The fact is that just seeing people with talent would become boring very quickly and without the rubbish you would end up with a revamped version of opportunity knocks.

Having the rubbish on is what makes the show more watchable, seeing people with no talent what so ever making themselves look like idiots and having a few famous people telling them that they are rubbish.

As for the phone lines we all know why they are there and that is to make a load of money. As we have found out they are about as bent as a nine bob note. They will make it so at least one "Semi-talented/talentless" act gets far to retain that element of the show plus the "Favourite" will always be kept in.

I can take or leave these shows, however as long as lots of people watch them then you can believe they will keep coming. To be honest I would like to see one where we get to selected our politicians, even with the phone line scandals I can't see it being any worse than the current system.

I have yet to discover what my best talent is, although I think I may be running out of time, my lads do say I can shop for England though so maybe thats it..

And as for tonight show, that Charlies dad should be shot for letting his mate ( maybe owes him a favour or money ) write that song for his son when a place in the final depended on it..It was a load of crap and lost that lad his place in the final in my opinion..

I hate reality TV with a passion. It drives me nuts. It is just any old dross to make us ring up and vote for something so that people can make a fortune out of the phone calls.

That said one of my talents/party tricks is that I have a squeeky eye. It sounds disgusting apparently and can be quite loud.

I despise modern TV talent shows, believing them to be mainly designed to further the interests and increase the bank balances of the judges. These people get to appear week after week, variously buttering up or knocking down the contestants. On "Britain's Got Talent", the arrogant judging panel get to sound buzzers of disapproval in mid performance, in order to impose maximum humiliation. This would never have been acceptable on the TV talent shows I grew up with like New Faces and Opportunity Knocks.

My idea of major entertainment would be to see Piers, Amanda and Simon taken by surprise by having a huge tub of excrement tipped on their know it all heads at the end of a show, "Carrie" style.

Oh, and my talent is TV criticism...

I have never watched Big Brother, although I did catch a fleeting glimpse of it in a pub once. I immediately rushed home and rinsed my eyes out in bleach.

Next Thurs Big Brother starts again!!

I cant wait! And has anybody seen the pictures of the new BB house? Brilliant. So colourful.

Oooh this Britains got talent is really really good. I think that 12 year old little girl is the winner of the whole program.
Farham? Farrel? Ferrel? Ferret? I cant remember her name.

BB is coming back?? Oh god - time to get my cave ready for hibernation!! Hate that show with a passion! Although what I hate even more is going for dinner with the girls and the only conversation they can have is about BB.

As for BGT - load of old rubbish as well!

Final episode of criminal minds is on tonight though - turn off the phone, open the wine and get glued to the telly!!

Oh Hell!! I hate these so called 'talent' shows with a passion............... but wtf!!!

I just caught the last few acts and WOW!!! The young lad singing 'Requiem', the four beautiful ladies playing violin/cello, and those two guys doing the Michael Jackson routine.... I have changed my mind. Britain DOES have talent!!! They were all totally superb!

I have absolutely no talent, other than to be able to encourage people to better themselves, or to spot someone who has.

As for Britain's got Talent, these are my thoughts:

Andrew Johnston is a very talented singer.

The world may not know what's hit it, when Faryl Smith's voice matures. She is truly amazing, already.

Signature[/] are a talented and funny act.

Escala, the four piece string quartet are superb. I'm sure they have lots of appeal for the guys, who don't like that kind of music, too.

I'm glad I don't have to judge them.

Any of the above, could be signed up for stardom anyway.

So one talent show has come to a close with the correct result, Jodie is the new nancy....but the drum rolls now, who will be the winner of britains got talent....frankly not sure, just dead chuffed jodie won on the beeb, but out of all the acts I think I have to go for the electric classical women

Well I have a tear in my eye, I don't think anyone wanted it more than that boy, go George! What a brilliant example for every young person, finally a teenager we celebrate instead of vilify.

I have an excellant talent, that I wish I could teach other poor souls.

My talent is that I know how to turn the TV over as soon as garbage TV programmes begin.

Reality TV is just a load of garbage that should be banned for dumbing peoples senses.

Jeremy Kyle (and others), Britains got talentless, Big Sister (sorry brother), I was a celebrity (get me noticed) & all the rest of the total reality guff that fills our saturday night television. All these should be banned & the people taking part locked up never to be let out for crimes against intellligence.

well, just watched the finals of i'd do anything and bgt, jodie definitely deserved to win, so talented and consistent, george may have been the other winner but for entertainment value i thought signature should have won,
