Posted: 6/2/2008 5:26:07 PM | | well im new here and so far ive been lucky that the people i chatted with have been very nice, but in chatrooms ive experienced a couple of guys getting obsessive one was really sweet just reckoned he was in love with me but the other started to freak me out i kept blocking him and he kept rejoining using a different name and once had a long conversation before i realised who i was talking to, i changed chatrooms and some how he found me there to. lol so here i am somewhere new with no pic | |

Posted: 10/19/2008 5:22:22 PM | I'm not quite sure about stalkers. Though, I love the VIEW ME option. I've had a number of emails, repeats. Initial one is nice. Then, the.. "why are you responding to me?" Then after that, "well, you most be a very hard woman to please. Good luck in your search, I know it won't be easy."  <<<The people that have sent me repetative emails, are the ones that are constantly in the VIEW ME option.

I agree - you don't know someone through emails and instant messaging. That's another reason they don't come to my home until I'm sure they are safe. | |

Posted: 10/19/2008 8:37:41 PM | Actually, the first woman I met from here became so alarmingly fixated on me after our first meeting that I eventually turned to her Father for help with the situation. Talking things out with her, and trying to establish a friendship, had no positive effect whatsoever.
I have no problem with being loved, smothered and fixated upon... provided these things are coming from someone I desire them from. And no I don't believe that love operates on a certain timeframe... but when someone is hell bent on somehow manipulating you into reciprocating what they are feeling and striving towards with you, that can easily become way too intense for comfort.
Having to hurt someone that truly is longing to be together with you, is an emotional nightmare... You're having to reject the very thing your heart cries for, because the person giving you these things just isn't the one. What a torment for both. | |

After I reailzed he was 10 years older than he told me, sent me a pic that was 15 years old (when he had all his front teeth), and that he had several scars from knife and bullet wounds I had to say bye bye. He'd follow my posts and post in the threads I was posting in talking about this shallow girl he met.
I'd have to say though if you have that many stalkers that maybe you might be doing something to encourage the situation. Perhaps getting them to the point they are starting to feel emotion for you before you let them go. Is there any possibility you are an emotional tease without realizing it? | |

Told him point blank it was done, over, finished... to stop all contact I was not interested, still hasn't stopped. I do not respond in any way, shape or form so you would think he would move on to the next victim.
Remember do not send mixed messages "Over" means over. No more contact. | |

I dunno if the guy I've had problems w/on this site a few months ago is considered as being a stalker, but he's often tried to get me to respond to him by using various "alias's " on here, there's also another guy who's on here that decided to pop up at my home unannounced becuz "he was just in the neighborhood", that's a HUGE pet-peeve of mine and I'm still fuming over the sh*t he pulled, mind you... I've never had any physical relationships w/either of the above.  | |

Actually it is only slander if you are lieing about someone to demean them or do harm to them. If you are telling the truth and in doing so this happens to destory them in some way it is not slander....check out the legal meaning. there is not one charge he could lay on her that would stick if this WEST COAST guy did in fact do all she said he done. Unfortunately I was unable to confirm the terms of service with POF I seem to not be looking in the right place for that so not sure about that one. | |

Posted: 12/29/2008 5:34:26 PM | Well, I remember this past summery, while shopping in the produce market, there was this woman who seemed to be following me from one part of the store to the next. I initially spied her as I was selecting ears of corn. Then, she was near the celery, and later next to the asparagus.
I was starting to get a little anxious. Finally, I noticed her, less than a foot away, right in my face, with a large bamboo shoot in her hand.
That's when I blurted out "Lady, why are you STALKING me?"
And that's when everybody around us laughed! | |

I will check backgrounds to see if your good at what you do when it comes to stalking because nothing worst than a stalker who can't stalk. But seriiously though if I had one I would be suprised and may pay for her to see a doctor cause hell have you seen what I look like. Posted: 3/8/2009 10:28:51 PM | I think the modern-day definition of "stalker" is too watered down, and gals (or guys) who are TRULY stalked don't get enough justice.
Many girls from their stories about their ex and whatnot equates "annoying" or "calls too much" with "stalking". For some odd reason, I think some people want to say they've had a stalker!
Stalker is when someone camps outside your place or follows you around. They always seem to appear at the grocery store when you go there routinely. They go to the same bars you go to on the nights you go to them. They consistently invade your space over a period of time, and are either angry at you or insanely vying for your attention... that's stalking!
I've had one, very short lived though... but by modern-day language of "calls and emails too much when they clearly know I dont like them", I've had a handful over the years. | |

Posted: 3/9/2009 12:12:17 AM | I've had one stalker, still internet stalking me as of a week ago (after more than two months of completely ignoring his communication attempts), who is currently on POF, yet I didn't meet him through POF. Went to HS with him actually.
I ignore him completely. I consulted with police but did not file any police report as, in order to do that, I would have had to provide my new address. He has connections that could easily access that information on his behalf within MPD. Not worth it given what I know now of this person's last 35 years, how his abuse basically destroyed his ex-wife mentally (whom I met) in addition to clear and convincing evidence of extensive violence in his home of 10 years. I left the state - it was the safer choice.
Maybe he'll meet his female counter-stalker on POF so they can stalk each other.
