Well said Kimbo.I have also been to the meets you have been to and they were great.Everyone got the chance to talk to each other and I am sure that many have become good friends,certainly from my point of view I now have a wider circle of friends. Hey,we all know how to party!!!! I would be up for Stirling could ya keep me posted.

Posted: 5/13/2008 9:03:16 AM | Secret Agent and BettyBoop I just want to say that I did NOT put any of the hosts down in my posts. I too think they are doing a good job. I have been to lots of meets all over so know all about meets and Im also in the middle of trying to organise a couple of different ones in Edinburgh so I know its not easy.
The point I was TRYING to make was that I posted on the thread saying I was coming from Edinburgh etc and I thought that one of the hosts might have acknowledged my post although Susan had given me the info re the hotel etc a simple hi, nice to see you on board etc would have been nice, that is all. If you read the thread it looks like most of those going know each other whereas I and my friends would be strangers. Its no big deal so dont want to go on about it and certainly dont want the hosts to feel i was trying to put them down in any way as that wasnt the case.
Hope this clears things up as I dont want to offend anyone and am hoping to get to a Glasgow meet soon, wouldnt want to get a 'glasgie kiss' from anyone   | |

Betty boop im just going to look at the Grand ole Oprey now as I fancied that when i first saw it. I know you are all a friendly bunch. I attended the first glasgow meet at the Maltman (think that was the pub) and had a really nice night so looking forward to doing it again.   | |

If your going to the Oprey night, there's a hotel within staggering (oops walking) distance. Etap Hotel in Springfield Quay, next corner down from the Oprey, rooms are £32 per night ( 3 sharing). Basic but clean and really handy for town too... | |

Audrey, looking to do the Ghost tour probably early oct before it gets too cold but when it will be dark(more spooky) so will deffo keep you posted on that event. | |

are we meeting outside/in the bar/or just making our own way into the function suite...have the hotel come round yet to letting us sit together as one party.
