Posted: 4/20/2008 6:15:18 AM | Well I am not famous but I did have a great business years ago under my married name and if I was to be googled all of my info would come up. Now that I have my maiden name back that isnt a big concern but if I were to be googled again I would still come up as I have been in the papers and on TV several times( with maiden name). I wouldnt say that I am famous but there was a book wrote about me 20 years ago.
But I still have my pictures up, just not the naked ones:)

Kind? ...people from all walks of life can be stupid or asleep. But again, they could be famous or not. The emphasis on famous people is so odd to me. Do we need to follow others THAT badly? Well, they even get elected to lead us officially, so I guess it's true....human nature never ceases to amaze me. Illusion is favoured over reality so often we don't know one from the other.

Posted: 4/20/2008 10:45:49 PM | I haven't been here very long and I've chatted with more than one person who's name would be recognized .. so, yes, they are here, they have been covert .. and apparently they travel. *grin* Haven't met, though. Turned out we didn't especially click. Seems I am even more picky than they. (One was a lady looking for a lady .. interesting what can be learned on the net.)
Didn't Halley Berry say in an interview that she goes to online chat forums .. incognito .. just so she could talk to regular people? She found it humorous that when she would reveal who she was to someone she might be interested in, she was rarely believed. | |

Posted: 5/14/2008 7:45:26 AM | Everything I know about celebrities I learned from the quality journalism contained within the pages of glossy gossip magazines, so I believe I would instantly recognise a celebrity profile on here...
Their home town will be something that ends in ... Clinic .
They will only have chosen between one of two body types...anorexic, or pregnant.
They will only ever have chosen yes for 'uses drugs'. (Choosing 'no' would only indicate a need for counselling for denial.)
Their relationship status will be set to automatically and permanently cycle between single and married and back again.
The photos will definitely be hidden because they were actually taken as they got out of a limo, and, well....those sorts of pics will get their profiles deleted.
Hey, does anyone run guided tours of all the famous profiles?
Is it possible to rummage through their discarded emails to scavenge stuff to sell on ebay?

Posted: 5/14/2008 8:57:25 AM | I've never understood the whole worshipping thing over "famous" people. It blows my mind that people go so "ga-ga" for "celebrities ... and that people actually waste their time and money watching and reading about those people.
I pay so little attention, that Mel Gibson (for example) could be sitting at the table next to me, and I likely wouldn't even notice him. Likewise if there was a photo of someone "famous" on here, I likely wouldn't even notice... much less care.
Since they are just people, I'm sure they do the same as us ... so yeah, there is likely a few around.... | |

Posted: 5/17/2008 5:57:42 AM | As others have stated, I could care less about famous people. Hollywood people have more money than me, and have a skill I dont posses. So does my neighbor. He is an electrician, I'm not.
They have many of the same problems as us common peasants. They get zits and the common cold or flu. They have cancer and death. Many enjoy to cook, although I doubt they clean their own house. (I wouldn't) Camping or crafts for hobbies. I never did understand all the ga-ga over them.
If I somehow got lucky and met a famous actor, chances are I wouldn't date the guy. Why bother? It would never turn into a relationship. I'm very much against materialism/consumerism, so I'm certain our lifestyle choices are quite opposite. | |

That was kind of my point. If anything, I think the famous would have a harder time dating than we non-famous people. We regular folks don't have to necessarily worry that someone ONLY likes us due to the famousness.

Never say never. While it IS unlikely, it's not impossible. If someone without a photo e-mailed me, but the conversation was good and flowing, I could be convinced to be patient for a photo.

Me either. Granted, there are certain people I really think I'd like, however, I've never met them. They could be NOTHING like how they seem. But then again... they could be even better than they seem. It's one thing to be keen on someone though, quite another to be all "ga-ga" as you put it. | |

Posted: 5/17/2008 8:19:40 AM | I came across a very famous actress. She even said in her profile that she acted and I remember seeing a few movies with her . So they do exsist. She seemed extremely down-to-earth in her profile and she was on hardly anyones favorite list, which I found a bit odd .

I've met ... and worked on ... quite a few famous musicians ... one thing that I've learned is this ... even though their egos really really REALLY like all of the attention that they get from the masses, it also gets to be really really REALLY cumbersome and draining for them ... it's amazing just how "normal" many of these people are when removed from the trappings of their success and how much they value having a normal conversation and some down time with regular folks.
Even as I have been excited to have an opportunity to meet or do body work for someone who is well known, I've learned not to overstep that boundry of fan worship ... many times I rarely even acknowledge that I know ... or care ... who they are ... just engage them as I would anyone else ... and don't make it a big deal. Most really appreciate that I'm not in their face and wanting something of their time or energy like so many others.
Something that I've learned in meeting and talking too famous people ... there is a high price associated with fame and I could care less about being famous ... I just want to be paid.

The guy did some crime (murder I think) and then went on the run and one of his stops was at one of his POF gf's in some other state. | |
