What dollar store do you shop you get your clothes so cheap? Dude.. does your mom still buy your underwear? I did not say it was for just that one date, however since you said it, dating in your 20's is different. But when you get that crappy car with all the extras added on it...Hmmm I get it, It is the personality of the car right??? I can't just saunter into a bar in jeans t-shirt and sneakers.Men do not spend as much on their appearances. And if guys did not care, Victoria's Secret and Lasenza would not be doing so well. How many guys pass on us girls who wear the jeans and the tee shirt while their heads turn for the girl in the skirt and heels? Heels were not invented because women like to wear them... They were invented because crocs do not look good with stockings!

Oh I'm sure it was me. LOL. How dare I think $30ish for a pair of undies might be on the pricey side. 
Also FYI OP, I'm not a dude, and I'm far from being in my 20's. I've also been buying my own undies for quite some time now. Additionally I do have appropriate dresswear for dates, without having to buy a new outfit each time I go out with someone new.
Seriously, I have to buy my bras from speciality shops because of the cup size, and even I don't pay that type of dough. I dunno, I guess I would rather a guy meet me as I normally am than put on a front just for a first date. Each to their own I guess. Nothing wrong with dressing nicely but I guess I just figure I could grab a nice skirt and a nice blouse from my existing closet, instead of using a first date as an excuse for a shopping spree, and then blaming the guy for making me pay so much money. JMHO but it comes a cross a tad high maintance to me. | |

That prep for a first meet - I dunno, screams of self-confidence issues to me. The packaging ain't gonna change what lies beneath, and since new panties and bra are a must for a first meet, probably fair to assume that dude is gonna see what lies beneath pretty quick anyway. So probably money well wasted.

Many years ago, I was shopping for something special and I learned something that has stayed with me and I continue to practice it today. A woman can look all confident and classy on the outside with nice hair, nails. pretty outfit, but it does not all come together without comfortable underwear. I also learned that wearing sexy undies helps boost some self confidence. It DOES NOT MEAN that the potential date is going to get to see what you are wearing first hand. I dress for myself and if I want to wear a $50 dollar bra and $30 panties ....I do it for me!
I remember going for a job interview once and I decided to wear some outrageous sexy underwear....at least it was a bit over the top for me at the time (now it is all old hat . All through the interview, I felt like I had a special secret and I let a sparkle show in my eyes and I had a confident nature about me that I don't think would have been there without that edgy feeling. I got the job...and it was one of the best jobs I ever had in my life!
So stop slamming the op... I know I have done it myself...gone all out with a new outfit for a date...especially if he is someone I really have taken a liking to. Besides, any excuse for new duds works well with me! | |

Actually, heels were invented to make a woman's body look sexier. It's a visual thing where it makes a woman's butt stick out more and makes her legs look longer. It's very sexual, as a matter of fact, makes a woman look like she is "presenting" like in nature. It doesn't mean she is at that moment, but that's kind of the evolutionary thought process behind that.
