Posted: 4/24/2008 8:09:57 AM | Actually, it doesn't matter what the whole leg looks like if you've got ankles like Hillary Clinton's. A slender ankle is what sets off the gams. You could have legs a mile long but thick ankles....yuk.
Also, don't ever, EVER ask anyone for their opinion of your legs, if you're wearing wooden clogs, clodhoppers or black rubber spongeees. Your legs will NEVER look good with those on your feet.
I won a leg contest in my twenties....the grand prize included Lloyds of London insurance on my gams, for a year. That was kinda cool. A shaving nick would get ya a cool $5K !
Always wear monotone from waist to feet. Black skirt, black stockings, black pumps. Never break the line of color. Tan skirt, tan or beigh stockings, beige pumps.
Alot of what makes a good pair of legs, is how graceful they move. Walking one foot directly in front of the other. Sitting with legs crossed at the ankle. The way you rise to your feet or the way you gracefully take a seat ~ the dance of slowly swinging one foot out the car door, it's a come hither movement that must be learned to be appreciated by the eyes of men. Ladylike high heel pumps or strappy sandals do the best job of framing those legs. But you must have the grace and experience of walking in heels appropriately, like Montreal Guy says...you can appear clumsy.....so practice at home till you've got the walk and sonner to perfection, before clammering to the street. It's really just called "grace". Learn it. | |

clogs can be quite sexy!...some of us guys can look past all of those things - yeah I know we're shallow but, a pretty smile can cloud most things (oh yeah and great boobs )

Posted: 4/24/2008 10:18:31 AM | Funny that "tanned" is part of the requirement for nice-looking legs. I've had a natural tan all of my life but I no one has ever commented on my legs because of it. Every time I go to the gym I think about how none of the white people there have white skin anymore. I can't wait till natural is back in style.
We women are always harder on ourselves than the fellas. I would define nice legs as I would define any other body part that's nice... in shape. Period. Cellulite is unavoidable sooner or later but if you can keep it to a bare minimum with exercise. | |

My theory was correct. Women have much higher standards for themselves then men ever bother to apply.
Can't speak for everyone, but noticed from reading the forums and from life experiences that women seem to have alot higher standards on appearance on themselves and others than guy do. Of coarse only speaking from the limited perspective of my life so not true for everyone. Though for instance I have a beautiful female friend. She is about 135 lbs, athletic, has like maybe 10 percent body fat, she has a difficult time trying to do a pinch test anywhere on herself for fatness test, yet she still insists,no matter what I or anyone else says, that she's fat. The only place that would count is you know... And she exaggerates it like she is really overweight. And seems common enough. So self-conscious about weight, acting like the average guy carries around a bathroom scale on a keychain just to weigh a woman before talking to her. So what's with such higher standards when many guys don't standards that high... | |
