for a demon the reveal himself?
If he did? wouldn’t that send you running to God the complete opposite of his objective? Do you think a demon would be a bit wiser being a couple of thousand years older then in the time of Christ.
doesn’t a person learn when the lose a battle?

Many of my spirits claim to be black. The one who claimed to be God was also black.
I think it is unwise to attempt to communicate with ghosts, which includes using a ouija board.
I am not a Christian, I follow Jesus, but I needed independent verification of the afterlife. I do not believe in the trinity, and this is not the thread to discuss that belief. It is just stated for reference to the point made, and for the person who posted it; for the sake of contrast and comparison.
I'm atheist and believe in ghosts.
I am an athiest who believes that the actual identity of the spirit mentioned in The Bible as God, was the collective intelligence of the spirits of the afterlife; but that in fact: "Truth" is God, and a few of the "Ghosts" had attempted to fool mankind. | |

Posted: 8/6/2008 3:10:05 PM | I believe in spirits, the afterworld, entities, and energy. We are all made up of energy, and we are connected to each other and to the earth. I believe when people die, some of that energy gets left behind. That is why "ghosts" are not often seen but strange and unusual events happen around us with no logical explanation behind them. Most contact is through things like lights (turning off and on), stereos and other electronic devices.
I do believe in hauntings and paranormal activity. I am a very spiritual person, and as a child, had a near death experience with a serious illness. And ever since, I haved dreamed often, vivid, in colour and surround sound. In that state of semi-conciousness, when you're not really asleep and you are not really awake - I have seen some things that I have no explanation for. One of these instances included finding a hand print on my left shoulder after waking up from a nightmare. I fit my hand over the print, tried with my left and right - but the finger prints left were too long to be mine and about twice the size of my own hands (very small hands). I have dreamed of other worlds, people I have never met and things I can not ever explain nor find words for.
So yes, I believe in spirits, in the spirit world, in spirit guides, in angels, demons and higher powers. I believe there is more than we can ever understand or comprehend in the universe. I believe that the more you open your mind, the more you will experience and see.
With respect to religious beliefs: in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit, amen. Who's to say the reference to spirit did not mean ghosts?

Posted: 8/6/2008 9:55:54 PM | I saw a ghost as a young girl living in an older house..... He had red hair, was a boy possibly 11 or 12. He just stood by the bed watching us..... I was sleeping in my parents bed. Both my mother and I saw him. He looked sad to me. I can still picture him to this day..... This did not last long, more like suspended time and space.
Funny thing though... I did not feel fear, just curiousity and the stirrings of pathos for an unknown soul made more acute by sharing the experience with my mother.
We are the sum of our experiences and as one lady put it, we all have our varied beliefs through our personal life experiences. The longer I live, the more I believe we are all connected spiritually to those who have walked the earth before us as one day we will be connecting with those who walk the earth while we reside in some other realm...
of our making of course.
I do not consider myself an atheist, nor do I consider myself a theist.... I know too little.... I evolve....that is what it is really all about. | |

First I must say it has always been funny for me to here the term "Athiest . we must go back to the begining of all things here . In our realm of explanation we can simply not have one element without another .The term or simply the definition of one thing has to have an oposite or it is meaning less. Ok as far as spirits or ghosts of course there is somthing out there ,remember the Bible even states it on many accounts remember when Christ was crucified on the cross there is a factual interpratation of the account where the body's were woke out of the graves and were walking through the cities. It even states there is a gulf fixed between us ! and take a look and mod spiritualism there whole basis was comunicating with the dead. or Native Americans or WICANS really could go on here for a while. But the big picture here is throughout the age of time there has been reference to the spirit ,soul,ghost in every culture or denomination of belief and is continuing. Im very fortunate to have seen em, chased by em, and touched by THEM. perhaps maybe in the garden we originaly had a greater intelect beyond our comprehention , and our eyes were open. And now perhaps we must be chosen. Don't know the answer there ,but honestly if there wasnot anything out there we would have given up the pursuit and wouldn't be having the topic today right. oh yeah And remeber darwin claimed it all fictional on his deathbed ,hmm perhaps a little fear ,they ran with an idea for that time and it was blown up on a idea. haa of course if you find bones from all over the globe and try and piece them together the structual shape is ganna look like a freak of nature haaa! | |

Posted: 8/9/2008 9:55:06 AM | Those with close minds have difficulties seeing what is "not there". The more open minded you are, the more chance you will experience a super natural power whether it be hauntings, spirits, angels, etc etc.
It is also said that spirits will appear more to children and animals. I watched a documentary once on the learning channel (sorry I forgot the name) about children with imaginary play mates. The theory was that the imaginary playmates were spirits or guardian angels as opposed to someone the kids had made up. Puts an interesting spin on things. | |

Unfortunatly most ghost fanatics don't like it because I don't assume the existance of ghosts and anti ghost fanatics don't like it because I don't assume exclusion of the existance of ghosts.
