If someone would just take the lead on getting these politicians to be truthful or face consequences
And what consequences would that be???
We impeach a president for a blow job... but not another President for starting an endless war, lying to the American people, deceiving Congress and the UN, destroying America's reputation around the world, emboldening the enemy, and being singlehandedly responsible for endangering the lives of our soldiers and causing the 4,000+ meaningless deaths and 30,000+ critical injuries to our soldiers in Iraq to this day???
Fact is: Bush lied... 4000+ died.
What reprocussions, what consequences??? None but that which We The People bear.
Oh, but Bush promises those deaths won't be in vein... what he really means is:
"We're not leaving until I can justify these deaths."
So more lives will be lost until Bush can save-face.
If ever, ever, ever there were a candidate for impeachment and even imprisonment... he is it.
Yet there are no consequences even for war-worshiping Skull & Bones member George W. Bush.
Only for former President Clinton denying to having the "white presidential stretch-limo" get a lube-job...
Look at him now... it's laughable. What impeachment!?
Why even try? There are no real consequences for politicians.

if i remember correctly, I believe that Bill Clinton(since you pointed him out) when he was president he bombed Serbia for many days weeks. Then in 1998 he bombed Iraq for kicking out weapons inspectors so to say that he did not cause death and destruction is false. He may have not killed any of our soldiers but he did kill many Bosnians and Iraqis with his bombings. So, not only did he get a lube job, he also killed others. The reason that Bush will not get impeached is that people like Hillary Clinton and the rest of the dems voted to give Bush the power to go to war. Remember Congress can always say no and since the dems had the majority they would have won. Also, even Bill Clinton himself thought Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. Which he did eventually. They did find scud missiles that werent within mandate of the Gulf war in 1991 and they also found mobile weapons labs. Those are both weapons of mass destruction. Do I agree it is time to bring the troops home? Yes I do believe that but for what, to fight another war. As Sen Joe Biden has said we need to bring troops home and send them to the Darfur region to stop the bloodshed over there. Tell me Brandon, would you be against sending troops to Darfur to fight another war? I am curious to hear your side on this | |

Remember that the reason Bill Clinton bombed Iraq (a pointed strike like I say we should do to Iran) was because France was building them a nuclear reactor and they'd installed anti-aircraft turrets in defensive positions as part of the facility? Also, they wouldn't allow inspectors into that facility; remember??? Serbia/Kosovo is a NATO effort; I know because I work with an Albanian who fought that war. If you are talking about the time Russian troops rolled in there and we told them to leave, no big deal - they left without a shot being fired. If you don't think Russia is dangerous I can't help you; but I'd love to convince you otherwise... really, I would.
They never found mobile weapons labs in Iraq. The missiles they did find were sub-standard, they couldn't even hit Kuwait City; how the hell were they a threat to anyone??? Simple answer: they weren't.
In truth, I would much rather have seen the 4000 US soldiers die in fighting to end the genocide in Darfur, or finishing what we couldn't in Somalia. There are some very evil men in this world and I think it would have been better to lose 4000 men in a war we can actually win, with a clearly defined mission, with attainable goals and objectives. Instead, we're stuck in Iraq with a "watch and wait" stance readying ourselves for the day we've got to kill Muqtada Al Sadr and his Iranina Kudz-backed militia in Basra and the Sadr-City slum in Baghdad. Instead, we're stuck in Iraq with John McCain and George Bush both hoping for a chance and a reason to launch a similarly hopeless war in Iran in an attempt to distract the world from our failure in Iraq; after all... we're in two of their neighboring countries of Afghanistan AND Iraq both.
Truthfully... I think we should send troops to Darfur. Why nobody is doing so is beyond me. Those genocide inducing gang-militias wouldn't stand up to the full might of anybody's military. Send in the French Foreign Legion, they'd shit themselves. Send in the Marines, they'd shoot themselves. Hell, I think we could even send in the pieces of the Iraqi military as it is now and even they would be able to control it. It would take such a small force to ensure the genocide and oppression stops in Darfur... as I said, why nobody is doing so is beyond me.
I'm not antiwar. I'm anti Bush, but that wasn't always so. Before he was even elected, my English teacher said, "He gets elected, we're going to war in Iraq." I refused to believe him, even listed George W. Bush as a "hero" in a project I did for school. THEN we went to war in Iraq, and I became disgusted with Bush. The truth is, he had an agenda before he took office and he used 9/11/01 to his advantage.
We all gave him slack after 9/11/01, and he took that extra rope and he drug us along to hang Saddam with it.
He betrayed us.

Every country we went into was either oppressed by it's government or bombed us! I would say the ends justify the means! Atleast to those being killed and tortured by their governments and asking for our help!
You really want to love and help people here at home and around the world? The we sometimes have to fight for our freedom and theirs! The world leaders who bash and trash us sit back and watch genicide and do nothing! I don't have a dog in the fight and if MaCain or any potential President had the associations like that of Obami then he or she would fall under the same questions!
People seem to want to say if you don't like Obamis politics or who he chooses to hang with your racist or a hater and if your not for Billary you are gender bias...I don't get that from most...Most people are concerned with who will lead us and in what direction.
