Here's an update.... this past Friday night I did things a little different. I came into the Kareoke Bar with my girl friends and left to go elsewhere just as he was coming in. I told him I'd be back later and we were all headed to a different place for a while. When I finally got back he was still there and for the first time seemed pretty drunk. Apparently he'd been drinking more than he usually does while I was gone. He was filled with questions about my night on the town which I answered some, but not all questions. We had our usual fun time talking and laughing and sparking. When it was closing time it was obvious he couldn't drive. So of course I offered to take him home. After a little convincing he accepted and I drove him home in my car. We had a few minutes of kissing and touching in the car and he asked me to come into his place. I am really not there yet and told him "i'd better not this time." Now remember this guy still hasn't even asked for my phone number. We've just been running into each other for months. So I mentioned how I'd be away starting May 1st for 1-2 months and wouldn't see him for a while. He immediately wants to know if we can get together tomorrow. BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally I'm thinking he wants to go out. Finally he wants to meet somewhere other than by chance in that bar. So we plan on meeting up tomorrow ( which is now today). We went to lunch and went driving in the convertable for hours. It was a lot of fun. We talked a lot and I really got to know him better. He's a really nice guy. I like him. We were together from 1-7:30pm. Finally I ask him about the phone number thing. His exact words were " I don't want to complicate things." So I guess I have my answer. He just likes things the way they are. I guess he just sees no need to develop anything more with me than what we have. Anyway, I guess he just wasn't as interested in me as I was in him. So I won't continue wasting Friday nights talking to him after I return from my 2 months away. What a shame. I rarely meet someone I like, and that I'm attracted to all rolled into one.
