| Omaha dating scene is weird?
Posted: 10/5/2008 1:19:04 PM | I think we all know it will, I have a date set for next weekend with a gal that I have been talking to and things seem to be going well and we have alot of the same interest, think alike in alot of ways, so this may be good. Kind of funny we have realized we may have played together at times as kids!! LOL! But she is not from Omaha either so that kinda defunks anything to do with this BUT! My brothers girlfriend moved here a few years ago from Chi town and has remarked to me that she has not made any gal friends to hang out with since moving here 2 years ago! Now these words are hers! Not mine! But anyhow she feels Omaha gals have there nose so high in the air that if it rains they will drown! And as far as I am concerned she is so super easy to get along with its not even funny! So if an out of state gal cant even make friends here with them, How can a guy date them? And yes I know they are not all like this, but there is a good number of them if not too many. I would rather be out of the dating pool and have some one, but we will see!

Posted: 3/17/2009 10:13:20 PM | | I grew up in a Chicago suburb (I use the term 'grew up' loosely). I've lived in the LA area and Atlanta for over 20 years before Omaha. I find women HERE are comparatively more guarded. I was correctly warned by fellow workers that Omaha hibernates in the wintertime. It was recommended I find at least a snuggle partner for the winter. I don't agree with that idea, and I'm still completely single, unwilling to just hook up with someone out of convenience. I'm hoping there will be some more groups forming for warmer weather activities and the opportunity to meet more people. I'd like to think there's more to Omaha than salt corrosion and bars. As is the usual case, a genuinely nice guy must bear some burdon for the actions of the jerks that have preceeded him when it comes to convincing a women you are sincere and not a player. But being human, my patience has its limitations. | |
