Lets look at it this way; who would tell someone they look old for their age.
Exactly, most people are usually (key word there) kind sometimes too kind, some have a hidden agenda.
I simply reply "you look nice for your age".
In your particular case I would say “Nice at any age”.(No hidden agenda.)
What ever happened to "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"?
It still stands, people are just seem to be sick of hearing it , mainly the shallow people that are hung up on looks. | |

Cause they may think they look good to others but way i see it is that there trying just blow there own horn stick there feathers out an strut when they just look like a normal everday avrage male . I known some men that society doesnt list them as good looking men but they have heart an other things abt them that make them what i would consider handsome .  | |

I mean at some time you will have to roll over in the morning and "poof" you can't make the photo you appear. So best be real from the get go. You never know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. she complains in her profile that men are not emailing her. she gives you the impression she thinks she's really hot. maybe to some men she is. but you just come away from that profile thinking "i'm not what she's looking for."
but that headline?? "stop drooling already" what did she expect? men don't care for that crap anymore than women. maybe she means it to be funny. if that's her idea of a sense of humor well..... forget it. | |

No offense Spitfire, but that's total rubbish!! I didn't say it bugs me! I said it turns me off!!!!!! That doesn't show insecurity on my part at all or make me look petty! It shows that I'm not attracted to arrogance or conceit. There are a lot of great looking men on this site whose profiles don't begin with "I am a good looking man."
OP: Keeping track of the profile information of multiple members and then creating a thread about it strongly appears to show a degree of irritation. If that doesn't apply to you, then that's fine.
Many men and women call themselves "good-looking" or "attractive" on their own profiles. It happens frequently enough to qualify as normal. It's not arrogant nor egotistical. Healthy people generally think they are attractive to other people. Would any of us be interested in dating someone who believed she/he was unattractive? No. When I read a member's profile, and she claims to be attractive (which is often), I generally look at the pics and decide for myself if I agree with the member. Sometimes I do agree, and sometimes I don't. However, I invariably respect the fact that SHE herself thinks she is attractive. It's a plus for members to believe in their own attractiveness regardless of whether anyone else agrees or not.
I don't know why normal self-confidence would be a turn-off. If one doesn't agree with a given member's self-assessment, it's easy enough to move on to the next profile. | |

Posted: 9/6/2008 3:19:21 PM | your idea of their attractiveness may not be their own idea or someone else's for that matter...i just read a post by a woman who was upset that everyone thinks ugly people can't get laid...?......what's with all the generalizing....maybe they're just trying to beef themselves up...maybe they hope the reader has blurred vision or stepped on their glasses....those kinda people need to sit in a bar...and get people drunk

I do not dress like a young woman but I have a light heart for life. Maybe thats the differance in some. | |
