Pics from 50 feet away and they don't have any close ups of their face, or close ups of the face no body shots. I have ZERO expectations anymore. And honestly I really haven't been meeting anyone because of those exact reasons. He has to be VERY HOT in a on line pic before I will meet him. I know it sounds horrible but attraction is the key for me.
A very hot pic means he'll look average in person. Well except you "mthomjmark" your sizzlin, smokin hot. | |

Posted: 6/8/2008 1:06:50 PM | i'm always amazed at guys that say they're 5'10" and they come walking up 5'5" with two inch heels. how does that work? i can see trying to stuff a belly under your belt. you can't lie about height. i seriously had one gent tell me he was 5'7" and was that okay. i am 5'4". i was like sure, lol. he shows up, and probably came up to my eye level. and he had heels on. i felt like saying where's the rest of you, pal !!!! he also told me he was italian and was speaking arabic on the phone. hello, i live in dearborn, michigan, home to the largest arabic population in the U.S.

I'm met some people that looked a bit different from their photos, but pretty much the same. Although I have noticed that most girls are always a inch or two shorter than what they actually put on their profiles. | |

And have more than one profile. why this guy told me about his lying and dating games, I don't know. But apparently he gets a lot of dates. And even poses as a person of a totally different ethnicity sometimes, and then meets up with the girls and gets away with it, they like it. | |

Please allow for a margin of error in height to be up to 5" shorter than stated in profile.
Please allow for a margin of error in the weight department to be about +20lbs than stated in profile
Please allow for a margin of error of about 50% less hair than stated in profile
Please allow for margin of error of about 5-10 years older looking than stated in profile.
Also, please remember to take into consideration glamor shots, graduations shots etc.
But please allow an exception of about 10% because these people do post recent and clear images of themselves and look just like their photos.

I am very specific in my profile re my height and weight - even if it turns off someone at least they know the truth upfront and no one wastes their time. Also, if you know the truth up front and still want to meet than we are already starting the relationship based off of truth and not hope/dreams/lies.
And FYI, I have only met one woman here who was "way off" on her profile --5'1" and 170 lbs is not "average" | |

This is my first time on these kind of sites and I noticed some guys who write me post pictures with date... from 5 years ago..Honestly I ignore those... My pics are recent and I try to be as much honest as I could to avoid people wasting time so I want the same... Hopefully whoever I decide to meet will be honest as well... The chat can be wonderful thru emails but if I realize he is not the person I thought I was talking to ... meaning a liar... like shorter or taller than he says... or older, overweight..whatever.. it could be the a single thing but I am out... I strongly think that if this is starting with lies ...I don't see any future with me.. I am very demand in this point... the guy must be very Honest ... otherwise...just a nice to meet you he will hear from me... let's see... I will let you guys know whenever my first experience shows lol

I tend to use the profile pics as a way of getting an idea of what they look like, an overview.. but I do not expect that person to look exactly like their photo... Some people are photogenic, some aren't.
So if a guy shows he has dark hair, I will expect them to not be blond.
I try to have few expectations...
I think online, it is easy to build up a mental image of someone based on your own wants and likes of a person... Your view of someone can easily be different to someone else's view on the same person.
As a result, I am rarely disappointed and if I am, I recognise that it was my failing... usually. At the end of the day, if we get along, that's the most important thing...
If Mr. dark hair does end up being blond that is a different story.... Of course weight can fluctuate... Pictures are still only a general idea...
It would be ridiculous to upload a picture that isn't you, if you are going to meet someone anyway, they'll know it was a fake... and who wants to spend time with a fake?
But if they state they are not religious and you discover they are deeply religious... I would call them on that. or anything similar.... | |

I find it amusing when people actually think they still look like that 10 year old picture they have posted
A few of the men I have met through personals ads were not at all like their ads depicted them to be in more of a personalitysort of way. You know, the ones who claim to be decent, caring and compassionate but are in reality emotionally abusive control freaks who will tell everyone what a b***ch if you don't do as they want you to do.
