Or something else? As you're effectively a free website and don't derive any real income from it (presumably, the money received from advertisers covers overhead and perhaps some salaries) I would hope that you're not deferring out of some misplaced nobility to the music industry.....if in fact I should be able to link the entire playlist as you've suggested in the above post, please advise me in restoring the full length to all songs.....thank you | |

why is it that a song that I uploaded to Imeem and embed in to my profile plays the full length ,but only plays 30 sec to anyone else who clicks on it when they view my profile.?
It seems to be a POF glitch rather than an Imeem one. After all, Imeem has allowed me to have the full version, no matter which computer I view my profile on, yet everybody else is stuck with the 30-second Imeem version. It's just not logical!
Of course it's to Imeem's advantage to have many people click on the 30 sec track and go to there site..The more clicks the more bucks.Bottom line- POF should find another partner

Oddly enough, Imeem used to have the full version of my song, and it was available to all who viewed my profile. This state of affairs was in place as recently as June 21st, when I played that version for a guest. Sometime between then and July 1st, the full version disappeared from my profile to be replaced by the 30-second version.
I had to create an Imeem profile so that I could upload my own version of my song and have it on my profile......however, all that effort has been wasted, because I'm the only person who can access it!

Posted: 7/8/2009 5:07:45 PM | It's my understanding you can use vids taken from Imeem's Music Video Collection or
from an artist's Imeem profile (if they provide videos, of course), but vids you've
uploaded yourself to your own account will be discontinued.
If you uploaded a music vid from another source and it's been removed, I strongly
recommend you do a search for the artist/song in Imeem and see if they have it
available to embed. Other than that you're outta luck. | |

uploaded it. If so, when theirs was deleted your link went with it.
I'd do a search on Imeem and see if you can get it from an Imeem approved source. If
Imeem had it and they deleted it from their own stock, or the artist removed it from
their end, it's gone for now. Maybe it'll come back, who knows?...lol. | |

Posted: 7/8/2009 5:28:31 PM | Thanks Mo, I never searched profiles on Imeem, only went to their music or video search for the whole site, and that's how I found it, as well as the Linda Ronstadt video I had before that.... which is also gone.
The last video (Smokey Robinson & Ronstadt) I also found on "My Space Music" but was told it is "no longer available" so I'm assuming it's gone forever.... for now.
