Im going to say that it was near the Point because he lives in Brielle and keeps his boat on 70 E in Brick..... and we do the dock and dine thing @ clarks!

Posted: 5/19/2008 6:26:37 AM | ok, the outdoor bar/grill thingy is actually part of the Ocean Place Hotel. people who stay at the hotel or have parties (weddings, sales meetings, etc,) can include having a BBQ on the beach with a roaring fire as well. they also include Caribbean music with steel drums, etc. i don't think this will be available to your group.
they also have a tiki bar on the hotel grounds (near the ocean) with live music and liquor and plenty of seating (including strolling on the beach and/or the boards). you may want to check this out. only negative would be rain, but they have inside bars as well.
another suggestion might be contacting Long Branch (proper dep't) and requesting a bonfire, BBQ for a particular night on the beach. you'd get your beachparty but i doubt if alcohol could be allowed.

It's Ocean Place Resort & Spa, a very short walk north from Pier Village. It is a popular place for weddings and receptions. Very nice accomodations on the beach: furniture and palm trees and volleyball. | |

I live 2 houses away from there. if anyone would like to help me, Id be willing to organize something in mid-late June. (thats the best time crowd and parking wise) It would be a great time. we could have a private area too for a fee, Im sure or just take over a section. It should probably start in the afternoon cuz thats the Tiki Bar at its best. any takers? | |
